For example, in Doraemon, the blue fat guy first used this camera to enlarge and film an image of dorayaki.
Then he had Nobita film himself holding a knife and fork, happily jumping in place.
After editing and splicing those two shots together, they created a film of Doraemon holding a knife and fork while jumping atop a gigantic mountain of dorayaki.
In that episode, Nobita thought it was interesting and wanted to make a movie.
But he and Doraemon got into an argument because they both wanted to be the lead.
In the end, Doraemon became the protagonist by threatening not to lend them the gadgets unless he got the role.
Forced into being a supporting character, though still a righteous one, Nobita specifically went to Shizuka's house to find her.
Dekisugi happened to be there too, and he thought it sounded interesting enough to join in.
Doraemon also thought he was well-suited for it, so he made him the screenwriter and director.
Dekisugi happened to have a script he had written earlier, [Great Demon God of the Universe], which was perfect for the occasion.
So Doraemon took out all sorts of gadgets and had everyone split up to prepare.
Nobita went to find Suneo, Anio, and Haruo to help out. The four of them agreed that they absolutely should not invite Gian, or they would all have to act according to his orders.
But once all the preparations were complete and filming officially began, Gian showed up from who knew where.
He asked what everyone was doing, and Suneo immediately sidled up to flatter him, saying they were making a movie and had been looking for him to play the lead.
In truth, though, the only role left was that of the Great Demon King of the Universe. Everyone planned to coax and trick him into joining.
After filming began, Gian kept watching from the side, but he found it strange that he never got a chance to appear and gradually became annoyed.
On top of that, Gian's mother had told him to return home early, so Dekisugi said they would start by filming the big star's entrance.
After putting on the Great Demon King's costume, Gian thought it suited him perfectly and was very pleased.
First they filmed a shot of him laughing, then a shot of him eating. (Gian: That's right, a righteous superhero needs to eat too.)
Then they filmed a scene of him "beating up bad guys," a scene of him getting knocked down. (Dekisugi: It's only interesting if a righteous superhero faces danger too.)
And finally, a scene of him taking a nap after defeating the bad guys. (Everyone was snickering.)
Yeah, everyone was treating Gian like a Japanese person~~~
Though he really was Japanese.
Later, during the preview screening, everyone dared not invite Gian, but he found out anyway.
And when Gian arrived, it happened to be right when his scenes came on. He saw that the earlier footage had been edited into this:
He laughed because his subordinates had captured Shizuka, then picked up a knife and fork to prepare to eat her. Then he fought the boys, was knocked down by the superhero, and lay on the ground after being defeated while everyone cheered...
There was no doubt that he was furious, so angry that he even cried as he waved his fists around and tried to hit people.
Fortunately, everyone had already run away by then.
Tiger Warrior, Lion Warrior, Elephant Warrior...
Even a group of elementary school students like Doraemon and the others could come together and make a pretty decent film.
And by pretty decent, that meant the plot was logically sound, while the costumes, props, and other preparations were all thoroughly handled.
Together with everyone's committed performances and the help of Doraemon's gadgets.
Such a film counted as a work of respectable quality.

The story's general framework was finally settled:

[For the sake of that great treasure, the thieves continuously sent out evil Monster Humans developed through biotechnology to launch attacks.]
[To protect Sacred Mountain and everyone's way of life, the Inventor Doctor who lived in seclusion there used his inventions to successfully grant the power of Sacred Mountain's fierce beasts to warriors willing to step forward and protect everyone.]
[These warriors successively gained the powers of different fierce beasts and united to form a team. Together, they fought the evil organization of thieves in a series of battles, and the team's name was...]
"Let's call it the Beast Squadron!!"
Hearing the crucial part, Uvogin sprang to his feet in excitement, spittle flying everywhere.
"I want to be the Tiger Warrior, Lion Warrior, Elephant Warrior..."
The others completely ignored that idiot.
