New York.

The city has been completely transformed.

New York, already a bustling modern city, has now become a veritable city of the future.

Manhattan, in particular, under Ultron's control, has transformed into a steel metropolis, with its gleaming silver buildings and an increase in hovercars traversing the skies.

Yet, in such an advanced city, the faces of its residents show no trace of pride; instead, most are gloomy and look as heavy as lead.

This city is so oppressive!

When did things start to become like this?

Flash thought as he sat on the school bus.

Not long ago, all areas of New York completed their reconstruction, and Midtown High School reopened.

But he didn't see the Parker brothers.

This is a very strange thing. Ben is one thing, Flash knows he's Primus's boss and it's common for him to skip school, but Peter is a good student who never skips class (at most he'll be late, ask for leave, or leave early...).

He tried to go to Primus to find them, but before he could get close, he was stopped by several Ultron Robot.

This puzzled Flash; he had no idea that Primus had come under Ultron's control.

"I wonder how Benny and Peter, and what about that person..."

He recalled the one-armed, medium-length-haired man he had met at the Primus Sanatorium, James Barnes, who, like him, had lost his memory and was deeply hurt by a forgotten past, and his heart couldn't help but feel even more worried.

Because Flash had already seen Bucky's wanted poster on TV—along with Spider-Man and Captain America.

"Have you heard, Flash?"

A classmate sat next to Flash, a look of amusement on his face.

"Liz's father has been arrested."

"Liz's father?" Flash was taken aback and quickly stood up with sympathy, searching for Liz.

He knew Liz was his ex-girlfriend, but he didn't remember anything about his past and didn't have much of a relationship with her. He was only worried about her because he cared about his classmate.

But he couldn't find Liz.

She didn't come to school.

The man pulled the Flash back, his mocking expression deepening.

"Well, this is a great opportunity. That bitch betrayed you and slept with Peter. Now Peter's disappeared too. Your chance has come..."

Flash frowned.

The other person's tone was somewhat lewd, and it was clear that the "opportunity" he was talking about was not as simple as just getting Liz back; it was more likely tinged with a threat.

This made Flash feel a little uncomfortable. He didn't despise the person in front of him, but rather despised himself, because being friends with such a person in the past was enough to prove that he was probably no better.

However, he wanted to know what happened next, so he didn't get angry and continued:

"I dumped her. She can date anyone she wants. Alright, John, tell me what happened. How did Liz's father get arrested?"

Who knows!

"Hasn't a few people been arrested lately?" John shrugged, not particularly interested in the topic. "Anyway, since they've been arrested, they're criminals, right? Otherwise, why would Ultron arrest them? Even if they haven't committed crimes yet, they definitely will in the future."

He couldn't be bothered to consider the details of what actually happened.

"Anyway, Ultron always right, even Spider-Man and Captain America are the same, aren't they?"

Spider-Man is not a criminal!

When Flash heard him mention Spider-Man, he immediately became furious and spoke up for Spider-Man: "Have you forgotten how many good deeds he's done? He's defeated so many enemies and helped everyone, but he never asks for anything in return."

John was startled by the Flash and didn't dare to refute it, only giving a perfunctory reply, "Maybe... I didn't say that, it was the Daily Bugle that said it."

"The Daily Bugle never says anything good about Spider-Man, you know that."

Flash's muscles relaxed again. He felt he shouldn't be angry with John, because that would be tantamount to using his force to intimidate John and force John to obey.

He knew Spider-Man couldn't be a criminal, but he also knew Spider-Man wouldn't resort to violence to resolve slander.

--

"My God, Jameson has been talking bad about me for 48 hours straight again. I want to punch him, pluck all his beard hairs, and then throw cigar ash into his eyes!"

In the sewers, Peter was jumping up and down in anger as he listened to the city's signals through an old radio.

They left the Safe House and returned to New York, intending to find Stark and force Stark to stop the Ultron program.

Steve's injuries weren't fully healed, but their chances were running out. Ultron was currently at war with Wakanda, and the vast majority of Ultron Robot had been deployed to the battlefield. There weren't many robots left in New York, so if they wanted to launch a counterattack, now was the only time.

However, as soon as the group returned to New York, they heard Jameson smearing Spider-Man, accusing him of all sorts of strange crimes, and even spreading rumors that he had stolen several public toilet seats. It was ridiculous!

"There are only 24 hours in a day, little spider; and did you really steal a toilet seat?" Natasha asked.

Of course not!

Peter narrowed his eyes and glared at her.

"Besides, although there are only 24 hours in a day, for Jameson, he would curse me verbally and mentally again. If you include newspapers and television, that adds up to thousands of hours."

"Isn't it 72 hours?"

Steve glanced sideways, for the first time questioning Peter's intelligence.

Peter didn't turn around, just waved his hand. "This way," then replied, "You haven't counted the newspaper reporters. He'll have every employee write a report criticizing me. As long as they criticize me, they get paid. The harsher the criticism, the more they get."

"You've had it tough too," the others said, giving Peter a sympathetic look.

In reality, because Peter drew the vast majority of Jameson's firepower, the others, although also wanted, were not infamous enough to be considered notorious.

Peter said he was used to it.

"It's alright. When I was taking his photos, the more evil I made Spider-Man look, the more money he was willing to pay. -- Over here, I remember there's a passage ahead, a bit narrow, but you can climb over it. Luckily, Ultron didn't install cameras in the sewers."

"Because normally, it only needs to monitor every manhole cover to make sure no one's here," Hawkeye Barton said, wiping his face with difficulty, as if trying to shake off something foul. "But we swam in through the drain, carrying all that city excrement—"

"Shut up!"

Natasha kicked him. "We're wearing protective clothing!"

