Ling Xiao’s victory over Tongtian forced the Sect of Interception to surrender the Qiankun Cauldron and prepare for the Investiture of the Gods War, while Wen Zhong’s campaign brought the conflict to Western Qi. The Ten Ultimate Formations began falling as disciples died or joined the Investiture of the Gods List, and the battle ended with only four formations standing.

• Ling Xiao defeated Tongtian, who apologized and returned the damaged Qiankun Cauldron to Nuwa before leading the Sect of Interception back to Golden Ao Island.
• Kong Xuan led Sect of Interception disciples to support Great Shang, while Ling Xiao and Zhen Yuanzi restored Guangchengzi and brought him to the Heavenly Court.
• Wen Zhong marched a million Great Shang soldiers against Western Qi, where Jiang Ziya and Ling Xiao gathered Western Qi and Great Qin forces to oppose him.
• Duanshi used the Qilin Seal to free Wen Zhong’s Ink Kirin, and Wen Zhong retreated after announcing that the Ten Ultimate Formations would open in three days.
• Jiang Ziya pressured Shen Gongbao to let volunteers enter the formations, and Fang Bi and Fang Xiang died in the Wind Howl Formation as their True Spirits went to the Investiture of the Gods List.
• Juliusun sacrificed himself in the Earthly Inferno Formation, and Dingguang Immortal broke the Wind Howl Formation before charging into the Golden Light Formation to face Bi Xiao.
• Ao Moang killed Zhao Tianjun, Sun Tianjun, and Dong Tianjun before breaking the Blood Transformation Formation, while Manjusri killed Qin Tianjun, Bai Tianjun, and Yao Tianjun and broke two more formations.
• Li Jing’s forces routed Great Shang’s soldiers, Huang Tianhua seized Yu Hua’s Fiery-Eyed Golden-Eyed Beast, and Ling Xiao collected the fallen Heavenly Lords’ spirits as only four formations remained.

After the Ten Ultimate Formations fell, Bi Xiao was captured and corrupted by Demon Lord Jidu, while Ling Xiao refused to intervene as the sisters’ bonds and the Sect of Interception fractured. Bi Xiao died and entered the Investiture of the Gods List, and Jidu ultimately submitted the Demonic Sect to Dao Ancestor Hongjun, whose favor Ling Xiao affirmed.

• Qingxu Daode Zhenjun broke the Red Water Formation and killed Wang Tianjun, while Shen Gongbao used the Six Soul Banner to help Bi Xiao and Yuan Jiao resist their attackers.
• Yang Jian killed Yuan Jiao, and Bi Xiao fled toward the Demon Break Mountain Range as Shen Gongbao went to Golden Turtle Island to report the Ten Heavenly Lords’ defeat to Tongtian.
• Demon Lord Jidu captured Bi Xiao and planted a Dao Heart Demon Seed in her, while Ling Xiao chose to watch events unfold rather than intervene.
• Duobao rescued Bi Xiao, but Jidu trapped the Three Xiao Sisters in the Primal Fiendish Array and drained Yun Xiao and Qiong Xiao’s origins and Sect of Interception fortune.
• Tongtian confronted Jidu, but Bi Xiao sided with the Demonic Sect under the seed’s influence, and Qiong Xiao left after breaking with Yun Xiao.
• Ran Deng killed Bi Xiao, and Ling Xiao purified the Dao Heart Demon Seed from her spirit before she entered the Investiture of the Gods List.
• Ling Xiao forced Jidu to swear submission to Dao Ancestor Hongjun and allowed the Demonic Sect’s disciples to live freely so long as they did not slaughter innocents.
• Dao Ancestor Hongjun praised Ling Xiao, who pledged to follow him and awaken the Human Dao after the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation.

Ling Xiao gained Hongjun’s favor and confronted Rahu, while Tongtian chose the Pangu Banner and deepened his rift with the other Sages. Kong Xuan’s attempt to claim the Azure Luan Clan ended in his defeat, and the Heavenly Court’s Bestowment Ceremony began amid growing hostility toward Ling Xiao.

• Hongjun granted Ling Xiao authority over Purple Firmament Divine Lightning, but Tongtian accepted the Pangu Banner despite his disciples’ pleas and lost Hongjun’s favor.
• Ling Xiao accompanied Hongjun, Yuanshi Tianzun, and Tongtian beyond the World Barrier, where Rahu offered Ling Xiao a place in the Demonic Sect and demanded its independence after the tribulation.
• Kong Xuan tried to claim the Azure Luan Clan, but Queen Mother of the West captured him after Qing Zhi and Qing Xuan exposed his attack on their sacred ground.
• At Jade Void Palace, Ling Xiao helped Qing Zhi take the Wu Tong Tree and Nirvana Divine Fire, then led her to unite the Azure Luan and Phoenix Clans under the Heavenly Court.
• Duobao and the other Sect of Interception disciples returned to Golden Ao Island with Kong Xuan, while Tongtian accepted the Heavenly Dao’s restraints and prepared for the coming war.
• Ling Xiao, Wangshu, and the Sages arrived at the Heavenly Court’s Bestowment Ceremony, where Tongtian and the Sect of Interception were mocked and challenged.
• Haotian appointed Qiongqi Emperor Gouchen, and Holy Mother Turtle Spirit was struck by lightning after criticizing the Heavenly Dao.
• Tongtian grew more hostile toward Holy Mother Turtle Spirit as Sect of Interception disciples blamed Ling Xiao, while Yun Xiao defended him and Chang’e and the Mystic Maiden of the Nine Heavens rebuked her.

Tongtian’s Sect of Interception entered the Investiture of the Gods War against the allied forces, and Ling Xiao helped turn the conflict into a devastating defeat for Tongtian’s disciples. The surviving Sect of Interception members withdrew to Golden Ao Island as the other Sages prepared for the final conflict among Great Shang Dynasty, Western Qi, and Great Qin.

• Ling Xiao oversaw the appointment of the Five Elder Emperors, while Kong Xuan was expelled from the Phoenix Clan and the Golden-Winged Great Peng became Yang Jian’s mount.
• Tongtian sent Duobao, Kong Xuan, Yun Xiao, and other disciples to attack Great Qin and Western Qi, but Ling Xiao warned the allied Sages and gave Dingguang Immortal the Forbidden Divine Wheel.
• At Azure Dragon Pass, Randeng, Daoist Cihang, and Dingguang Immortal defeated Jinguang Xian and Qiong Xiao, and Qiong Xiao entered the Investiture of the Gods List after Ling Xiao told her their enmity was settled.
• Duobao and Yun Xiao confronted the allied forces at the Source of the Yellow River, where Yun Xiao surrounded them with the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation and several other formations.
• Dingguang Immortal and Wen Jing Daoist killed Our Lady of Golden Spirit, while Yun Xiao killed Qingxu Daode Zhenjun and grievously wounded several Sect of Enlightenment disciples.
• Burning Lamp broke Yun Xiao’s Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, Jin Chanzi captured Our Lady of Wudang, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva destroyed Immortal Pilu’s body and soul.
• Antarctic Immortal killed Our Lady of Wudang, and Yuanshi Tianzun seized Duobao as he and Tongtian argued over the war and the fate of their disciples.
• Tongtian withdrew his remaining disciples to Golden Ao Island, while the other Sages arranged for wounded disciples to recover and prepared for the coming conflict among Great Shang Dynasty, Western Qi, and Great Qin.
