The Phantom Zone Contains a God's Consciousness
"Your strength is disappointing, Zod."
In outer space, Ben grabbed Zod by the collar and lifted him up.
They were just a Kryptonian who hadn't been exposed to the yellow sun; in Ben's eyes, they weren't really a problem.
The Solarstorm he transformed into was the most perfect Kryptonian after Little Broken Watch; even the data in the Codex was replicated.
If Clark embodies all the potential of Kryptonian, then Ben represents the pinnacle of Kryptonian potential in every aspect.
In comparison, the mobility and strength granted to Zod by his armor seem rather insignificant.
However, this cannot overshadow the armor's excellent performance.
Without this armor, Zod and his group wouldn't even be qualified to fight Clark. Kryptonian, who haven't been exposed to the light of the yellow sun, are only a few times stronger than Earthlings.
A single suit of armor allowed them to erase an Infinity gap in strength.
Judging from their fighting prowess shown in the movie, they are overwhelmingly stronger than other heroes.
At least against the combined attacks of Batman, two Flash, and Supergirl, Zod and his group could completely overwhelm them.
Unfortunately, his enemy wasn't The Flash, but Ben Parker!
"Go all out!"
Zod was still conscious and was now furious, veins bulging on his forehead. Upon hearing his words, Faora, who had been thrown away with him, immediately tensed up and charged towards Ben like Rocket.
The suit of armor allowed them to move freely even in the gravity-free outer space.
However, before he arrived, Ben's attack came first.
Before Faora could react, Ben's side kick struck her neck, sending her spinning like Cosmic Windmill.
If Ben hadn't held back, that kick could have knocked Faora's head off.
He also discovered Faora and her group's weaknesses.
"It seems that while this suit has increased your strength and speed, your reaction time and senses haven't improved much as a result."
Normally, given the power these Kryptonian displayed, it's impossible that they wouldn't have been kicked away without even noticing Ben's kick. Even if they couldn't keep up, they would at least have made an attempt to block. However, Faora was completely unable to react to Ben's extraordinary speed during the kick.
This is enough to prove that Ben's strength and speed far exceed the sensory enhancements that the Kryptonian Battle Armor brings them.
That is indeed the case.
In the movie, after Faora's mask shatters, a flood of information rushes into her brain, overwhelming her and ultimately leading to her defeat.
However, this weakness is of little significance to Ben.
He can overwhelm the opponent with just his stats, without needing any mechanics. It perfectly embodies the phrase: "Use your super power!"
Of course we should use it.
Becoming Kryptonian was so he could ruthlessly crush opponents with sheer numbers. Although Ben many heroes who are stronger than Superman at this stage, becoming Superman fulfilled his childhood fantasy.
He slammed Faora into the crust of a barren planet with a few punches, then ripped Zod's armor apart with a backhand.
Zod tried with all his might to stab Bant in the eye with the Ben, but the tip of the blade sparked in front of Ben's pupil before snapping in two.
"Impossible!" Zod was completely dumbfounded.
How could anyone be that strong?
"In ancient Danzō stabbed Susanoo with a kunai; now, General Zod stabs Superman with a dagger." Ben shook his head helplessly. "Who taught you to fight Superman like that?"
Ben wouldn't normally be so arrogant, especially considering the precedent of Superman being injured by a robot on Kryptonian Spaceship in the movies.
However, after analyzing the situation, he discovered that although Krypton's weapons were sharp, they were not powerful enough to easily injure him. The reason Clark was injured in the movie was because the residual air in the spaceship contained trace amounts of Kryptonite, which unintentionally weakened Clark's body.
As he spoke, he gripped Zod's helmet with one hand. It's said that Spider-Man has the strength of several tons in each finger, and for Superman, that number is magnified thousands of times. Crushing a helmet is much easier than flattening a soda can.
Under the immense pressure, Zod's features were deformed, and his eyeballs bulged out, making him look like a frog.
Ben looked up and saw that Clark's side had basically finished the battle as well.
