Background / History

The Uchiha were one of Konohagakure's founding clans alongside the Senju. They regarded their service to the village as unmatched, citing the sacrifices made during the Ninja Wars; during the Third Shinobi World War, Uchiha forces reportedly held back Kirigakure almost single-handedly. 127

Despite their status, the clan was politically isolated within Konoha. Tobirama Senju's creation of the Konoha Military Police Force placed the Uchiha in charge of policing while also separating them from broader village power.
