Background / History
Qingfeng Gang origins
The Su Family was formerly known as the Qingfeng Gang. Su Qingtian married Ye Qingling after they met by chance, and Su Chen was born within three years. Less than a month later, Ye Qingling's powerful background captured her and attempted to exterminate the Su Family for allegedly defiling their bloodline. A mysterious expert saved the clan, though Su Hongyuan suffered lasting injuries. 22
Bright Moon City crisis
At the beginning of its rise, the Su Family was one of Bright Moon City's five Nascent Soul-stage families, alongside the Wang, Li, Yuan, and He Families. It had two Nascent Soul cultivators, while the Wang Family had three and was its principal rival. 3
The clan's finances were nearly exhausted by efforts to treat Su Chen's apparent crippling. It retained approximately 930,000 spirit stones—enough for only two or three months of austere operation—while cultivation resources for the younger generation were at risk of being cut off. 3 6
Su Chen's recovery and revelation of a Sacred Body changed the crisis. He provided vast spirit-stone reserves, allowing Su Qingtian to replenish missed allocations and substantially increase resources for the direct lineage. 7 8 15
War with the Four Great Families
The Wang, Li, Yuan, and He Families first attempted to weaken the Su Family economically by opening competing shops and driving down its income. 8 9 Their campaign escalated into a direct assault using Deity Transformation cultivators and a Mysterious-grade killing array. 19
The Su Family survived through Su Chen's intervention and the apparent power of his mysterious master. After three Void Refinement reinforcements for the enemy were killed, Su Hongyuan ordered the Four Great Families' members and assets eradicated. Their accumulated industries, treasures, and spirit stones became the foundation of the Su Family's subsequent expansion. 21 23
Aptitude reforms and expansion
Su Chen remade the direct lineage's spirit roots into Heavenly Spirit Roots, beginning with trusted members such as Su Yuanba and Su Qingyun. The process was painful, but it fundamentally increased each recipient's cultivation potential. 27
All direct descendants were subsequently upgraded to Heavenly Spirit Roots. Su Qingtian imposed the Soul Restriction Curse on them to prevent disclosure of the clan's unprecedented aptitude transformation. 28
The reform continued until every direct descendant possessed a Sacred Body. Su Chen also selected nearly thirty collateral members for Heavenly Spirit Root upgrades and supplied nearly 30 billion high-grade spirit stones to support the clan's greater consumption. 56
Internal collapse and restoration
After hundreds of thousands of years, the Su Family's old leadership had largely ascended or disappeared from public life. With no external enemies capable of challenging it, the clan developed competing factions, suffered widespread kin-against-kin conflict, and broke into several independent powers. 214
Su Quan and the descendants of Su Yuanba remained loyal on Wangyun Mountain, but their lineage was reduced to only a few dozen people. Their appeal brought Su Chen out of seclusion, leading to the punishment of Su Hai and other betrayers. 214 215 217
Before ascending, Su Chen instructed the restored clan to select disciples for character as well as talent, warning that he did not want its earlier collapse repeated. 224
Immortal Realm reunion
Su Chen used the Blood Seeking Art after reaching the Immortal Realm to locate dispersed Su Family bloodlines across the Canglan Realm. He found descendants and ascended elders scattered across several worlds, including Su Geng, Su Hua, Su Yuanba, Su Yunqian, Su He, and Su Hongyuan. 228 245 266
He established a new Su Family in Fengyu City, placed Su Hua in charge as its patriarch, and later entrusted day-to-day management to Su Yuanba. 233 236 248
After gathering nearly all ascended members, Su Chen brought the clan into the Qitian Diagram and returned with them to the Xuantian Realm. The original elders resumed their historical ranks at Wangyun Mountain. 267 274
Organization and Governance
- The early clan included at least one thousand members across direct and collateral branches. Its direct lineage was noted for unusual unity and an absence of internal infighting. 2
- During the Bright Moon City period, Su Qingtian led as family head, while Su Qingyun managed the clan's accounts and resource figures. 6 8
- Su Chen initially declined Su Qingtian's offer to assume the family-head position, but later acted as Patriarch while remaining largely detached from ordinary administration. 21 56
- Su Qingtian took primary responsibility for routine leadership after the Supreme Era elders returned, while Su Chen handled major decisions and threats beyond the clan's ability. 274
- The expanded Wangyun Mountain clan eventually numbered millions of direct and collateral members, with tens of millions more servants. It also developed nearly thirty elder positions and renewed factional rivalries. 432
- Su Family identity tokens serve as proof of membership and command respect across the Eastern Region. 29 97
