Did the German Ministry of Magic and Austrian Ministry of Magic merge?

This was such earth-shattering news that Mr. Crouch was so shocked that he dropped his wand.

In fact, it wasn't just Mr. Crouch who was shocked; even Harry instinctively squeezed Pabbie, making her groan softly.

"You pinched me too hard—" Pabbie aggrieved.

"Sorry, I'm just too shocked," Harry said dryly, but showed no intention of letting go.

Since it's a mistake, let's just leave it at that.

"I know you're shocked, but don't be," Pabbie said softly. "I think given Veratia's personality, there might be some big news to come, so it's too early for you to be shocked now."

"That's true." Harry nodded, agreeing with Pabbie's assessment. "But it looks like Hagrid's date with Madame Maxime is going to be canceled—"

"Why?" Pabbie asked curiously.

"After something this big, Madame Maxime, as the Headmaster of Beauxbatons, certainly won't act like nothing happened—you see," Harry said, pointing at Madame Maxime. "As everyone knows, Madame Maxime is France, so what do you think will happen next?"

"What happened?" Pabbie asked blankly.

"Idiot!" Harry lightly tapped Pabbie's drum. "Don't you even think about it? When Germany and Austria merged, besides Poland, who was the most unhappy?"

Pabbie suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

"France?"

"By the way," Harry said with a look of smug satisfaction, "As a France, how could Madame Maxime possibly remain indifferent to something this serious has happened, given it's definitely her PTSD?"

No sooner had they finished speaking than Madame Maxime had already hurriedly left.

Hagrid was left standing there alone, at a loss.

"This is big news," Harry said gleefully. "I think the school will be in turmoil tonight. In fact, even the news of the Triwizard Tournament isn't as big as the German-Austrian Merger, don't you think?"

"Isn't that obvious—" Pabbie said softly, "The Triwizard Tournament is just a competition between students, while the German-Austrian Merger is a major international event."

Harry chuckled to himself, thinking that the German-Austrian Merger might only be the beginning, not the end.

To Harry's surprise, Hagrid was not disappointed by Madame Maxime's departure. After Mr. Crouch left in a hurry, he stood beside Charlie, gazing intently at the Fire Dragon not far away, his eyes clearly showing the word "want".

As everyone knows, Hagrid has always dreamed of owning a Fire Dragon.

After looking at it for a while, Hagrid finally realized he hadn't forgotten Harry.

"Four in total—" Hagrid said. "So, each warrior has to deal with one, right? What do they have to do—fight the Fire Dragon one by one?"

"I think we'll probably just pass by the Fire Dragon," Charlie said. "If things get bad, we'll rush to its aid and cast Stinging Hex. They only want the brooding female Fire Dragon. I don't understand why—out of four people choosing three, the lucky ones who get the Welsh Green dragon or the Swedish Short-Snout Dragon are the most fortunate. But I can tell you, the one who gets the Hungarian Horntail dragon won't fare well—its back is just as dangerous as its front, you see."

Charlie pointed to the tail of the Hungarian Horntail dragon, where rows of long, sharp barbs emerged every few inches, gleaming with a chilling light.

"How's Harry?" Charlie asked again. "I already told Ron in my previous letter, but I think it's better to let him see it for himself. Fire Dragon are no joke."

"If I were you, I would be worried about the Fire Dragon." Hagrid stared intently at the Hungarian Horntail dragon in front of him, repeatedly praising, "She's so beautiful."

It's hard not to wonder if he felt the same way when facing Madame Maxime.

Charlie glanced at Hagrid silently, sighed, and said with a heavy heart, "I really hope he comes out safe and sound after facing this danger. I don't dare tell Mom what Harry is going to do in the First Task. She's already worried sick about him."

"Don't worry, Charlie." Hagrid chuckled and patted Charlie on the shoulder. "Trust Harry. There must be a reason why Dumbledore and the Goblet of Fire chose him to be Hogwarts Champion. I heard—"

At this point, Hagrid lowered his head, glanced around mysteriously, and whispered to Charlie, "I heard that the Dark Lord was defeated by Harry."

"That's no secret, Hagrid," Charlie said, rolling his eyes.

"No, I'm not talking about the one more than ten years ago," Hagrid said in a low voice. "You know, in our first year, the Dark Lord possessed Professor Quirrell, but Harry thwarted his plot—and I also heard in our second year that Harry seemed to have clashed with the Dark Lord— "

"Is that so?" Charlie said in surprise. "But Ron has never told me about it—"

"Perhaps it's for secrecy," Hagrid shrugged. "Ron was also involved in the first raid on Quirrell, and I heard he made a great contribution, earning Gryffindor fifty points for it."

"I heard about this from my mother," Charlie said with a smile. "Mom was overjoyed. She mentioned it to me several times in her letters, and emphasized that Ron was different from those two troublemakers."

Although no names were mentioned, Harry, who was listening in, Hagrid, and even Pabbie, who didn't know much about the Weasley family, all instantly identified the Twins.

Who else but those two are troublemakers?

"Those two are a real headache," Hagrid chuckled. "Besides Peeves, they're the two professors who give the professors the most trouble."

"It's the same in our family," Charlie said, shaking his head helplessly.

Now that Madame Maxime had left and the dragon had been seen, Harry felt there was no need to stay any longer.

"Let's go back," he whispered to Pabbie. "By the way, where's Newt?"

"Newt should be sleeping. He's been involved in escorting these Fire Dragon here, and it's exhausted him," Pabbie said softly. "But I think he'll be back to normal by tomorrow. You know his personality; he's the kind of person who loves Magical Creatures to an extreme degree. He'd even want to cuddle Fire Dragon and sleep with it."

"I really suspect he put a curse on Tina, otherwise why would Tina like him—" Harry said, shrugging.

