Hamster?

Gellert couldn't understand why he was seen as a hamster in his sister's eyes.

If someone else had said that, the Grindelwald gas stove would probably have caught fire by now.

But there was nothing I could do; it was my older sister who said those words.

Even after learning that his sister had lost her magic, Gellert's target was Harry, not his sister.

After all, the bloodline suppression is there; even if his sister is still sixteen, she is still his sister.

"Veratia," Harry said, trying to persuade her, "We shouldn't do this..."

"Ha, Scarhead Veela!" Gellert glared at him from the ground. "Do you think I need your feigned pleas?"

"Undead like that, Veratia," Harry added.

He felt it necessary to give Gellert a little more pressure, such as telling her about her love story with the Headmaster.

But Harry felt a little guilty about dragging the innocent Headmaster into this.

To be fair, Dumbledore treated him fairly well...

"I think he's more like Niffler," Harry added. "See? He loves money and ransacked your vault—what other creature besides Niffler has such a peculiar hobby?"

When Gellert heard this adjective, his face turned pale.

Niffler?!

As everyone knows, his most hated creature is the Niffler.

Because it was at Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, France, that his Blood Pact oath with Al was stolen by Scamander's Niffler!

He raised his head fiercely; if looks could kill, Harry would have been riddled with holes long ago.

Harry raised his hand and waved to him.

Anyway, with your sister keeping you in check, why should I be afraid of you?

"You're right, Harry." Veratia raised her head. "The Grindelwald family has produced such a Niffler; he's brought shame upon our entire family!"

Having said that, she looked down at her brother lying on the ground again and sneered, "Gellert, you should know... I can tolerate you taking money from my vault, as long as you can make something of yourself. So what if you empty my vault?"

"But what I cannot accept is your failure; it's even harder for me to accept than your theft!"

"Otherwise what? Sister?" Gellert's heterochromatic eyes darted around. "And where were you? I remember you once told me you would stand by my side no matter what... So, where were you when I faced attacks from the whole world?"

Veratia paused.

She raised her wand, pulled a chair over from the side, and sat down very ladylike.

"Tell me why you failed."

Having learned her lesson, Veratia felt she shouldn't rush to trust the Niffler in front of her. She should first understand the whole story before deciding whether she should feel guilty.

"Why did you fail?" Gellert gave a mocking smile. "Yes, why did you fail... You know, sister, what does it feel like to have lofty ideals, to want to give everything for wizards, only to be betrayed by these comrades who are willing to become sewer rats?"

Veratia raised her eyebrows.

"Isn't this your vision too, sister?" Gellert said gently again. "I remember when you came home for Christmas, you told me more than once that it would be great if wizards could stop hiding themselves and walk openly in the sunlight."

Veratia remembered that it was the first time she had mastered magic after fifteen years of being Squib.

She loved everything about magic, but during her vacation she was told that due to certain laws, she was not allowed to use magic at home during her vacation.

This huge sense of disparity left her feeling lost and overwhelmed.

I possess magic and want to become a wizard so that I can be free from constraints.

Now that I have magic and have become a wizard, you're telling me—I'm not allowed to use magic?

"You hate the Wizarding Secrecy Law, you hate everything that imprisons us..."

At this point, Gellert slowly stood up, straightened his back, and waved his hands menacingly, just as he had when he was giving speeches to the Saints.

"Those laws make us feel like rats living in the sewers!"

"The law requires us to hide our true selves!"

"That law should keep those under its jurisdiction cowering in fear, lest we expose our identities!"

"I ask you, sister—I ask you all—who is this law supposed to protect? Us? Or them? I'm just refusing to submit to it anymore—what have I done wrong?"

"It's not you who's wrong, Gale," Veratia agreed with Gellert's assertion, "It's the world."

"Yes." Gellert suddenly dropped his ferocious expression. "But those ordinary, mediocre people are content with their lot, even willing to kill warriors like me who fight for them, just so they can continue living in the sewers..."

"But that's only part of it, isn't it?" Veratia said, her hands folded in her lap. "And what's your proposal? Ordinary people always have one kind of hypocrisy or another. If it were just because you wanted to break the Wizarding Secrecy Law, they wouldn't be so vehemently opposed—if I'm not mistaken, your proposal... is that wizards become the rulers, and Muggle become their servants and slaves? Right?"

Gellert suddenly froze.

As the saying goes, no one knows a younger brother better than his older sister. Now he understands why his older sister always overwhelmingly suppresses him—it's not just a matter of bloodline.

"I know you too well, Gale," Veratia said softly.

"Really? I never expected you to be so conservative, my sister," Gellert scoffed.

"You should know that Muggle can also be born among Muggles. If you want to enslave all Muggle, you'll inevitably push these Muggle-born wizard to the opposite side," Veratia said lightly. "And how many Muggle are there? A billion? Two billion?"

"It should be five billion now, Veratia," Harry said from the side, having just learned this from Hermione.

"Yes, five billion, what a huge number," Veratia said. "Even if one wizard is born out of ten thousand Muggle, five billion... that's still five hundred thousand wizards. Are you going to push all those wizards to the opposite side?"

"That doesn't matter, sister." Gellert said, her eyes half-closed. "What we need to keep around us are the elite, the elite among wizards... As for the mediocre, I don't need their ordinary brains to understand the greatness of my ideals."

Veratia sighed softly; she finally understood why Gellert had failed.

At that time, it was indeed an excellent opportunity to overturn the Secrecy Statute.

But Gellert's extreme ideas meant he would not be accepted by the vast majority of wizards.

"You know, Gale," Veratia looked at Gellert with pity, "You should have succeeded, but you failed because of your arrogance..."

