compensation?

What an ancient word!

Gellert, who was hanging from the ceiling, suddenly fell silent.

He knew that as long as his sister was willing to mention the word "compensation," it would prove that he was not beyond saving.

Gellert pricked up his ears, intending to hear his sister and Dumbledore's claims for compensation.

"Please, go ahead and say it, senior." Dumbledore naturally had no objection.

Veratia said softly, "My position is very simple: I hope I can complete my studies at Hogwarts."

Dumbledore moment.

"I don't understand what you mean, senior," Dumbledore said softly. "Logically speaking, a wizard like you doesn't need to complete your studies at Hogwarts at all."

"Professor, Veratia is a perfectionist," Harry said. "For her, getting an 'O' and bringing her academic career to a perfect close is more important than anything else."

Got it, it's just obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The full name is the Nastily Exhausting Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test, which is a subject-specific exam that seventh-year students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry must take. It serves as an academic qualification for applying for jobs after graduation—essentially another form of diploma.

For example, Auror applying to the Ministry of Magic needs to achieve "excellent" or "good" grades in at least five exams.

Veratia has some degree of obsessive-compulsive disorder; if she goes to school but doesn't get her graduation certificate, she feels lost and disoriented.

This has nothing to do with whether she needs the diploma or not... But then again, she really needs the diploma, not to find a job, but for peace of mind.

Hearing Harry's words, Veratia gave him an approving look.

"But for a wizard of your caliber, I think it makes no difference whether you achieve this or not."

Professor Dumbledore still intended to offer a little advice to this female student.

"But I think it's important." Veratia didn't say much, only expressing her insistence on her opinion.

Since that's the case, Dumbledore had no intention of continuing to play the villain, and simply said, "Since you insist, on behalf of all the teachers and students of Hogwarts, I welcome you."

Welcome, faculty and students!

Dumbledore said that, but he didn't really think so.

He personally doesn't mind his senior retaking the course... but the question is, can the entire school really remain indifferent to the fact that his senior has that surname?

"I have one more request. I have a good friend named Pabbie Sweeting," Veratia continued. "She's a Hufflepuff student and also the aunt of both Mr. Scamander... Harry reached an agreement with Gringotts, transferring the Lestrange family and Hogwarts ' Gringotts school board member seats to him. Harry also gifted his school board member seat to Pabbie. We hope you can support Pabbie in becoming school board member."

Gellert, who was hanging from the ceiling, turned pale.

"Scamander, it's Scamander again!" he muttered to himself.

"I will support Miss Sweeting to become school board member." Dumbledore nodded. "Newt and I are good friends, and since Miss Sweeting is his aunt, I have no reason to object."

At the same time, he added in his mind—she's Hufflepuff, you know.

As is well known, Hufflepuff has almost never had Dark Wizard.

Veratia noticed Gellert's mutterings and asked, "Does Gale and Mr. Scamander have some kind of feud?"

"Decades ago—when we were both young— Newt helped me capture Gellert," Professor Dumbledore said without any attempt to conceal anything. "In addition, Newt has helped me thwart Grindelwald's evil plans on several occasions."

So that's how it is...

Veratia understood why the the Scamander family because of her surname.

So there's such a story behind it...

"Ha, why don't you say that Scamander is your favorite student?" Gellert shouted.

"Newt is indeed my favorite student," Professor Dumbledore said with a smile. "But... is Miss Sweeting also your classmate?"

"Yes, they're in the same year as us, all Hogwarts students," Veratia said. "I'm from Slytherin House, Pabbie is Hufflepuff, and Harry is Gryffindor ... In our time, the four houses of Hogwarts were very united."

"I know that, because Phineas is our common enemy."

After saying that, Dumbledore couldn't help but reveal a mysterious smile.

After all, he was someone who had lived through that era and knew how "despicable" Headmaster Black was back then.

He further commented. "In some ways, Phineas is arguably Hogwarts' most successful Headmaster. After all, even the Four Founders couldn't bring such a high level of cohesion to the four houses."

"Furthermore," Veratia said again, "I have one last request."

"Go ahead and say it," said Dumbledore.

"I hope Gale can get out of Nurmengard," Veratia said, her hands clasped together with a dignified air. "Not that I want to give him his freedom, but that he needs to atone for his theft of the vault."

"Atonement?" Dumbledore asked, not immediately opposing Veratia.

If Veratia were to say she wanted Gellert to be freed, Dumbledore would absolutely not allow it.

But if it's about atonement... he's actually quite interested in that too.

"Yes," Veratia glanced at Gellert, who was leisurely swinging on the ceiling, "When we were at Mr. LeMay's house, I heard Mr. Scamander say that he accepted your invitation to teach at Hogwarts ... So why not have Gellert be Mr. Scamander's assistant?"

"Gellert stole a total of 2,763,215 Galleon from me, as well as a number of antiques and curiosities. I hope he can spend the rest of his life working to pay off his debts," Veratia said earnestly. "But as his sister, I will not take his side. Since he has a grudge against Mr. Scamander, making him work for Mr. Scamander might be a better way to punish him."

"No! Sister!" Gellert cried out, "I'd rather die than be at Scamander's hands..."

Veratia saw a glint in Dumbledore's crescent-shaped glasses and continued, "If you're worried, I can have him make an Unbreakable Vow with you, or with Mr. Scamander, swearing not to harm any innocent person."