He was different from others—as a senior from the class of 1887, Dumbledore was perfectly understandable.

There's nothing I can do; he's a senior at Hogwarts, and that damned seniority...

"You—"

Pabbie helplessly reached out and punched him.

When the two returned to Hogwarts, the professors were discussing something in the Great Hall, looking as if facing a formidable enemy.

Fortunately, Harry's Disillusionment Charm was quite powerful, and the two of them slowly made their way back to their respective Common Room.

Before parting, Pabbie wanted to invite Harry to the Kitchen for a bite to eat, but Harry declined, as he had to get up early for class the next morning.

He didn't have to attend classes, but he couldn't skip Potions Class, otherwise Snape would have driven him crazy.

As Dumbledore passed by the entrance to the Great Hall, he gave Harry a meaningful look.

Harry knew, of course, that Dumbledore's deeper meaning wasn't because he had gone to see the Fire Dragon, but because he had gone to see the Fire Dragon with Pabbie.

That's the situation, but the specifics depend on the circumstances.

The next day, after his Potions Class, Harry was stopped by someone.

It was Neville. He told him that Professor Moody wanted to see him about something.

Harry wondered to himself why Professor Moody was looking for him, but he still went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office.

This wasn't his first time in this office; the last time he came, the professor was Lupin.

Lupin was probably Harry's favorite professor, followed by Rosier.

Logically speaking, Professor Quirrell should have liked him quite a bit, but unfortunately, Professor Quirrell didn't like him.

This made him very sad.

Each professor has their own preferences and decorating style. On Moody's desk, there is something that looks like a large, cracked glass spinning top.

Harry recognized it immediately; it was a Two-Way Mirror, because he had one himself, though it was much smaller Moody's — Ron had given it to him a while ago.

On the corner of a small table sat a strange object that looked somewhat like a golden television antenna, but was twisted so badly that it kept emitting a soft whistling sound.

On the wall opposite Harry hung something that looked like a mirror, but it didn't reflect the scene in the room. Instead, it showed many dark figures moving around, but they were all blurry and indistinct.

"You like my Dark Magic Detector, don't you?" Moody asked, having been scrutinizing Harry closely. "What's that?" Harry asked, pointing to the twisted golden antenna.

"Sneakoscope. It vibrates when it detects conspiracy and lies—of course, it's useless here."

There are too many distractions—students everywhere are making up lies about not doing their homework.

"It's been buzzing nonstop ever since I moved in. I had to break my Two-Way Mirror because it kept honking and screaming. It's so sensitive; it can detect everything within a mile. Of course, it can detect more than just children's games," he said in a hoarse voice.

Harry always felt that Professor Moody was lying to him, but he didn't have any proof.

"So you should know what the First Task is, right?" Professor Moody moved his leg.

He said in a gruff voice, "You should know, Fire Dragon, right?"

Moody was very pleased to see Harry nod.

"Okay, but I must remind you, never use that Killing Curse on the Fire Dragon. I know you're very good at it."

"But whatever you do, don't do anything foolish." Moody said again, "Young wizards your age are all ignorant and reckless. I'm warning you, never use this Charms in front of others, understand?"

Harry thought to himself, "I'm not stupid enough to use the Unforgivable Curse in public, am I?"

"I understand, Professor," he nodded.

"Good to know," Professor Moody thought for a moment, and Lingci said, "The First Task certainly won't be asking you to defeat a Fire Dragon. That's too far-fetched for you students. But I think there must be some clever tricks, so I'm going to ask you, what are you best at?"

"I'm good at the Unforgivable Curse," he thought.

But he still said, "Quidditch, Professor, I'm good at Quidditch —you know, my Godfather bought me a Firebolt last year."

"Alright, Quidditch." Moody gave him a look of approval, "What you need to do now is fully utilize your strengths, understand?"

"I understand, Professor." Harry scratched his head. He didn't understand why Professor Moody would tell him these things. He was curious, but he didn't ask any further questions.

"Alright, son." Moody reached out and patted Harry on the shoulder. "I'm also going to teach you a Accio. Have you heard of it? If I remember correctly, Filius will teach it to the fourth-year students next Charms."

"I've heard, Professor," Harry said, trying to sound like an ordinary student.

"Okay, I'll teach you how to use this Charms. Come on—watch carefully—"

Half an hour later, Harry left Professor Moody's office.

He scratched his head, unable to understand why Professor Moody would help him, and decided to stop thinking about it.

Perhaps it was for Hogwarts, or for Britain? He knew Professor Moody was an Auror.

When they returned to the common room that evening, Hermione and Ron surrounded them, with Nahd following behind them.

"I heard from Nahd that Professor Moody asked you to go to his office?" Hermione asked curiously.

"Yes." Harry sat in his chair, crossed his legs, and spread his hands. "He told me some things about the Triwizard Tournament. I don't know why he helped me, but I still have to thank him for his kindness."

"He's Auror," Luo said with a grin. "Dad and he's good friends. They've worked together for many years. I've heard that Dumbledore trusts him implicitly. Perhaps this was at Dumbledore's behest?"

"No way?" Nah scratched his head. "Would Dumbledore be that kind of eagle? Sending the eagle ahead of time to tell the brave warriors what the first competition is?"

"I don't think I told you, but last night Pabbie and I went to the camp, the one Charlie's at, the Tiju camp, it's full of—"

At this point, Harry looked around and, seeing no eagles nearby, whispered, "There are several Fire Dragon inside. I saw Maxim's Falcon in Tyre. Do you think she'll hold back from telling the Beauxbatons champions? I think Karkaroff definitely has some way of knowing about this—."

"Now that you mention it—" Hermione nodded knowingly, "It seems that Tye really was Dumbledore's doing?"
