Swampfire!
In the gray woods, Ben and Wanda appeared abruptly, their figures flashing by.
The surrounding trees were lifeless, their withered branches twisting and growing like the claws of a demon, looking as terrifying as ghosts.
"Is this Niflheim?"
What becomes of the dishonorable dead?
Wanda looked around curiously. All around was silent, and the terrifying jungle was shrouded in thick fog, as if ghosts could appear at any moment.
The Ben nodded.
He originally planned to come to Niflheim after Mjolnir was reforged, but the battle between the Dark Elf and Hela was urgent, and reforging the Hammer of Thor also required the dwarves' technology; the heat of the flames alone could only melt the hammer.
So he left an Eternal Flame in the place where the Giant Stomach of Sakaar originally was.
What was originally a huge and terrifying crater of fire has now been burned away under his control. The entrance leads directly to the depths of Sakaar's core, where he placed the Eternity flames to burn alongside the galaxy, making it an ideal furnace.
Once Bill returns with the dwarves, they can immediately reforge Mjolnir.
He then brought Wanda to Niflheim first.
"Be careful. Although the Death’s Crown has been scattered throughout this kingdom, even just one-sixth of the crown must carry immense power. Moreover, once Hela has reorganized her forces in Helheim, she will definitely set her sights on Niflheim."
If it really came down to a fight, no one would be a match for him.
However, Ben also intends to give Wanda some training.
The Scarlet Witch has limitless potential; the stronger she becomes, the stronger the Energy of the Universe she feeds back to the Legerdomain Dimension will be.
Wanda nodded, and the two of them began their search of Niflheim cautiously.
However, just as they were about to take action, they discovered that something was wrong with the jungle. The dead trees suddenly opened their Liaokong eyes, and their dry bark tore open to reveal mouths.
"These things are..."
Wanda, somewhat frightened, hid behind Ben.
Wanda was fearless in the face of any enemy, but these terrifying tree spirits, which seemed like something out of a children's fairy tale, frightened her, and she instinctively wanted to rely on Ben.
"Don't worry, just destroy it."
Ben said calmly.
His expectations for Scarlet Witch were on par with Thanos, Illuminati across the Multiverse. The enemies he brought to Niflheim to confront were at least the Six Niffleheim Lords; these dryads weren't even worth mentioning. What was there to fear?
I'm afraid Wanda could just unleash a powerful spell and wipe out the entire area.
If it were Heatblast, a single Deathflame Beam would probably wipe out the entire forest.
That would be too boring.
Ben is also planning to use other Alien Hero.
"Ghostfreak!"
He quickly pressed the button, and the next moment, green light spread, and a tall, upright hero with skin like grass and a head like solidified flame appeared.
"Is this Ghostfreak?"
Wanda paused for a moment.
The Ghostfreak's appearance was recorded in the Galactic Plumbers's records, and Ben had even prepared a contingency plan for the Ghostfreak to go out of control. Although the possibility of it going out of control was not high, and even if it did, it was unlikely to cause any major trouble, since Ben was not Ben Tennyson.
That's why Wanda knew about the Ghostfreak.
She even knew basic information about some other Alien Hero, but this one in front of her didn't seem to have appeared before.
The Ghostfreak figure looked like a spirit, but what was in front of it was a humanoid plant with a green body, a green flame-shaped crown on its head, and a black face and feet. In addition, there were red bud-shaped objects on its shoulders and green leaves on its arms.
"This is... Swampfire?"
Ben himself was taken aback.
"When was Swampfire unlocked? I have no idea... But oh well, this feeling is pretty good." Ben was quite happy that he had unlocked a new Alien Hero.
The intensity of Swampfire, in particular, is quite high.
"Swampfire?"
Wanda's eyes darted upwards, recalling the lectures Peter delivered like a mantra when she was forced to attend extra classes at the Galactic Plumbers.
"So it's biogas, no wonder it smells a bit bad..."
She pinched her nose, but didn't show any disgust or move away.
"Don't say that, Swampfire is very strong."
Swampfire is the Methanosian.
