Kami could not help but feel somewhat moved. In merely a few days, their power had become incomparable to what it was before. Were aliens all this gifted? How long had it even been? Their strength had risen so quickly—it was terrifying!
"Haha, we have Mr. Popo and the others to thank for guiding us these past few days. Otherwise, we wouldn't have improved so quickly." Chaya spoke brightly, then glanced at Selyne beside him. "Oh, right. Selyne's tail needs Kami's help too!"
"Her tail?"
Only after Chaya mentioned it did Selyne look behind him, shocked to find that the tail behind him had vanished at some point.
Chaya explained, "Kami's magic is amazing. It works like a switch and can seal away a tail. Besides, according to our current philosophy of keeping training simple, having a tail is more of a burden. It's better to seal it away."
"Mm!" Selyne blinked to show that she understood. Still, wouldn't cutting off her tail hurt?
Chaya smiled, grabbed her furry tail, and cut it off with a flick of his hand.
Selyne's brow creased slightly during the process, and she turned to glare at him. Then, following the same method he had used on Chaya, Kami cast a spell to seal Selyne's Saiyan tail as well.
Kami was more than happy to do it. It was only a trivial matter to him, and besides, he knew that the more they accepted his help now, the more they would do their utmost to help when Earth faced danger in the future.
There would still be many things in Earth's future that would require their support.
After her Saiyan tail was sealed, Selyne moved around curiously and found that it did not affect her ability to use her strength. In fact, she felt even lighter when performing moves, and she smiled in relief.
"All right, it's time for us to go..."
Suppressing their Ki and lowering their battle power to around eight or nine hundred, Chaya bade Kami and Mr. Popo farewell. Then he took Selyne's hand and leaped down from the Sacred Temple.
After passing through the thick clouds below, they greeted Korin when they reached Korin Tower. Chaya and Selyne then continued down along the slender tower, and soon Korin's Holy Land, stretching along the horizon, came into view.
"Where are we going now? Aren't we returning to Planet Selma?" Looking at the endless dense forest, Selyne furrowed her delicate brows and turned to ask.
Chaya's dark eyes gazed into the distance, carrying an unusual glimmer in their faraway depths.
He shook his head. "No. Life needs a balance between work and rest. Blind training alone won't bring better insights. We've trained independently for so many years; it's time we experienced how humans live in groups. Maybe it'll help our Ki grow. Besides, I heard Earth's food is incredibly delicious. I plan to live here for a while. What do you think?"
"Sure!"
Since Chaya had put it that way, Selyne naturally had no objections. They had lived on Selma for so many years without ever interacting with civilization. They might as well take this chance to experience life on Earth—and, uh, its delicious food.
In truth, the latter was the most important part. But before that, they needed some money for daily living expenses. Chaya happened to know of a place where a great deal of gold, silver, and treasure was buried: an underground pirate vault that Son Goku had once entered alongside General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army while fighting the Red Ribbon Army.
Although that part of the story was still many years away, those treasures should have begun piling up already, right?
He immediately took Selyne's hand and used Instant Transmission. The two vanished from Korin's Holy Land.
After his great increase in strength, Chaya's spatial ability had also grown stronger, making Instant Transmission much easier to use. His time-related psychic ability, on the other hand, had awakened earliest but had remained at a standstill until now, unable to make any breakthroughs. Perhaps time abilities were simply more mysterious.
Over a vast blue ocean in Earth's Northern Hemisphere, Chaya and Selyne appeared in midair.
"The treasure you mentioned is here?" Before them lay a magnificent sea of rolling waves. Selyne asked skeptically.
"Of course. I saw it clearly from the Sacred Temple. It should be somewhere nearby." Chaya casually made up an excuse and began searching according to his memories.
After flying around the sea several times, he roughly determined the location. Then he dove downward, plunging into the ocean with a splash. Guided by his memory, he quickly found the entrance to the treasure.
Entering the pirates' underground vault, they found that the traps the pirates had set up were still quite crude. After avoiding them, they easily reached the underground chamber where the gold and silver treasures were stored. Sure enough, several chests glittering with golden light were piled inside. These had all been plundered by the pirates from all over.
Looking at the enormous pile of gold, silver, and treasure before him, Chaya grinned. With a sweep of his hand, a crack opened in the void and swallowed all the valuables.
Once he was done, he clapped his hands. "Come on, let's go into the city and exchange this gold and silver for money. I'll treat you to all the best food and drink. Let me tell you, nowhere in the universe understands cuisine better than Earthlings. Earth's food is unbelievably delicious..."
"What are we waiting for? Let's get going!"
The allure of good food clearly won over the girl's heart at once, and she hurriedly urged him to leave.
From then on, a rumor spread through Earth's culinary circles. Once, a young man and woman had swept through countless restaurants in a mad frenzy, only leaving after the chefs collapsed from exhaustion in the kitchen. For many years afterward, numerous restaurants refused to offer all-you-can-eat promotions.
Yet the two culprits were currently holding huge piles of food and devouring them with satisfied expressions. The clattering of chopsticks and dishes rang without end, while two towering stacks of plates had already risen on their table.
"Boss, another serving of roast suckling pig!"
"Another bowl of mixed sauce noodles for me!"
"I want another roasted lamb leg!"
Chaya raised his plate and shouted loudly. However, upon hearing their calls, the restaurant owner shuddered. He approached them, sweating profusely. "Esteemed guests, we truly have no ingredients left. How about... you try another restaurant?"
"You ran out already?"
Chaya's face darkened. Seeing the restaurant owner drenched in sweat, he waved his hand. "Forget it, forget it. You're running a business here. How could you fail to prepare enough ingredients?"
"Yes, yes!"
The restaurant owner wiped away his sweat and nodded repeatedly, bowing as he agreed. Inside, he thought, You two have eaten enough for us to use over seven days of business.
After paying the bill, Chaya and Selyne walked out of the restaurant. Watching their departing backs, the owner finally could not hold on any longer and collapsed onto the floor.
The waiter beside him hurried over to help him up, but the owner slapped away his hand and snapped irritably, "What are you standing around for? Hurry up and clean up. Close the restaurant! I'm taking a week off... no, a month! I won't open for a whole month. Please, let those two little devils leave already..."
Chaya and Selyne stayed in the city for over ten days, eating their way through every restaurant there. Whenever any restaurant saw them coming, the staff looked as though someone had died.
It was not that they did not want to make money. Serving customers like this was simply too exhausting. Moreover, whenever the two arrived, they could not serve any other customers. How could the restaurant stay in business if this continued?
"Selyne, see? I told you. Earth's food is the most delicious."
"Mm-hmm!"
The girl nodded vigorously. The recent bout of frenzied eating and drinking had been the most satisfying dining experience of her life. "Chaya, can't you store things in Dimensional Space? Why not see whether you can store food there?"
Her reminder made Chaya realize it too. His spatial psychic ability really could be used to store food!
"Then let's go shopping right away. Once we leave Earth, we won't be able to eat food this delicious anymore."
Thus, for the next stretch of time, they busied themselves purchasing food. The facts proved that Chaya's spatial psychic ability could indeed store food, and time inside was practically stopped. No matter how long food was kept there, it would not spoil.
This only intensified the pair's desire for food. The money in their hands kept dwindling, until two months later, every last bit of money from the Pirate Treasure had been spent on buying food. Chaya's private space was packed with enough food for the two of them to gorge themselves for three or four years.
One had to know that Saiyans had enormous appetites. If it was enough to let them eat to their hearts' content for three or four years, it was impossible to imagine just how much food there was.
