Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader after Darth Malthael killed Shmi and nearly killed him, while Padmé mourned Anakin and kept her pregnancy secret. The Fourth Civilization defeated the Republic at Enarc as Tang Xiao established the Dawn Territory’s rule and formalized its ties with the Confederacy.

• Anakin Skywalker killed Shmi Skywalker in the clash with Darth Malthael, then lost both arms and was nearly burned to death by Crimson Lightning before Darth Sidious took him away.
• Darth Sidious had Anakin fitted with mechanical armor and life-support systems, and Anakin pledged obedience as Sidious named him Darth Vader.
• Padmé learned that Anakin had supposedly died, discovered she was pregnant, and kept the pregnancy secret while Bail Organa challenged Palpatine’s rule and Order 66.
• The Fourth Civilization’s raiders destroyed Republic ships and captured Ze-Heth Planet, while Tang Xiao and Count Dooku discussed offering refuge to surviving Jedi.
• Admiral Kurny and Lynch Hauser traded Vanderheim Planet to the Trade Federation for support against Xuanwu, then led the 17th Army into a battle at Enarc that left the Republic fleet trapped without supplies.
• Malcolm Granger raided Republic transports and helped close the Enarc hyperspace route, after which Ling Liang ordered the Fourth Civilization fleet to begin its offensive.
• Tang Xiao assumed the title Grand Duke of Dawn at a ceremony attended by Count Dooku, and the Dawn Territory and Confederacy of Independent Systems declared cooperation.

Tang Xiao established the Duchy of Dawn as its military strength grew and its forces defeated the Republic at Enarc. As the Republic prepared to attack the Modell Sector, Lila Blythex tried to bring Willix back to Kuat, while A'Sharad Heite was captured and forced into a prison armor unit.

• Tang Xiao expanded Dawn Territory’s holdings and industries, then used Rendili’s shipyards and corporate groups to strengthen the state.
• Dawn Territory reorganized its army and navy, introduced new weapons and warships, and held a military parade before Tang Xiao and Count Dooku.
• Ling Liang and Malcolm Granger destroyed much of the Republic 17th Army at Enarc, and Tang Xiao formally established the Duchy of Dawn.
• Tang Xiao warned Qi Jian that the Republic and Darth Sidious would target the Modell Sector, while Onana Kuat decided to join the coming operation to seize Dawn Star Planet’s technology.
• Lila Blythex tried to persuade Willix Blythex to return to Kuat, but he refused, and she turned to Dunn Vesex for help finding her father.
• A'Sharad Heite was captured on Thonner and sent to Sonell Prison, where officers assigned him and other prisoners to the Black Beast Squad and CMC-300 armor training.
• At a medical station in the Ando system, the chief physician and security commander debated killing Jedi sisters Luna Meng and Luna Huan, and Luna Huan urged them to do it.

Jing Fang and Arden Lyn settled among the Rahr tribe while Mace Windu’s campaign against the Destruction became a devastating trap. Windu fell to the Dark Side, the Second Systems Army surrendered, and Sefrans Tann returned to Tang Xiao seeking a place in his forces.

• Luna-Phantom and Luna-Dream killed the Commander and Chief Physician after they plotted to assault the sisters, then continued using the medical station to request wounded clones.
• Jing Fang refused to kill a Tusken chief, but his commission led him into the Rahr tribe’s settlement, where he was poisoned and overpowered.
• Arden Lyn defeated the Tusken warriors, recognized KkH'Oar'Rrhr as the commission’s target, and chose him as her apprentice while assigning Jing Fang to teach him Galactic Basic.
• Mace Windu pursued the Destruction to Antewei, where Sefrans Tann’s EMP attacks and hidden fleet trapped the Republic forces and shattered their communications.
• After Admiral Sopronos declared the battle hopeless, Mace Windu killed him and gave in to the Dark Side, ordering the fleet to keep fighting.
• Sefrans Tann’s forces destroyed and surrounded Republic ships until the Second Systems Army began surrendering, while Count Dooku and Savage Opress boarded the Endurance to confront Windu.
• Ki-Adi-Mundi rescued Windu from the Endurance, but the Second Systems Army surrendered and Sefrans Tann took possession of its surviving warships.
• Sefrans Tann returned to Tang Xiao and asked to join the Confederacy, and Tang Xiao tested her loyalty before considering how to use her military strength.

The Geth devastated Faida Planet, forcing the Republic to impose total-war measures while Gillard Perine warned that the enemy could strike without relying on known hyperspace routes. As Kuat Drive Yards prepared an operation against the Modell Sector, Tang Xiao’s forces launched a surprise campaign and Dawn’s leaders braced for a broader Republic attack.

• Sefrans Tann took command of the captured Second Systems Army fleet, then used the Neutral Alliance to expand her influence along the Hydian Way as the Geth ravaged Republic worlds with Corpse Puppets.
• Deka and Bovine Doku led the Skull Cup’s defenders against the Geth on Faida, and Republic troops later found Deka dying beside the bodies of the mercenaries who had fought with him.
• The Geth overwhelmed Republic forces on Faida, while Gillard Perine persuaded Wilhuff Tarkin to reinforce the planet and warned that the enemy had a new faster-than-light travel method.
• Gillard Perine and Wullf Yularen imposed martial law and mass conscription on Faida, mobilizing civilians and criminals as the Geth attacked multiple cities and harassed Republic supply convoys.
• Wilhuff Tarkin withheld further aid from Faida and shifted military contracts toward Sienar Fleet Systems, while Kuat Drive Yards built a vast solar installation and Onana Kuat negotiated authorization for an operation against the Modell Sector.
• Cassio Tagge took command of the secret Scavenger Plan as Tang Xiao’s forces launched the Enarc Campaign, crippling much of the Republic Seventeenth Army’s fleet near Kira planet.