In addition to his basic fire abilities, Swampfire, true to his name, can release swamp gas, giving his flames an explosive effect.
Swampfire is also a force to be reckoned with; in the animation, it once single-handedly toppled a climate-altering tower built by Half-Beastman, which is equivalent to being able to demolish a building.
Moreover, its life form is closer to that of a plant, possessing certain immortality attributes, strong regenerative ability, the ability to scatter seeds and dormant spores, secrete toxic compounds and mud, and, more importantly, Swampfire can also control plants.
Thinking of this, Ben looked at the restless, withered trees with a hint of malice, as if he intended to turn him and Wanda into nourishment and bury them here forever.
But...
With a wave of his arm, Ben's the Five Fingers instantly transformed into vines that spread outwards, and flames instantly ignited on those vines, as if they had transformed into a flaming blade that slashed out.
Whoosh--
With a single strike, the leading row of tree demons was cleaved in two.
The flames burned along their severed wounds, quickly turning into a raging inferno that consumed them completely, leaving only grayish-white dust in the blink of an eye.
Then he took a step forward and said coldly:
"Who else wants to cause me trouble?!"
Instantly, all the tree spirits stopped in their tracks, their faces filled with terror. They looked at Ben, or rather, at Swampfire, as if they were looking at a king among plants, an existence that could not be defied.
And so, Wanda witnessed an astonishing spectacle.
This terrifying forest, which had existed for an unknown amount of time and had killed countless lives, has once again taken root in the earth, submitting to the Swampfire.
"It feels like a fairy tale..."
Wanda exclaimed in amazement.
She felt like she had returned to her childhood, when her mother would always tell her fairy tales when she couldn't sleep.
For example, a nature god or something...
"Now I understand why Caiera always said you were born to be king, not just the king of Sakaar, but also the plants."
Ben didn't argue. "You should call her Security Officer Caiera."
Swampfire is the king of plants. In the animation, Benny used it to control a large number of pumpkin monsters. If Swampfire enters its second stage, the flowering form, its abilities will be further enhanced.
but...
The flowering shape is rather ugly, and it also affects the plant itself, causing breakouts all over its body.
"I think I'm past puberty by now..."
Ben thought to himself, still shaken.
He'll be going to university in just two semesters.
Let's go.
He waved his hand and walked out of the forest. When the tree spirits saw that he was about to leave, they all moved their roots to make way for him.
Seeing this, Ben couldn't help but marvel at the power of the Swampfire once again.
Perhaps the power of fire cannot match that of Heatblast, but its functionality in other aspects far surpasses it. When I watched the animation before, Ben felt that Heatblast was being betrayed because of the Swampfire's many abilities.
"We could try fusing the genes of the Flora Colossi to enhance the power of the Swampfire."
Ben quickly provided the Swampfire with a reinforced path.
Groot's race Flora Colossi, had great potential for development. The extinction of this race was decided by the Five Major Abstracts. The fact that the Flora Colossus could be wiped out by the Five Major Abstracts at the same time naturally shows that the Flora Colossi was a race of great value.
Coincidentally, when Rocket and Groot were at the Galactic Plumbers, Ben had extracted Groot's genes.
Ben controlled a tree spirit and learned from it about Niflheim and the Six Niffleheim Lords, as well as their locations, before dispelling his transformation.
"Omnitrix, a fusion of the genes of the Methanosian and the Flora Colossi."
[Attempting to merge...]
After receiving Ben's instructions, Little Broken Watch immediately began working. However, since there was no artificial intelligence Azmuth, to assist it, the calculation time would likely be longer.
This is something that can't be helped.
After all, the gene fusion module wasn't something that came with the Little Broken Watch; the real Azmuth wouldn't invent such a device that damages biological genes.
This device, developed by Ben and Eunice based on Connors ' research, is highly dependent on computing power.
Fortunately, the calculations do not affect the other normal functions of the Little Broken Watch.
"According to the information provided by these tree spirits, the remaining Niffleheim Lord are planning to form an alliance to fight against the Dark Elf ' invasion, which has saved us a lot of trouble," Ben said.
