Completion Thoughts

It's finally over.

The book was alright in the beginning, but the later parts were really hard to describe. Especially after I went abroad in March of this year and stopped updating for quite a long time, I just felt like I couldn't get motivated and had no motivation to continue writing.

Furthermore, the subsequent plot is basically about major events related to the comics, but like Ben, I only have a superficial understanding of the comics and basically wrote it based on comic book explanations. This resulted in me not knowing many details and not being very familiar with the various comic book characters, making it very difficult to write.

Then the commentary videos got more and more confusing, and by the end I couldn't understand the messy timelines and character relationships anymore, and the power levels seemed really inconsistent -- I shouldn't have unlocked Alien X so early.

This is also a point that I couldn't continue writing about later on.

If we don't use Alien X, some people will say we're suppressing the protagonist's power level, that the protagonist is pointless, and that we could easily resolve things earlier but we don't use them. But if we do use them, the novel is basically pointless; we could just set up three tables and listen to three different consciousnesses arguing in each other's heads.

Therefore, I must be careful not to raise the fighting power too high too early when writing books in the future.

There were also more and more characters that I found difficult to control. Later on, the storyline of Peter going to the Contraxia was actually easier to write, but after that part came Maltruant and the Beyonder, especially the Beyonder, which was particularly difficult for me to write.

The original Dagon was intended to write this part in detail, but the two characters are omnipotent beings, and I don't even know how to describe the battle scenes. It feels like ordinary punches and kicks don't fully embody the concept of "omnipotence".

Finally, the poor quality updates dragged on until the very end.

The Mutants that were originally planned to be included weren't written (thankfully they weren't). Also, in the original setting, there was a plan for Ben to use the Spider Alliance's "Homecoming Machine" to test the watch's genes and then go to the Ben 10 world to open a small dungeon, but then it was deemed unnecessary, so it was abandoned. It's just a pity that Azmuth is gone because of this (the last chapter's Kantmil can be considered Azmuth's "limited-time return").

In short, it's all over and I feel so relieved.

This book hasn't lived up to the expectations of my readers, and I apologize to them all.

I'm so sorry! I'm kneeling! (orz)

I probably won't write about Marvel anymore; it's too big a topic to manage.

I also discovered some of my shortcomings. One is that I'm not very good at writing climaxes, and the other is that I'm not very good at writing character designs. I always feel that the characters are a bit flat. I will practice these two aspects in the future.

The new book is already in preparation, or rather, it's been in preparation for quite a while. The Dagon is currently over 10,000 words long. The theme is back to the original <Harry Potter>, which is a comfort zone for me. I wouldn't dare say it's written exceptionally well, but at least it won't be too disastrous. -- I mentioned before that I might start a new Naruto book, and actually I already have. I submitted two copies, but it just didn't feel quite right.

I don't really like conspiracy theories, so writing about them was a bit difficult, and I eventually gave up.

That's all, we'll send out a notification when the new book is released.

Grateful!
