Tang San seeks the Man Faced Demon Spider as his Third Soul Ring, but Meng Shu takes it after threatening to have Tang San’s right hand severed. Tang San escapes mutilation through Zhao Wuji’s negotiation, yet vows revenge over both the humiliation and lost Soul Ring. 30 31

The spider later dies beneath the Titan Giant Ape before Tang San can absorb it. As a result, he never gains the Soul Ring or the External Soul Bone that would have granted the Eight Spider Lances. 61

Spirit Duel Arena

Tang San senses that his Blue Silver Grass is simultaneously attracted to and threatened by Qing Mu, whose plant-related abilities overlap with the Blue Silver Emperor’s authority over vegetation. 36 37

After Qing Mu defeats Xiao Wu, Tang San declares his intent to challenge him. 39 In the later fight against the Imperial Fighting Team, Tang San uses Hidden Weapons to incapacitate the Shi Family Brothers and holds off several opponents alone, but ultimately concedes after exhausting his resources. 60 61

Xiao Wu’s Disappearance

Xiao Wu’s capture and later sacrifice for Dugu Yan leave Tang San grieving and directionless. He drinks heavily, searches unsuccessfully for her, and mistakes Dugu Yan for Xiao Wu because of the lingering scent he senses on her. 78 117

Blue Silver Emperor Awakening

Tang Hao brings Tang San to the valley containing Ah Yin’s hidden plant form and soul bone, only to find both missing. Tang San learns his mother’s true identity and realizes that his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline has not fully awakened. 154 155