"Perhaps, sister," Gellert smiled, her eyes narrowing, "But without your help, my failure would have been inevitable."

Veratia sighed again.

Even though she hated Gale for emptying her bank account and hated his failure, the fact remained that she had left him.

"If I were by his side, would everything be different?" she thought sadly.

"I'm sorry, Gale," she said. "Please forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye."

"That's all in the past, sister." Gellert tried to suppress a smug smile. "Welcome home."

Veratia then looked up and examined the furnishings in the room.

"It seems you've been treated quite well as a defeated party," Veratia said softly. "But I know your nature, Gale. You're someone who can't stand being alone... You haven't left here all these years. Is it because of some kind of Charms? I remember a Charms called Unbreakable Vow..."

"No, sister," Gellert shook her head and laughed. "There's no Charms binding me. I've simply chosen to be imprisoned in Nurmengard."

Harry suddenly put on a pained mask and turned his head away, trying not to look at Gellert.

Connecting him with the white-bearded Headmaster, Harry felt a little... a little...

It's so spicy it hurts my eyes.

"So, what about your juniors?" Veratia asked again. "Aren't you going to introduce them to me? After all, I'm your older sister."

"I'm sorry, sister, I don't have any descendants," Gellert said, bowing her head.

Veratia sighed, "Because you're too engrossed in your grand ideas, you've neglected the people around you?"

Gellert said nothing, but kept his head down, seemingly looking at the pattern of the carpet on the floor.

"Since there's no Charms binding you, then let's leave here together." Veratia stood up and said with a slight smile, "After all, I'm your sister, and family should live together."

"No, sister, I can't leave," Gellert whispered.

"Why?" Veratia asked, her eyelids lowered.

"Because I made a promise," Gellert said, looking up. "It was a promise I made because I was defeated, because I lost in the Wizard's Duel."

"Just because Dumbledore defeated you?" Veratia asked coldly. "You don't need to tell me that; I'll settle the score with that Dumbledore..."

Harry suddenly looked up; he felt the big one was coming.

As someone who once rubbed the face of Sun Conure, Harry felt he should mourn for him for a moment.

"Please don't, sister, this is my own choice." Gellert sniffed and said helplessly, "Losing to him is my own choice... it's my own choice."

"Even at this point, you're still speaking up for Dumbledore?" Veratia's gaze suddenly turned dangerous. "Could it be that he's your friend? Is that why you're defending him like this?"

A silence fell over the room.

"Oh, my dear sister," Gellert suddenly smiled mysteriously, "Guess what?"

"Guess what?" Veratia was stunned.

Harry didn't say anything, he just sat there drinking his tea.

Veratia turned her head and looked at Harry, who was drinking his tea in silence, and felt that something was off about the atmosphere.

"You two used to be good friends?" Veratia guessed. "Let me guess, for you to defend him like this, could it be... that he was the first person to endorse your so-called grand ideals?"

"We're getting closer, sister," Gellert said mysteriously, "But it's not enough..."

"Could it be...?"

She turned her head and looked at Harry again, her eyes searching.

Harry frowned, looking quite distressed, and drank cup after cup of tea.

Veratia suddenly remembered the Britain item she had seen in the mall a couple of days ago.

Oh, Mr. Granger said this is the latest trend... Britain fashion.

She will never forget the psychological impact she had when she saw two men holding hands with sweet eyes.

As an old-school imperialist reactionary of old Vienna, she was actually quite conservative.

etc...

Gale, could it be... with Dumbledore...?

"You wouldn't..." Veratia trembled as she reached out and pointed at Gellert, "You and Dumbledore, you two..."

Gellert said nothing, but just winked mysteriously at her sister.

"Was zur Hlle??!! (What the hell is this?)"

Veratia felt as if something had violently struck her brain, and she instinctively uttered a swear word in her hometown dialect.

She asked, trembling, "You and Dumbledore, you... Verdammt n shit! Is this why you have no descendants?!"

"As you can see, my dear sister," Gellert smiled enigmatically, "Sometimes, geniuses are unconsciously drawn together..."

Veratia pulled out her magic wand.

The tip of her cane began to flicker with an erratic green light.

"Veratia!" Harry rushed over and snatched Veratia's wand.

"I've been more than open-minded, Harry." Veratia turned her head sadly. "I've... I just... I'm a little confused... Good heavens, I thought this was just a simple Wizard's Duel, a falling out between friends, but I never imagined it would turn out to be... Was soll der scheie!"

"Uh, what does the last sentence mean?" Harry asked cautiously, as he didn't understand German.

"What the hell is this?!" Veratia cursed without thinking.

Harry could tell that Veratia was really angry, extremely angry, and had even lost all sense of self-control.

As a woman who considers herself a lady, Veratia has always been very mindful of her demeanor.

However, all of this fell apart after hearing the news that her younger brother had come out as gay.

Of course, coming out wasn't the most unacceptable thing for Veratia; the most unacceptable thing was that the two of them ended up having a bad relationship.

A former lover ascends the Wizard's Duel arena and imprisons his beloved in a high tower...

"So, you're telling me, you and a man, the two of you..." Veratia looked at her younger brother with a troubled expression, "... and to make matters worse, you even broke up and had a falling out?"

"Life is unpredictable, sister," Gellert said nonchalantly. "I think you should take it easy..."

"What's there to be happy about?!"

Veratia angrily interrupted Gellert.

At the same time, her hair began to move on its own without any wind, and her wizard robes fluttered in the wind.

Violet flames ignited around her.

"Look at my precious little brother, he's been fooled by some random guy! Ha... Dumbledore, do you think Gale will mourn for you?!"
