A Well-Coordinated Couple
Upon hearing Harry's words, Professor Trelawney suddenly felt a lump in her throat.
How dare you use my words against me? Potter?
She never imagined that a classmate would say something "Grim" to her in class, let alone that someone would predict death in her class.
Professor Trelawney opened her eyes and took a closer look at the Savior before her.
Yes, the lightning bolt-shaped scar on his head is quite unique.
"So..." Professor Trelawney asked mysteriously, "Whose death did you actually witness?"
"A snake," Harry said confidently. "I saw a snake made of smoke. What does it mean?"
"It represents..."
Professor Trelawney hesitated, then suddenly, as if struck by inspiration, exclaimed, "Yes, representing the Heir of Slytherin —this June, you will have a battle—but not your last..."
Um?
This professor actually managed to pull it off?
Harry scratched his face. Could it be that this professor really does have some skill in Prophecy?
But didn't Cassandra say she was just a fraud?
Then he remembered that it was because Professor Trelawney's Prophecy was leaked by Professor Snape that Voldemort decided to visit Godric's Hollow...
"How could Voldemort be so evil!" Harry thought to himself.
"So who do you think will die?" Harry asked again.
"It's most likely not you, my dear." Professor Trelawney lowered her head, reached out and patted Harry's shoulder. "Don't worry, in the future I see, you have a long life ahead of you..."
Yes, thank you, Professor.
The students in the classroom were shocked; they clearly hadn't expected Professor Trelawney to have failed to predict Harry's death.
Is this still Professor Trelawney? Could someone have swapped her cells?
Perhaps someone drank the Polyjuice Potion and turned into Professor Trelawney?
The more I think about it, the more likely it seems. Hermione isn't in this classroom. Could it be that she did it?
However, their suspicions would ultimately remain just that—speculation. After Professor Trelawney announced the end of class, everyone instantly lost their desire to speculate and breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, the scent of incense in the room was so strong that they didn't even want to lift their eyelids to listen to the lesson.
Time flies, and it seems like June has arrived in the blink of an eye.
Because Triwizard Tournament was to be held, the exams for each subject were scheduled first.
Harry was granted an exemption from this exam because he was a champion in the Triwizard Tournament.
In other words, he doesn't need to take any exams at all; he can simply sit there and daydream to get a bunch of "O"s—provided he successfully becomes the champion of the Triwizard Tournament.
Professor Snape was particularly unhappy about this. On the day he learned that Harry did not need to take the exam, he kept a long face in class, as if he had encountered something unbearable.
"Look at his expression."
Back in the Common Room, Ron, who had been holding it in all day, exclaimed with delight, as if finally released. "I mean Professor Snape —didn't you see? Didn't you all see? The look on his face was like he'd eaten twenty Flobberworm, hahahahaha..."
Ron is extremely cautious now. He would never speak ill of Snape in public. After all, he and Snape have a kind of spiritual connection. Whenever he speaks ill of the other, Snape will appear behind him.
Obviously, the Head of Slytherin is unlikely to be present in the Gryffindor Common Room.
"I really want to ask him what Flobberworm tastes like," Neville chuckled beside him. "But what's wrong with him? He seems really angry. Who made him angry? Was it Harry?"
"How could it be me?" Harry pointed to himself, chuckling. "I didn't make a single mistake in class; I completed all the assignments he gave me perfectly!"
"Oh, maybe it's because you're too perfect that he can't find fault with you, so he's even angrier," Seamus said from the side.
Upon hearing Seamus's explanation, everyone burst into laughter.
Thinking about it that way, it makes perfect sense. Perhaps that's the truth— Snape wanted to cause trouble for Harry, but Harry performed so well that Snape couldn't find a suitable angle to nitpick.
"Perhaps you should say," Ron said with a smile, "Professor Snape, if you want to nitpick, go ahead—that way he'll find something to deduct points from, and maybe he won't be so angry."
"I'm not crazy." Harry rolled his eyes. "Be careful, Professor Snape might be right behind you right now, taking his anger out on you."
"Hahaha!" Ron laughed, clutching his stomach. "How could this be! Snape is the head of Slytherin, how could he be in Gryffindor office? Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
"Anything is possible, Mr. Weasley."
Snape's signature greasy, drawn-out voice rang out from behind Ron, and the students around him instantly felt as if the temperature around them had dropped several degrees.
No, what's going on?
Ron felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave. He slowly turned around and found Professor Snape staring at him with the look of someone looking at a dead man.
"Since you were in the Gryffindor Common Room, not a public place, I won't deduct any points from you," Professor Snape said in a drawn-out voice. "However—your summer assignments will be five times the normal amount."
Ron let out a "woof," he was filled with regret, deep, deep regret.
I was so stupid, really. I only knew that Snape was the head of Slytherin, but I forgot that he was also the Potions Class professor, and theoretically he could have entered the Gryffindor Common Room.
Harry, on the other hand, looked up at Snape and asked, "Professor, what brings you here?"
For a Slytherin headmaster to come to the Gryffindor Common Room, he must have something important to say.
"Your Headmaster is waiting for you in his office. Professor McGonagall, so as your Potions professor, your old professor has to make the trip herself."
Snape's voice was still drawn out, sounding somewhat impatient.
Harry felt something was off. Why would Snape come to the Gryffindor Common Room?
Others might not know, but Harry knew all too well what was going on.
That makes perfect sense, considering that Professor Snape and Gryffindor were always at odds when he was in school. The only time he came to Gryffindor's door, he was harshly rejected by the goddess.