The four of them gathered together, which saved him and Wanda from running around.
Who are those four lords?
Wanda asked.
"Madam Olmor, Killer King Gar-toom, King Blackbone, and the Nidhogg," Ben said. "Each of them wields one-sixth of the Death’s Crown's power. In terms of strength, they're probably comparable to Thor in his current state. It's no wonder Malekith's forces haven't been able to annihilate them all yet."
That being said, Ben felt that Malekith probably didn't care that much about Niflheim.
Otherwise, he should have come in person.
"And here's another interesting tidbit," Ben suddenly laughed, his tone full of teasing. "Guess who helped Malekith defeat two Niffleheim Lord and seize a third of the Death’s Crown's power?"
Wanda blinked, looking at Ben with a puzzled expression, clearly not knowing the answer.
"Vilgax?"
"No, it's Hoder Odinson."
"Odinson? Another one of Odin's children?" Wanda covered her face, suddenly feeling that this family was a real headache.
Among so many children, very few are easy to manage.
"Does he also want to be a spy like Loki?"
"You're overthinking it." Ben shook his head, not having a high opinion of this legendary god of darkness.
Ultimately, the reason Hoder was in Niflheim was because he had killed his brother Balder, which led to his execution by Odin, and his Soul Stone ended up in this dishonorable land of the dead.
This kid probably harbors a stronger hatred for Odin than Hela.
"Let's go! Anyone who stands in our way is our enemy!"
--
Let's rewind to a few days ago.
Earth Pacific Ocean Deep Sea.
Psyphon, wielding the Celestial Hammer, helped the greatly weakened, freed Serpent away.
However, the Serpent originally thought that after seeing the light of day again, all it needed to do was summon the remaining Celestial Hammer, bring panic to the world, and immediately regain its divine power to overthrow the rule of Asgard.
However, Psyphon brought him to Vilgax...
"You betrayed me?!"
The Serpent was dumbfounded.
He simply couldn't believe it. You see, the Celestial Hammer carries powerful magic. As long as you grasp the Celestial Hammer and become Celestial Hammer master, you will receive a psychological suggestion that enhances the wielder's destructive desires.
Moreover, the person who wields the Celestial Hammer is essentially a god of the Serpent lineage. Everyone would recognize Serpent Cul as the Father of the Celestial and obey his commands.
Unfortunately, he encountered someone named Psyphon.
Even in his mental breakdown, he remained a loyal servant of Vilgax.
Before Vilgax, he would betray not only the Allfather, but even his own father!
"Lord Vilgax, his name is Cul Bor, Odin's brother, and like Odin, he possesses unparalleled divine power! Once you absorb his power, no one in the Ten Realms will be your match!"
"You did a great job, Psyphon!"
Vilgax rewarded him.
He strode up to the hunched-over Cul, Cul was too weak to resist. The large hand that the tentacle had twisted out grabbed Kur's head and lifted him up like a chick.
Cul's eyes widened, and his pupils contracted.
As the god of fear, he now truly understands what fear is!
Vilgax dragged Cul to the device and roughly shoved the machine's pipes into Cul's shoulders.
The next moment, immense divine power was drawn from Cul's body—though he was weak, his primordial power was far greater than it had been five thousand years ago. At this moment, all his foundations were uprooted and surged into the body of the Vilgax!
In an instant, Vilgax's muscles bulged and emitted a dazzling light. After Cul's divine power surged into Vilgax's body, it immediately reacted with Vilgax's original power.
Vilgax released his grip after a moment.
The Serpent lay on the ground like a dried-up corpse, its eyes wide open in death.
"Lord Vilgax...?"
Psyphon tentatively opened his mouth.
"I feel great, very good!"
Vilgax's crimson eyes gleamed.
Originally, Cul's source of fear required the fear of Earthlings to take effect, but Vilgax is not bound to the Nine Realms, so he can now absorb any power of fear to strengthen himself!
and--
Vilgax reached out and beckoned.
In the endless darkness of the night sky, several hammers flew by like Xing Yi.