Clark had been exposed to the sun for nearly thirty years, and his Superpowers had actually grown to an unimaginable level. However, because he had always suppressed his power, he was like an elephant that had been bound since childhood, and even as an adult, he dared not easily break free.
However, after sparring with Ben, his power was almost fully unleashed, making it easy for him to even move the earth's crust. His learning ability was also very strong. During his sparring with Ben, he transformed from a stat-challenged Bant who didn't know how to fight into a Kryptonian Krypton skilled in combat.
Zod and his crew's ship was riddled with holes. Ben led Zod and Faora, the two prisoners, back to their own ship, while Clark brought two other Kryptonian with him.
Ben removed all their armor, threw it on the ground, and knelt down to speak to Zod.
"Can we talk now?"
The four Kryptonian were all beaten up and, without their armor, were powerless to resist. Ben glanced at them; Faora had a pretty good figure, and her black combat suit accentuated her taut and powerful physique.
Her face was quite delicate, but unfortunately, one of her eyes was bruised by Ben.
Ben quickly looked away. Faora was quite nice, but he didn't like her tomboyish short hair.
"We have nothing to talk about with traitors to our race!"
Although Zod was already a prisoner, he remained defiant, glaring angrily at Clark as if he wanted to tear him apart and devour him alive.
He had no complaints about losing to Ben; he was simply surprised by Ben's strength.
But he couldn't accept Clark siding with the Earthlings; it was betrayal!
"No Kryptonian would do such a thing! You have disgraced the El Family!" he roared, feeling it was all for naught for his dead friend.
Although he killed Jor-El, he was saddened by Jor-El's death. But what saddened him even more was that Jor-El's son had chosen to betray his race and, together with some guy who appeared out of nowhere, beat them all up, all for those inferior Earthlings!
You were wrong, Jor-El!
I'm right!
Zod's anger could not be quelled.
He really wanted to dig up Joe Al's coffin, pull out his corpse, and tell him in person what kind of bastard he had fathered!
Indeed, the idea of natural reproduction is simply a low-level and backward mistake!
If the genetic program is pre-programmed according to the Codex, then even if Kal'El were lost in the universe for tens of thousands of years, he could not possibly betray Krypton!
"I can't let you harm Earthlings, that's the bottom line." Clark's face was full of struggle. "We know you want to rebuild Krypton, and we can help, but the reconstruction of Krypton cannot be built on the remains of Earthlings or other planetary species. And the New Krypton shouldn't have its future decided before newborns are even born, as it has been before."
"This isn't civilization, it's just procedure."
"And then breed millions of bastards just like you?" Zod sneered.
He had absolutely no interest in the future of Krypton that Clark had described.
Zod is a stubborn person.
He only acknowledges the Krypton he remembers. If it's not the Krypton he knew, then even if he cultivates countless Kryptonian like Clark, in his view, he will ultimately fail to save his homeland.
Thinking of this, he glanced sideways at Ben.
"So this monster is the second-generation Kryptonian you created using the Codex? Pathetic thing, utterly worthless and without honor!"
???
Ben kicked him right in the face.
"Negotiations have failed, just kill them."
He clapped his hands and stood up.
Ben wasn't too disappointed that he couldn't subdue Zod and his men.
Anyway, they weren't needed to rebuild Krypton. Ben only gave them a chance to see Krypton reappear in the universe because of Clark's influence.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, all in one look!
Since the other party didn't appreciate it, he didn't care.
Upon hearing this, Clark's face contorted as if he were experiencing a stomachache. "There's no need to kill them... Perhaps we could imprison them..."
He didn't have any principle of not killing, but the thought of taking a life still made Clark feel resistant, especially since Zod was one of the few remaining Kryptonian in the world.
Prior to this, he had always hoped to get along well with the other party.
"Could we put them back into the black hole?"
"You mean the Phantom Zone?"
Ben stood up, walked to the spaceship's control panel, and turned on the computer.
