Background and Establishment

Su Chen founded the Divine Court after proposing a government for the Xuantian Realm based on hierarchical territorial administration. Its initial plan reorganized four domains into three states, with cities, counties, towns, local officials, enforcement bodies, and disciplinary bodies beneath them. The framework drew on Su Chen’s knowledge of governance but was adjusted for a cultivation world. 277

He rejected the name “empire” in favor of Divine Court, deliberately invoking—but intending to surpass—the historical Supreme Divine Court. Su Chen declared that the Su Family would become rulers of all realms and lords of the Immortal Realm; Su Qingtian, Su Yuanba, and the family leadership accepted the ambition. 277 278

After nearly three days of deliberation, the Court’s offices and halls were established. A floating island bearing the “Divine Court” plaque appeared at the center of the Xuantian Realm on the day after the discussions ended. 277 278

Although many initially considered the name arrogant, Su Chen later confirmed that the current Divine Court and the Supreme Divine Court were the same power. Historical accounts describe the Supreme Divine Court as having nearly unified the Immortal Realm, though several terrifying forces and the top three ranked worlds were never truly brought under its rule. 285 354 428

Territorial Administration

The Court initially divided the Xuantian Realm into Qitian State, Wenxian State, and Shenzhou State. After conquering the Northern Nether Empire, it reorganized its holdings into three states, twenty-one domains, and hundreds of cities. 310

The Southern Heavenly Gate serves as the entrance to the Xuantian Realm’s Divine Court. Su Chen established it as a symbolic threshold before placing colossal guardian statues at its sides. 310

History

Rise in the Northern Nether Empire

The Court began expanding beyond the Xuantian Realm by occupying cities within the Black Gold Domain. Its seizure of nineteen scattered cities and killing of the Domain Lord’s supervisors provoked retaliation, as outsiders viewed the new organization as presumptuous for using the Divine Court name. 285

Its standing changed completely when the Northern Nether Immortal Lord moved to eradicate it. Su Chen revealed his true strength, killed the Northern Nether Immortal Lord and three Divine Blood Sect Immortal Lords, and declared the Northern Nether Empire to be Divine Court territory. The victory established Su Chen as an Immortal Venerable in the eyes of the Myriad Star Realm. 306 308 309

Control of the Myriad Star Realm

The Court’s wealth and cultivation resources enabled rapid advancement among its members. Its subjects generally considered its rule less oppressive than rival powers, provided they paid their offerings. 310 346

When Immortal Venerable forces attempted to move against the Court, three were destroyed, Spirit Sword Mountain withdrew from the Myriad Star Realm, and the remaining Heavenly Mountain Holy Land and Wuji Palace submitted. Soon afterward, the Divine Court unified the Myriad Star Realm without meaningful resistance. 349 350

Conflict with the Upper Three Realms

The collapse of the historical Supreme Divine Court was tied to the machinations of the Upper Three Realms. Su Chen concluded that their hostility toward him and the Court could not be avoided, making their destruction his chosen answer to the karmic conflict. 453

The Nine Nether Demon Kingdom later invaded the Court’s Immortal Crane Realm as bait intended to draw out Su Chen. The assault instead exposed the Court’s hidden Forbidden Experts: Zhi Tianpeng killed the Evil-Eyed Royal Venerable, Ling Yuan assassinated the Nine Nether Demon Emperor, and Bai Ao suppressed Duan Yao. 446 456 457

Tongtian’s Stewardship

Before leaving the Immortal Realm, Su Chen ordered Tongtian to unify the realm and protect the Divine Court. Over ten million years, Tongtian fulfilled the order, destroyed the Upper Three Realms, and made the Court the Immortal Realm’s supreme authority. 461 489

Seclusion and Reappearance

After countless further ages, the Court’s experts retired to the Thirty-three Heavens, a world created by Su Chen roughly half the size of the Immortal Realm. Its long absence reduced it to a fading legend known mainly to ancient powers. 756

The Court returned when the World-Destroying Demon Lord threatened to turn the Immortal Realm into a purgatory. Its arrival was heralded by bells heard across the realm and the manifestation of a colossal Heavenly Palace visible throughout the Immortal Realm. 757 758