It hurts, it hurts so much!
"Thank you, Professor." Harry stood up and thanked Snape sincerely, only to receive a backstab and a 'ha' in return.
After leaving the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry followed Snape all the way to the Headmaster's Office.
To his surprise, the "Snape" suddenly transformed into a witch, and his clothes also changed.
She had a pale, heart-shaped face with a pair of bright, dark eyes; like any young, rebellious witch, she wore the Weird Sisters ' shirt and patched jeans; to Harry's surprise, her hair was a bright bubblegum pink.
"Hello, Harry," the witch said with a Harry. "You can call me Tonks —I'm Hufflepuff graduate."
Oh, she's Hufflepuff's senior.
"Hello, Tonks," Harry greeted her, then asked hesitantly, "What were you doing just now...?"
"Oh, just to lighten the mood. After all, entering Gryffindor Common Room looking like this is too bland, isn't it?" Tonks seemed quite talkative. "Wouldn't it be fun to transform into Professor Snape and play pranks on a couple of classmates? — Oh, and remember to tell Ron that the assignment doesn't need to be done."
"You'll scare him to death," Harry said, shaking his head.
But he couldn't hold it in after trying for a long time.
"Hahahaha... But it was really funny, did you see that? Ron's face just now, he almost cried... By the way, how do you know Ron?"
"I don't know Ron, but I know he's definitely a Weasley," Tonks said casually. "I know his older brother Charlie, who has the same signature red hair as him."
"Okay." Harry shrugged, only to see Tonks suddenly close his eyes and turn his nose into a pig's nose.
Harry praised her highly, saying she was quite an interesting senior.
The door to the Headmaster's Office suddenly opened, and Professor Snape walked out.
As he passed Tonks and Harry, he glanced at them with his head held high, but said nothing, and flew away like a large bat, flapping his cloak.
"I bet he's your nightmare now," Tonks said, watching Snape's retreating figure. "I could tell from Ron's reaction just now that he's definitely your nightmare."
"Who says otherwise?" Harry shrugged. "Come on, we should go in and hear what the Headmaster has to say."
When they entered the Headmaster's Office, they found many people sitting inside, including Lupin, Sirius, and several people who looked familiar to Harry but whom he didn't recognize.
And of course, there is also Her Miss Grindelwald, the Deputy Minister of Greater German Ministry of Magic.
"These are all members of our first generation Order of the Phoenix," Dumbledore said first. "I believe the plan should be foolproof. With them at Hogwarts, Harry... well, at least you and Miss Grindelwald won't have any worries."
Harry and Veratia exchanged a glance, both seeing the "heh" in each other's eyes.
The Order of the Phoenix?
The first generation Order of the Phoenix?!
Pah!
The first generation Order of the Phoenix were clearly Harry, Veratia, Cassandra, Pabbie, Ominis, and Sebastian. You are at best imposters, second-generation members...
Besides, how dare you claim to be a member of the first generation Order of the Phoenix in front of the very members of the first generation Order of the Phoenix?!
Who gave you the courage? Westlife?
"Of course, Tonks is a new addition to our team," Dumbledore said again. "As a distinguished graduate of Hufflepuff, she is rightfully entitled to join the Order of the Phoenix."
"I have no objection," Harry said with a shrug.
This Order of the Phoenix is not the same as that Order of the Phoenix; Harry felt it had nothing to do with him.
"Me neither," Veratia said, mimicking Harry.
"But I must say it again, Harry," Dumbledore's eyes gleamed, "This plan is extremely risky, and I still don't recommend that you put yourself in it."
"It was indeed dangerous," Harry nodded, "But it was just a necessary sacrifice—someone always has to sacrifice, why couldn't it be me?"
Dumbledore didn't say anything, but finally just nodded in approval.
"You'll be alright, Harry." Sirius reached out and patted Harry on the shoulder. "You're James and Lily's son, born to defeat Voldemort —you've defeated him countless times, and he can't possibly have the upper hand this time either."
"Furthermore," Dumbledore added, "Regarding the Ministry of Magic —I believe it is necessary to inform the Minister for Magic of Voldemort's impending return. What do you think?"
"I have no objection," Sirius said lazily, but judging from his tone, he clearly had some objections to Fudge.
"Of course," Veratia reached out and scratched Harry's chin, smiling as she said, "It's just another Four-Stage Strategy —in the first stage, even if Fudge gets the news, he'll say nothing happened."
"Well, in the second phase, he'll claim that something might be happening, but they don't need to do anything," Harry continued.
"In the third stage, he will claim that something has indeed happened, but there is nothing they can do about it," Veratia said with a slight smile.
"In the fourth stage, he would say that maybe we should have done something back then, but now it's too late."
After Harry finished speaking, he and Veratia gave each other a high five in the air.
Dumbledore rubbed his temples, and he couldn't help but feel that the couple's teamwork was becoming more and more seamless.
"In any case, this matter must be reported to Fudge," Veratia continued. "After all, he is the Minister of Ministry of Magic. Even if he cannot accept the news of Voldemort's return, he must be informed."
"Why?" Tonks suddenly asked.
"Oh." Veratia smiled slyly. "Just as I said, he's the Minister of Ministry of Magic..."
Tonks felt a little confused. She felt there was something she hadn't thought of, but she couldn't figure out which layer it was.
"Miss Grindelwald is right," Sirius suddenly said. "Fudge is far too concerned about his political life. If news of Voldemort's return to the world were to get out, it would be a devastating blow to his reputation and status. So, no matter what, he must suppress this news..."
