Background and history

Early life and the Mind Armor

Du Ke was born in Luzhou City and studied Materials Science at Anhui University. After graduation, a failed relationship and an aimless period left him determined to begin again when he obtained the Mind Armor, an artifact created by the Mind God Race. 1 386

The Mind Armor provided him with a beginner Mind Power cultivation method and the coordinates of a habitable New World. He spent days isolated in his rented room studying intensively, converting acquired knowledge into Mind Power and discovering the armor’s materialization and replication functions. 2

To finance his preparations, Du Ke adopted the alias Li Changyang and worked as a car-modification consultant for Boss Xu. His ability to diagnose engines and design modifications earned him a high salary, commissions, and a reputation among wealthy clients. 3 4

Before activating the New World coordinates, he bought a furnished Luzhou apartment for his parents, left them its deed, keys, and 100,000 yuan, and quietly prepared for the possibility that he would not return. He crossed into the Fantasy World on October 1. 6

Scientific rise

Du Ke initially intended to use Fantasy World materials to create the Long-Haired Battery, later formalized as the electron flow battery. He wrote papers to establish ownership of the underlying theory, protect its core secrets, attract investment, and build a laboratory of his own. 15 45

His early work drew Professor Tao Xun’s attention, leading to a graduate recommendation at Xiake University. He published three papers in the Journal of Chemical Physics, retained Tao as his advisor despite competing recruitment attempts, and entered a master’s-to-doctorate path under Tao and Chen Yang. 19 22 26

The two-world researcher

Du Ke met police officer Shui Jing through President Bao and agreed with her to prioritize their careers before pursuing a relationship. Their relationship later progressed to engagement, marriage, and residence at the heavily secured Du Mansion. 137 185 257 279

He and Shui Jing have three children, including their eldest son Du Xingyu and daughter Du Xingyun. Despite his public responsibilities, Du Ke remains involved in family life and takes particular care to keep his family out of media coverage. 368 418 461

After reaching the Saint Hall and True God Tier, he merges with his clones, unlocks the Mind God Race legacy, identifies the Fantasy World’s location, and creates the Dream Cultivation System to allow humanity to cultivate Mind Power. 469