"I don't believe the Austrian Ministry of Magic will allow him to leave Nurmengard, senior," Dumbledore said softly. "The disappearance of prisoner of his caliber from Nurmengard would have incalculable consequences."

"Polyjuice Potion will suffice. I don't believe he doesn't have loyal followers around him," Veratia said with a light laugh.

"But Theseus..." Dumbledore somewhat complicated. "You know, Theseus's fiancée, Leta Lestrange, died at Gellert's hands... Also, Newt and Leta were good friends when they were in school."

"Really?" Veratia looked up at Gellert.

"I don't think I did anything wrong, Al." Gellert scoffed. "That woman named Lestrange, right? She attacked me from within my fire shield, and even Vera was struck by her Charms —I tried to recruit her, to give her a way out, but she refused!"

As he spoke, Gellert was still furious; that woman named Lestrange was simply an abstract concept.

"He wasn't lying," Dumbledore nodded.

"I believe Mr. Scamander would be the best person to keep an eye on and restrain Gale," Veratia said.

"If you insist." Dumbledore eyebrow. Perhaps that wouldn't be bad, bringing more energy to Hogwarts?

Anyway, with Grindelwald around, I'm not worried about Gellert causing any trouble.

but...

Dumbledore then looked at Harry. Since Harry was the senior from a hundred years ago, many plans could be changed.

He suddenly realized that he didn't need to worry about Voldemort as much anymore—no matter how powerful Tom, could he really be a match for the upperclassmen?

What does it mean to have an elder in the family as a treasure? (Leaning back)

"In that case, it's settled then." Veratia said with a slight smile, "As for Gale... humph, I hope he can pay off my debts in his lifetime."

"Sister! I have money!" Gellert suddenly struggled. "Don't put me with those damned Scamander!"

Veratia remained unmoved and said, "I only hope that you can repay my debt through labor—that will be your punishment."

Gellert gave up struggling; his limbs hung limply at his sides, as if he had accepted his fate.

"Also, there's another matter I have with Nurmengard." Veratia looked at the resigned Gellert with satisfaction. "My friend Harry and I, Cassandra Malfoy, are trapped somewhere, and I need her message— Gale, I know you have a gift for Prophecy."

"Ha, I refuse to give you any information, sister. Now it's your turn to ask me for a favor..."

Before Gellert could finish speaking, Veratia cast a Charms that struck Gellert.

He throbbed as if he'd been electrocuted for a while, then exhaled a black smoke ring.

After being electrocuted, his eyes became clear.

But he was still very reluctant to offer Harry any help.

Gellert had heard of Cassandra Malfoy before; his sister had mentioned her more than once. She seemed to like Harry, but her temperament was rather... eccentric, and her way of expressing affection was hard for people to accept.

Gellert had thought to himself more than once that if Cassandra Malfoy weren't that kind of person, she really wouldn't have had a chance at all.

but...

Why would the older sister have the idea of saving her love rival?

Could it be that my aunt's so-called royal creed has corrupted my brain?

If it were him, he wouldn't save his rival; instead, he'd kick him while he's down, stomp on his grave, and then promptly declare that he wouldn't mourn for him.

Wait a minute...

Cassandra Malfoy is her sister's rival in love, so after rescuing her, does her sister gain another opponent? An enemy?

Ha! Well then... if I add fuel to the fire, won't my sister be powerless to do anything but watch as this Miss Malfoy steals the Scarhead Veela?

Good!

In that case, Miss Malfoy must be saved!

In an instant, Gellert made up his mind to rescue Miss Malfoy and free his sister from that Scarhead Veela!

"Then put me down, sister." Gellert suddenly changed her tune. "I think... we can have a good talk about Miss Cassandra Miss Malfoy."

"What tricks are you playing?" Veratia narrowed her eyes. She instinctively felt that Gale was up to no good, but she had no proof.

"How could that be?" Gellert said earnestly, "Sister, I swear on my honor, I truly want to help you and rescue Miss Malfoy!"

Since Gellert has said so, everyone chooses to believe him.

What else can we do? She's the only one who can Prophecy ... Veratia only knows a little about Prophecy, not much, and it's sometimes accurate and sometimes not...

Veratia waved her wand, put Gellert down, and Reparo his burnt clothes to their original state.

"I hope you won't try anything funny, Gale," Veratia said softly.

"How could that be, my dear sister?" Gellert said with a sly laugh. "Don't worry, I promise I'll do everything in my power to help you find Miss Malfoy."

As he spoke, he winked at Harry.

"Honestly, I really admire you, Scarhead Veela..."

"You should know some manners, Gale," Veratia said with a smile, looking extremely kind. "You're not an eight-year-old anymore."

"Okay, Potter," Gellert changed his tune, adding insult to Harry, "Enjoying my sister's attention while still keeping that Malfoy woman in your heart, hasn't anyone ever told you you're really a womanizer?"

"Not as good as you," Harry retorted. "At least the Potter Family won't die out."

These words silenced the other three people in the room.

That statement was so damaging. The four people present came from three different families. It was foreseeable that the Potter Family would not die out because he was heterosexual; Gellert had no children, which meant that the Grindelwald family was basically over.

As for the Dumbledore... apparently Credence and Nagini had no children, so their lineage also died out.

Veratia's eyes suddenly sharpened as she glanced at Dumbledore and then at Gellert.

As a relative of the the Habsburgs, she was very sensitive to the word "extinction".

Gellert felt a chill run down the back of his head, and he knew he had to do something.

"I understand," he suddenly said. "I seem to see Miss Malfoy's future!"
