Terminology and Scope

• The Immortal Realm is the collective upper realm containing thirty-six vast worlds, rather than a single fixed world 205.
• It is called “Immortal” because it contains high-level immortal cultivators, but Saints and Great Emperors also live there; ascension does not automatically make one an Immortal 213.
• In Su Chen’s account of the altered timeline, the former Immortal Realm became the Myriad Realms after history diverged from its original course 490.

Structure

Ascension and Access

• A lower-realm cultivator can normally enter through an Ascension Gate only after reaching at least the peak Great Emperor realm 167.
• The gate opens when a lower realm’s Heavenly Dao becomes strong enough; the strengthened Xuantian Realm reopened its gate after a long absence 209.
• Ascenders are not sent to a fixed destination. The Great Dao randomly places them in comparatively weak worlds or regions, making targeted interception difficult 209.
• The Immortal Realm’s Great Dao Barrier is difficult even for Su Chen to cross. He considers direct travel to lower realms challenging even for top Immortal Emperors 268.

Cultivation and Longevity

• Mortal Immortal is the first realm of Immortal Realm cultivation 198.
• Mortal Immortal, Earth Immortal, and Heavenly Immortal are described as foundational stages; reaching True Immortal marks a qualitative transformation in strength 227.
• Immortal Emperors are top-tier figures and, at one point, were said to exist only in the ten strongest great worlds 228.
• Becoming a Dao Master cannot be forced through resources alone; it requires immense time and personal comprehension of the Dao 719.
• True physical immortality requires at least the Master Realm. Cultivators below that level still need energy replenishment and may die when their lifespans wither 462.

History

Formation and the Great Dao

While traveling upstream through time, Su Chen found an earlier, desolate Immortal Realm in which its Great Dao was only beginning to form. Believing its collapse would erase the future, he used the Time Great Dao to stabilize the Heart of the Great Dao. Immortal power surged forth, countless beings were born, and Su Chen formed a connection with the realm that identified him as its Lord 464.

The same temporal account records Su Chen destroying the Spirit of the Immortal Realm’s Great Dao, causing the Great Dao to collapse again and stripping away his cultivation and Time Great Dao 464. Ten thousand years later, the Heart of the Immortal Realm began condensing anew, but its renewed history developed differently: the Primordial Epoch lasted three times longer and was followed by the Age of Gods 466.

Divine Court Supremacy

Before departing to investigate the realm’s deeper mysteries, Su Chen ordered Tongtian to unify the Immortal Realm and protect the Divine Court 461. Over the following hundred Epochs, Tongtian led the Divine Court in destroying the Upper Three Realms. The Divine Court became the Immortal Realm’s supreme authority and co-lord 461.

Era of Decline

After hundreds of Epochs, immortal power began to diminish drastically. Breakthroughs became increasingly difficult, powerful cultivators avoided battle to conserve energy, and the Great Dao weakened into near silence 462.

The decline eventually became an Age of Dharma’s End: cultivation disappeared across most of the realm, martial cultivation replaced immortal cultivation, and lower realms—including Xuantian Realm—turned toward technology 462. The Divine Court and Wangyun Mountain endured by relying on an independent small world created by Tongtian that could continue producing immortal power 462.

Revival

Later accounts describe Su Chen restoring the Immortal Realm to vitality. The revived realm possesses abundant Time Great Dao and complete rules, though its strengthened laws also make breakthrough lightning tribulations far more dangerous than before 757.

Connected Entities

• Xuantian Realm — A lower realm whose strengthened Heavenly Dao reopened the Ascension Gate; Su Chen later moved it into the Myriad Star Realm, where its inhabitants were transformed by immortal energy 209 282.
• Divine Court — Su Chen’s force, instructed to unify the Immortal Realm and eventually established as its co-ruler 461.
• Nine Nether Demon Kingdom — Overlord of the Tianming Realm and a major hostile force connected to earlier attacks on the Xuantian Realm 205.
• Spirit of the Immortal Realm’s Great Dao — A being Su Chen perceived as resembling himself; its destruction triggered another collapse of the Immortal Realm’s Great Dao 464.
• Su Chen — Linked to the Immortal Realm as its recognized Lord after stabilizing its forming Great Dao 464.
