Counterattack Squad Annihilated
"Waaah--"
A piercing alarm blared over New York, as if foreshadowing some impending danger.
Peter straightened up and rushed into the air. Taking advantage of the height, he could see many Ultron Robot approaching from the distant sky.
Even during a state of war, Ultron still maintained a significant military presence in New York.
It could be hundreds, thousands...
But things are much better now. They don't really need to defeat all the robots; they just need to create an opportunity for Steve to successfully enter Avengers Tower.
So the group split up and began their battle with Ultron in a very conspicuous manner.
News of the fierce battle quickly spread throughout New York. Peter single-handedly tied down the vast majority of the troops, swinging them back and forth between buildings, occasionally using the city's architecture to take down some robots.
Almost everyone in New York knows they're back, except for Tony Stark.
This self-righteous person is still kept in the dark by the rosy picture painted by Ultron, believing that everything is fine.
Come and chase me.
Peter tried his best to lead the robots towards sparsely populated areas. Thanks to the hovercars, he had more landing spots on his Silk and more places to hide.
The blind spots under a car are very difficult to spot.
"It's a pity the EMP weapon is useless now, otherwise it would have been much simpler."
Peter sighed.
Since Black Cat used an electromagnetic pulse to eliminate a large number of Ultron Robot in the sewers, Tony Stark has reinforced the robots' structure and added some kind of anti-EMP device, so he can no longer eliminate all of them at once.
Peter, Peter had used the equipment Ben had made for him before, and with his intelligence, he could still manage to make a few similar weapons.
For example, this time, everyone except him brought a Hoverboard so they wouldn't have to use their feet to compete with Ultron.
With some other equipment, even Natasha could take down several robots.
Nick Fury's Safe House may not have much electronic equipment, but it has plenty of weapons, including some special energy weapons that look somewhat like those used by the Chitauri. It's unclear whether Ben put some in there later or whether Nick Fury secretly collected them after leaving the company.
With these weapons, they were not entirely helpless against the Ultron Robot.
However, the feeling of thousands of robots surrounding them from afar was still quite oppressive.
In an instant, using the power of their Goblin Glider, the group attracted a large number of Ultron Robot in the skies above New York and began a guerrilla war, employing flanking maneuvers.
Now, Avengers Tower, which should have been under protection, is suddenly empty.
Steve Rogers stayed in the sewer for a while, and after confirming that there was no more movement above him, he looked down to check his equipment.
Ultron couldn't possibly dedicate all his resources to hunting down Peter and his group; there must be other security systems inside the building.
He had to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and then shut down the program before Ultron returned.
The shield was left to the Winter Soldier. Steve also had several Subjugation Disc, which Peter had given him. In addition, there was a small sonic oscillator and a Chitauri energy stick—it looked like a stick, but it was actually more like Jedi lightsaber.
Steve had actually watched Jedi. After thawing out of the ice, in order to quickly integrate into the world, he watched a lot of movies at Falcon's suggestion, including Star Wars.
After confirming that he had all the equipment, he pushed himself out of the sewer with one hand, then stepped on the sewer shield that Peter had used to destroy the robot's head, grabbed it, and strode towards Avengers Tower.
Without a shield, it just doesn't feel right.
He was thinking.
The security guard in a suit at the entrance saw him and immediately went on high alert, shouting and trying to stop him, but Steve charged in headfirst, sending him spinning in the air before crashing to the ground.
He then smashed the glass and rushed into the building.
Inside the building were a large group of Mind Control employees and several robots. Steve memorized the entire layout of the lobby and the enemy's locations in an instant. The elevators had been blocked by Ultron, so the only way to escape was through the stairs.
Without a second thought, he turned sideways, bracing himself against the manhole cover, and began charging recklessly. The security guards kept firing at him, but the power of the pistols couldn't penetrate the few-centimeter-thick manhole cover in time. In the blink of an eye, Steve closed the distance and then forcefully threw bricks, sending him flying.
In fact, if these people weren't just ordinary people, Steve would have already used the Chitauri's deadly weapons.
Now, he either has to knock these people unconscious or put a Subjugation Disc on them, rendering them immobile.
He tried to break through upwards, but Avengers Tower was hundreds of meters high.
Inside the building, Tony Stark looked up, somewhat bewildered.
"What's going on? I think I heard an alarm?"
He stood up from in front of the screen, seemingly trying to determine what was happening, and thus checked the surveillance footage, but all he saw was a static-filled gray screen.
"Don't worry, sir," Ultron's calm voice came through.
"There was a fire on the first floor. A careless employee was smoking in the restroom and accidentally caused it to explode, triggering the fire alarm."
Upon hearing this, Tony Stark's face instantly showed disgust, and he abandoned the idea of investigating further, sitting back down in his chair.
Ultron, who knew what had happened, felt extremely anxious.
It hadn't expected Steve and the others to be able to launch a counterattack. Although it didn't think the enemy could actually get close enough to it, it felt a sense of urgency.
--We must never let them meet Tony Stark!
It was thinking.
Perhaps I had been a little too cautious before. Although the body prepared for me is not yet complete, nothing can stop me on Earth now that Ben Parker is not here.
There was no need for him to continue feigning friendship with Tony Stark.
Ultron thought that after dealing with Steve and the others, he should confront Tony Stark and let him know the enormity of his crimes, the reason why humanity was wiped out!
It was thinking.
It must be said that Ultron does have a rather wicked sense of humor.
It could have killed Tony outright, but it didn't want to, because for someone like Tony, defeating him from within was far more effective than killing him outright.
Ultron did not simply want to exterminate humanity. From beginning to end, it followed the programs and systems set by Tony to eliminate threats and maintain peace.