He copied all the data from the Zod ship using the Upgrade's body when he hacked into it, and the wreckage of the ship is still there, so he can repair it at any time.
"Recreate another Phantom Zone? That's no problem, but are you sure you want to lock them up?" Ben turned to Clark and asked.
"What if they escape again?"
"Then I will kill them," Clark said resolutely.
Although he was kind, he wasn't as naive as Peter.
"Whatever, it's your problem anyway." Ben disheartened, but still agreed to help Clark build a new Phantom Zone.
He first used the power of the Upgrade to fuse the two spaceships into one, turning it into a black and green old, dilapidated ship (not actually dilapidated). Then he integrated the data from the Phantom Zone and transformed into Grey Matter to begin designing.
Clark was very curious when he saw that he had turned into a small gray frog.
"Is this also your Alien Hero? He doesn't look very strong. What are his Superpowers?"
Ben glanced at him with the horizontal pupils of Grey Matter and said, "I'm better at using my brain."
After saying that, he Middle East Clark's surprised gaze, then pulled out a pair of glasses. "Krypton technology, capable of distorting people's perception, making them unrecognizable. If you plan to live a peaceful life, you should be able to use it."
Clark took the glasses in surprise. "If my eyesight weren't so good, I'd probably think you were doing magic."
"This is nothing. If there were any Juryrigg, I could build you a spaceship in just a few minutes."
Making the glasses was just a small step; the real challenge was the Phantom Zone. However, Ben had already grasped the principles of the Phantom Zone, so it wasn't difficult to make. The problem lay in the Phantom Zone itself.
The more Ben learned about the Phantom Zone, the more he realized that this prison was somewhat unusual.
"The Phantom Zone is not part of the ancient Krypton."
"You're right, that's the space I discovered." Sometime later, Joe El's AI program appeared behind them, or rather, he had actually been inside the spaceship all along.
"Krypton's dominion covers 28 star systems, but the Phantom Zone is not among them. I discovered it by accident. The life forms that enter the Phantom Zone are like living ghosts, ageless, immortal, and do not need to eat. They can even observe things in the universe, but they cannot communicate or interact in a physical form, and can only rely on telepathy," Jor-El explained.
This is nothing short of Eternity torment.
Once imprisoned in the Phantom Zone, it's like being a vegetative person with consciousness, aware of everything, yet unable to move even a finger.
"What if he feels itchy somewhere?" Clark asked.
He thought that if the prisoner had athlete's foot or something similar, that would be the most terrible torture.
"Theoretically speaking, fungi shouldn't be able to move once they enter the Phantom Zone," Joe Al told him not to worry.
But Ben certainly wouldn't consider the prisoners' feelings.
Something else that made him feel uneasy. "Did you know that the Phantom Zone is closely related to the gods?"
In a sense, Ben himself is already a god, at least among his many Alien Hero, there are countless gods. Therefore, even in his current form as Grey Matter, he is very sensitive to the aura of gods.
"This space is a manifestation of the consciousness of a certain deity; it is precisely because of this power that it is not subject to the laws of physics."
"Such a thing is true?" Jor-El was very surprised, and then said something that surprised Ben as well, "I don't know. I'm a Krypton scientist, not Krypton wizard. If I were a wizard, perhaps I could have noticed something amiss?"
Ben:???
Krypton has wizards?
His frog-like face widened in surprise.
Having only seen a few DC movies, he thought that everyone on Kryptonian was a monster warrior with low magic resistance.
"So the Phantom Zone can no longer be used?"
"No, it doesn't affect its use. It's just that I don't know if being associated with a god is a good thing," Ben said, shaking his head.
However, after thinking about it, he figured there was probably no need to worry. After all, Superman and Batman were the core of the DC universe; with them around, what were mere gods?
If you dare come to Earth, I'll rip your head off and use it as a toilet!
Moreover, having external enemies is actually a good thing, so that Batman won't be constantly thinking about devising plans A to Z to eliminate his own people.
