Background & History
Nuwa created the Human Race and held the title of its Holy Mother, but the Three Pure Ones regarded her as having neglected humanity after attaining Sainthood. Human settlements were left vulnerable to Demon Race persecution, with humans treated as food and blood resources. 105 155
She lived apart from the Demon Race’s heavenly territories in Wa Huang Heaven. When Yuanshi Tianzun sought her Breathing Soil, Nuwa exchanged it for the Twelve Yuan Chen Tower, considering the tower substantially more valuable than soil whose original purpose—creating humanity—had already been fulfilled. 133
Nuwa remained watchful of the growing connection between the Three Pure Ones and the Witch Clan. She secretly observed Li Yun’s battle at Pangu Hall, where his Pangu bloodline, Law of Strength, and Laozi’s willingness to lend him the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Pagoda made her recognize his unusual importance. She briefly considered removing him as a potential link between the Three Pure Ones and the Ancestor Witches, but abandoned the idea after realizing he was protected by all Three Pure Ones. 153 155 156
During a confrontation in Witch Clan territory, Nuwa avoided escalating a possible Witch–Demon war by presenting Dijiang with the Mountain-Splitting Axe. She explained that its unusual compatibility with Witch Clan users came from Chaos Origin Stones and an inscription of the Size as Desired divine ability. 154
Abandonment of the Human Race
After learning that the Demon Race intended to use human souls and flesh to strengthen weapons against the Witch Clan, Nuwa initially reacted with shock. Fuxi nevertheless persuaded her that the Demon Race’s victory could make them rulers of the Primordial World, and she chose to abandon humanity in favor of securing her own future within the Demon Race. 264 265
Nuwa negotiated with Laozi to surrender her share of Human Race Destiny. Her conditions required that the Three Pure Ones not interfere in Demon–Human affairs, not aid the Witch Clan against the Demon Race, and support her future contention for supremacy; Laozi accepted with protections for his brothers and their disciples. 268 269
Rather than giving the destiny directly to Laozi, Nuwa transferred it to Li Yun because his remaining Human Race bloodline allowed her to sever the connection properly. She publicly renounced her position as the Human Race’s Holy Mother, and Li Yun received thirty-five percent of Human Race Destiny. 273 274
The decision deeply damaged humanity’s faith in her. Although Nuwa felt weakened by the loss of destiny, she also experienced relief, while Laozi and Li Yun worked to ensure the Human Race’s remaining recognition of her would be severed. 273 274 311
Establishment of the Demon Cult
With Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi’s approval, Nuwa founded the Demon Cult at Wa Huang Palace. She invited any Demon Race cultivator or kin below the Quasi-Saint Realm to undertake her assessment and become her disciples, rapidly drawing followers from throughout the Primordial World. 287 288
Her sect ultimately included three known Direct Disciples: Di Yi, Huo Ling’er, and Lan Yue. Nuwa considered them potential inheritors, though Lan Yue’s origin at the boundary of Chaos and the Primordial World made her especially noteworthy. 370
Conflict, Regret, and Later Developments
Nuwa later learned that Hongjun and Demon Race leaders had acted behind her back to sabotage her agreement with the Three Pure Ones by attacking humanity. The revelation made her suspect both Hongjun’s manipulation and Fuxi’s possible involvement. 371 372
After Laozi gained the Human Dao’s support, Nuwa recognized the scale of what she had lost by renouncing Human Race Destiny: she had given up a possible path to becoming the Humanity Dao’s spokesperson. 440 441 780
Hongjun later entrusted Nuwa with the Qian Kun Ding, an Innate Supreme Treasure, after she offered to support the Demon Race in the conflict with the Witch Clan. 454
Within the Small Primordial World, Nuwa used her creation-related laws to reach the Late Saint Stage. Her attempt to draw more deeply on the world’s power was treated as an attempt to seize control of it, provoking the world’s will and trapping her in a near-fatal backlash. 836 837
Nuwa burned her Essence Blood to escape the collapsing world, but Li Xuan and the other Saints prevented her from leaving the region because they feared retaliation against their subordinates and sects. She remained stranded until the group later returned to the Primordial World. 838 875 902
Personality
Nuwa is pragmatic and highly transactional. She accepted the Twelve Yuan Chen Tower without knowing the Breathing Soil’s full value because the immediate exchange favored her, and she used the Mountain-Splitting Axe to defuse conflict rather than risk a damaging Witch–Demon war. 133 154
She is ambitious and politically calculating. Her decision to sever ties with humanity was driven by the prospect of Demon Race supremacy and her own potential rise as Lord of the Primordial World; founding the Demon Cult further bound her future to the Demon Race. 265 267 287
Nuwa is also cautious around stronger alliances and hidden schemes. She monitored the relationship between the Three Pure Ones and the Witch Clan, reconsidered hostile intentions toward Li Yun after recognizing his backing, and grew alarmed when she discovered Hongjun’s interference in her arrangements. 155 156 267 372
Her failures leave lasting resentment. After no Saint intervened during her crisis in the Small Primordial World, Nuwa openly remembered their refusal and later directed particular resentment toward Li Yun. 838 875