"But the stench still won't go away."

Peter found the passage, which was only about the width of a shield; it wouldn't be easy for Steve to squeeze in.

The passageway was still filled with foul-smelling sewage, enough to make anyone who saw it turn pale.

Natasha pinched her nose and took several steps back. "Isn't there any other way?"

"Yes, there is, but it's a long detour." Peter didn't want to take the detour; in his opinion, a little dirt was nothing, and he'd swam with monsters in the sewers before.

If you're going to save the world, then don't be so obsessed with cleanliness.

However, they ultimately chose to take the long way because Natasha's shapely buttocks, wider than her shoulders, got stuck inside.

"You know, this reminds me of our first mission, dealing with Doctor Animo. Back then, you got stuck in the ventilation duct like this," Steve began, reminiscing about the past.

Natasha glared at him, annoyed. "If you had crawled in first, you would have been the one stuck. Do you know what would happen if you put your United States curvy butt in Nantong Love Movie?"

There is no Nantong here.

"I don't think so." Natasha glanced at Bucky discreetly, tossed her hair, and followed Peter.

Peter led them around in circles, saying with a sigh, "We can only get to the outside of Avengers Tower at most. Mr. Stark increased security when he rebuilt the tower, and we can't go underground."

"But I'm afraid we'll be discovered as soon as we show ourselves, won't we?"

Barton said with some concern.

Peter nodded. "We have no choice but to force our way through; at least for now, we're only a few hundred meters from Stark."

He turned around, glanced at everyone, and said, "Most of Ultron Robot are currently on the Wakanda battlefield. Even if we are discovered, Ultron won't be able to subdue us quickly. I suggest we split up. One group will lure away Ultron's forces, while the other group goes to find Mr. Stark."

"I'm quick on my feet, I can distract Ultron," he volunteered.

At this moment, Peter inevitably thought of Harry and Pietro.

Unfortunately Pietro and his sister Wanda rebelled and even took control of Harry and Norman. Mary Jane and Felicia were also manipulated by Wanda and became their enemies.

This is why Peter didn't seek help; that would have been like throwing himself into the lion's den.

"Let's go distract those robots too," Barton and Natasha said after thinking for a moment.

They are quite skilled and can use buildings and the city to wage guerrilla warfare, especially Hawkeye, who is more useful on the outside. Once they squeeze into the building, his archery skills will be wasted.

Fortunately, Fury had considered that these people might need the Safe House when he built it, and prepared the necessary equipment for them inside. Otherwise, Barton would have had to use tree branches as weapons.

I'll go with you guys too.

Bucky scratched his head.

He felt that if his father's killer were standing in front of Stark, he probably wouldn't be able to persuade him.

Therefore, the final task fell to Steve.

The man, who had been fighting since the beginning of World War II, nodded, turned, and handed the shield to the Winter Soldier: "You need it more now than I do."

Bucky solemnly accepted the shield, a complex mix of emotions welling up inside him. He was about to say something when Natasha interrupted, "Is it possible that I need it most?"

She spread her hands, indicating that she had no symbolic weapons, only a small lady's pistol, which would have difficulty killing a tiger, while the Winter Soldier at least had an iron arm, made of Vibranium.

"Here you go..." The Winter Soldier didn't hesitate at all.

For him, the shield was not important.

"Never mind,"

Natasha didn't answer; she was just saying it casually. She felt that if anyone among everyone here was destined to sacrifice themselves, it would be best if it were herself.

Peter is the youngest, and he has brothers and elders; he absolutely cannot die. Barton has a wife and children, a happy family. Steve and the Winter Soldier at least have each other. Only she...

My life is worthless; if I die, I die.

Perfect, let the ghost of that Red Room disappear completely.

"OK, then get ready—three, two..."

They had reached the bottom of the manhole cover, Peter placed one hand on it. With just a little force, he could push it hundreds of meters high in an instant.

Outside the sewers, the area around Avengers Tower was deserted.

In the heart of Manhattan, there wasn't a single car; it was as clean as a vacuum.

Ultron blocked Tony Stark from hearing anything and naturally didn't want anyone to get close to him or tell Tony about recent events. Even Pepper hadn't appeared in front of Tony for a long time.

Ultron would sometimes use virtual images to simulate videos for them to talk. In these fake videos, Pepper always seemed busy with work and had no intention of communicating with Tony.

When faced with Pepper, all of Tony's intelligence seemed to fail him; he couldn't detect any problem.

He remained in that room, bathed only in the cold light of electronic screens, believing he was monitoring the entire world, issuing orders to fictitious cases. Countless phone calls came in every day, telling him what had happened, what had been resolved by the Ultron system, how many people had been rescued...

Flourishing!

Ultron gave him whatever he wanted to see.

If he really can't resist, Ultron will have Wanda control a group of people to meet with him.

As long as Tony is in New York, everything he sees and hears is what Ultron wants him to see and hear.

Ultron only needs to guard against anything outside its control coming into contact with Stark.

At this moment, several robots were patrolling the skies above Avengers Tower as usual.

The next moment--

Boom!!!

With a loud bang, the robot immediately looked in the direction of the sound, only to have its gaze fixed on a round shield that was flying towards it at great speed.

Click!

The manhole cover sliced through the robot like a disc blade, instantly severing its head.

The Ultron Robot, having fallen, finally saw what had happened.

Spider-Man grabbed the manhole cover with his Silk and swung it through the air, the sound of his webs slicing through the air echoing.

the Avengers?

When did you return to New York?

Ultron couldn't understand it.

However, this did not prevent it from immediately signaling the remaining robots in New York and notifying Wanda and Quicksilver at the first opportunity.

They must never see Tony Stark!
