Background / History

In the Mythical era, Serie lived near the Elf Forest during an age in which gods, demons, and magical beasts coexisted. She initially regarded humanity as weak, short-lived beings incapable of learning magic, having only encountered one human two centuries earlier—who was killed by magical beasts. 1

She met the transmigrated Rhode outside the forest and became interested after he demonstrated self-created utility spells. Although she initially tested him with the elves' Light Magic, Rhode replicated and enhanced her attack, knocking her unconscious despite her defensive preparations. His ability to analyze existing spells and create new ones convinced Serie to become his partner. 2 3

As Rhode traveled to find human settlements and teach humanity magic, Serie became both his instructor and collaborator. She taught him elven Light, Plant, Warning, Tracking, and defensive magic, while Rhode's altered versions of these spells gave her new magical ideas.