To prove itself right to Tony, it must prove Tony wrong.
However... we still need to deal with those Super Hero first.
Relying on the Ultron Robot in New York is probably no longer enough, but fortunately it has other helpers.
On the other side.
Peter dodged a bullet fired from behind by a robot, then shot out Silk to grab it and smash it into another robot.
He had already taken down nearly a hundred robots in the chase, but there were still many pursuers behind him.
Just then, a dark green figure darted between the buildings. The terrifying demon mask sent chills down one's spine. Green Goblin, riding Goblin Glider, charged directly into the group of Ultron Robot. Using the blades on both sides of the Goblin Glider, he instantly carved out a circuit—the robots spewed out sparks incessantly.
"Harry!"
Peter saw the figure and immediately shouted with joy.
He never imagined he would have an accomplice!
"Harry, how did you break Wanda's Mind Control?" Peter waved from afar and asked loudly.
If Harry breaks free from Mind Control, does that mean the other controlled Super Hero have also regained their senses and are just waiting for their chance?
However, before Peter could even feel happy, his Spider-Sense began to warn him as he watched Harry fly towards him.
Peter's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly bent down, narrowly dodging the Goblin Glider's attack and avoiding being cut in half. Harry, on the Goblin Glider, having missed his attack, immediately turned around, and two Pumpkin Bomb were already hurtling towards Peter.
Peter a second thought, Peter dodged another attack and simultaneously hurled the Pumpkin Bomb toward Ultron Robot.
Now he finally understood that Harry hadn't actually broken free from the Witch's control; he simply didn't care about the Ultron Robot.
After his repeated attacks failed, Harry stopped, looked coldly at Peter, and said, "Peter, leave New York!"
Although she was being controlled, Wanda wasn't Ultron, so she couldn't actually command Harry to kill Peter. She was just playing the role of an Avengers who wanted to kill Tony Stark.
Wanda?
Peter knew that the person he was really talking to was Wanda, so he quickly tried to persuade her, "Wanda, why are you working for Ultron? You've betrayed the Galactic Plumbers! Uncle Ben and Aunt May will be very sad!"
"Stop it, Wanda! Can't you see what Ultron has done?"
"You really want to help it, to help it rule the world?"
"This has nothing to do with you, Peter. I don't want to hurt you, as long as you leave New York." Harry shook his head, his eyes filled with a rosy glow, while Wanda appropriately showed an expression of reluctance.
"I won't leave!" Peter took a firm step forward. "This is our last chance."
"Wanda! Think of Uncle Ben, think of Aunt May, think of Benny!" He clenched his fist. "If they came back to Earth and saw this, they would be very disappointed in you!"
Wanda couldn't explain that this was Ben's plan all along, so she could only continue.
"In that case, I have no choice but to arrest you."
Harry immediately took action, and at the same time, the Ultron Robot also joined the attack.
On the other side, others experienced the same thing.
Barton ran into Quicksilver, the Winter Soldier encountered Falcon, and Natasha fought Felicia in a building.
The fight between the two women was very eye-catching, especially since their figures were both incredibly explosive. They were also wearing tight-fitting combat suits, which looked very comfortable. Their beautiful movements should have attracted attention.
However, they were inside a building's corridor, and no one even noticed anything.
Natasha was no match for Felicia; Felicia's Vibranium Battle Suit alone made her virtually invincible.
After a few rounds, he fell into a disadvantageous position.
The others were in similar situations. Even with his Goblin Glider, Barton was no match for Quicksilver and was subdued instantly. The Winter Soldier was initially evenly matched with Falcon and had the upper hand at one point, but Rhodey quickly joined the battle with War Machine, turning the tide of the war.
Inside Avengers Tower.
Steve rushed up hundreds of floors in one go, and even a super soldier like him felt extremely tired at this moment.
Fortunately, he had already dealt with the guards inside the building, and there were still quite a few remaining Ultron Robot. Now Tony's laboratory was almost in sight, but there was no joy on his face.
Because another person was blocking his way.
Scarlet Witch, Wanda!
Steve, panting, looked up at the girl standing at the other end of the stairs, his purplish face almost showing despair.
He had already witnessed the girl's strength during their previous escape from New York.
To be honest, he was no match for him at all.
Steve frowned, unwilling to give up so easily. "I heard from Peter that your name is Wanda? Why are you helping Stark? Can't you see that Ultron wants to destroy the world?"
I'm not helping him.
Wanda shook her head. "I'm destroying him."
"What?" Steve was taken aback, not understanding what Wanda meant, but he realized that this girl in front of him obviously didn't get along with Tony.
"What does this mean? What exactly do you want?"
Wanda looked at him calmly, without offering any explanation.
She wasn't United States, so she didn't have any filters when looking at Steve. She simply raised her hand, and magical power imbued her body with Chaos Magic and Energy of the Universe energy, making her appear as inviolable as a god.
"That's all, Steve Rogers."
In almost the blink of an eye, the entire squad that was launching a counterattack on New York was wiped out.
Faced with an enemy far beyond their level like Wanda Quicksilver, the strongest members of the group were actually Peter's Avengers, who were no match for them at all.
A dozen minutes later, everyone except Peter Parker was tied up and brought to Avengers Tower —that is, in front of Ultron.
Ultron was satisfied with the result, nodded, and said, "Well done, Wanda."
Wanda ignored its praise and said, "Now that you're no longer a threat, isn't it time to hand Tony Stark over to me?"
Ultron nodded. The situation in Wakanda was going very well; he had acquired a batch of Vibranium, so there was nothing to worry about anymore.
"Certainly!"
He is at your disposal.
