History

In the ancient era, the realm was a demonic world ruled by the Primordial Heavenly Demon. During the ancient calamity, the Supreme Dao Ancestor led immortals from the Daoist Magic World into the realm and established Daoist lineage legacies there, linking the two worlds as upper and lower realms. 652 734

The ancient immortals, gods, and powerful native cultivators later vanished in an immense calamity, plunging the realm into an era of Dark Turmoil. Their inheritances survived, however, allowing later generations to reconstruct cultivation traditions over tens of thousands of years. 338

Cultivators eventually combined ancient inheritances with methods developed in the darkness. Mahayana cultivators again began transcending tribulations, proving the Dao, and establishing the great lineages of the modern realm, including the Heavenly Court, Underworld, Four Seas Dragon Palace, and numerous immortal and divine sects. 338 374

Xu Yang arrived through the Reception Dao Seal, infiltrating the realm under Xiao Qingyun's identity rather than entering openly and risking identification as an Outer Realm Demonic God. He selected the fragmented Southern Continent as the basis for Myriad Dao Academy's expansion. 342 378

The Earth Immortal Realm is divided into the Four Great Continents and Two Regions. It is vast enough that the Heavenly Court's authority does not reach every territory. 342

• Eastern Victory Divine Continent — The largest and spiritually richest continent; the Heavenly Court's core territory. Its spiritual qi is more than twice that of Western Ox Continent and Northern Kuluzhou. 342 373

Cultivation and Resources

The realm's cultivation traditions blend three sources:

• Methods created by the realm's native cultivators.

Unlike stricter ancient Daoist lineages, its methods have no fixed requirement concerning moral character or disposition. Cultivators instead face dangerous Heavenly Tribulations when advancing. Calamity-evading methods, including the Thirty-Six Heavenly Transformations and Seventy-Two Earthly Fiend Transformations, are consequently widespread and highly prized. 349

The Earth Immortal Realm is resource-rich, and low-grade magic items are so plentiful that they have effectively flooded the market. Heavenly Court

The Heavenly Court is the realm's foremost immortal lineage. It occupies the Nine Heavens, where it can absorb the essences of the sun and moon and maximize its access to immortal spiritual energy. 342

Connection to Other Worlds

The Reception Dao Seal can guide ascenders from the Daoist Magic World to the Earth Immortal Realm, but it cannot serve as a return landmark. Cultivators seeking the lower realm from the Earth Immortal Realm must search the chaotic void world by world. 342

The chaotic void has virtually no spiritual energy. Travelers must rely on their own spiritual items for replenishment; exhaustion can leave them stranded or cause them to fall into the Void. Xiao Qingyun's expedition took several hundred years and repeated resupply stops to locate the Daoist Magic World. 342

This difficulty protects the Daoist Magic World from immediate retaliation or invasion, even if its Ascension Academy suffers setbacks. 342
