Background / History
Uvogin grew up in Meteor City alongside Machi. At thirteen, he guarded a garbage territory from scavengers, relying on his intimidating physique and direct aggression. Despite his rough manner, he consulted Machi’s instincts before accepting Mog’s suspicious offer of food, showing that he was not blindly reckless. 2
Mog’s inventions fascinated Uvogin, particularly the [Mochi Maker]. After eating over two hundred mochi, Uvogin offered Mog protection in the area and began regularly associating with him and Machi. His curiosity about Mog’s power soon conflicted with his pride: he initially refused to beg for Nen instruction, even when he clearly wanted it. 6 7
After watching the other youths receive Nen instruction, Uvogin finally approached Mog directly and sincerely requested to be taught. Mog later selected him, alongside Franklin, as one of the first people whose aura pores would be opened. 22 50
He trained under Mog at Heaven’s Arena, where repeated fights against Nen users transformed his initially crude, force-driven style into a more disciplined combat approach. After leaving the Arena, he travelled with Nobunaga and pursued revenge against the “Children’s Future” conglomerate. 68 71 118
Appearance
Uvogin is an exceptionally large and muscular man whose physique was already comparable to that of an adult at thirteen. His appearance becomes increasingly wild as he pursues his image of the “world’s number one villain.” 2 118
- Broad shoulders and heavily developed musculature. 118 197
- Silver-white long hair worn down his back in later years. 118
- Often wears minimal, wilderness-like clothing, including fur pants and boots or a grass skirt for combat mobility. 118 197
- Projects an overtly aggressive, predatory presence that frightens ordinary people. 197
Personality
Uvogin is loud, proud, straightforward, and intensely competitive. He reacts badly to humiliation or being ignored, and his first instinct in most disputes is confrontation. His territorial behavior in Meteor City and long-running rivalry with Phinks reflect this combative temperament. 2 15 60
Despite appearances, he is capable of caution and loyalty. As a child, he trusted Machi’s judgment over his own instincts and avoided attacking Mog after receiving food from him, believing it would be dishonorable to covet Mog’s power through violence. 2 7
His greatest ambition is to travel the world with the Troupe and become the “world’s number one villain.” He seeks powerful opponents for the excitement of battle, but can accept restraint when allies such as Nobunaga or Mog provide a sound strategic reason. 43 199
Abilities & Skills
Enhancement-Type Nen
Uvogin is an Enhancement-Type Nen user specialized in close-range physical combat and the reinforcement of his already formidable body. 213
- His aura pores were opened directly by Mog, after which he learned to retain and control his Qi. 50
- Initially relied on crudely coating his body in aura to raise his offense and defense. 64 67
- Refined his combat fundamentals through Shingen-ryu guidance, Heaven’s Arena matches, and sparring against Mog. 67 69
- Can use advanced Nen applications including [Circumstance], [Hardening], [Flow], and [Tenacity]. 71
Super Destruction Fist
[Super Destruction Fist] is Uvogin’s named Nen attack: a straightforward right punch loaded with concentrated aura and physical force. 199
- Broke through Iron Jaw’s initial confidence in his steel-like defense and forced him backward. 198
- Reflects Uvogin’s preference for uncomplicated power, direct impact, and pure strength refinement. 199
- Was used to defeat the gorilla-like Shadow Beast, King Kong. 215
Amplified Roar
Uvogin can amplify his already thunderous voice into a disruptive combat tool. 215
- His shouting caused nearby people to bleed from the ears, collapse, or foam at the mouth during the Ambrosia casino assault. 197
- His roar briefly dazed King Kong, allowing Uvogin to capitalize on the opening. 215
- The technique is indiscriminate enough to irritate nearby allies as well. 215
Physical Combat
Even before learning Nen, Uvogin possessed unusual strength, endurance, and a willingness to fight through injury. 2 10
- Defeated opponents easily at Heaven’s Arena and gained supporters for his violent, uninhibited fighting style. 60 68
- Repeatedly challenged Mog despite being decisively defeated in their sparring sessions, accelerating his improvement faster than the others. 69
- Prefers opponents capable of resisting his attacks; weak enemies fail to interest him. 197
Relationships
- Machi Komachine — Longtime partner from Meteor City. Uvogin trusts her sixth sense and relies on her judgment when assessing danger. 2 22
- Mog — First fed Uvogin and Machi, then became Uvogin’s Nen teacher and training guide. Their relationship began with Uvogin’s curiosity and pride, but developed into trust. 6 22 50
- Nobunaga Hazama — Close friend and travelling partner. Nobunaga often acts as Uvogin’s bodyguard, money manager, and tactical restraint when Uvogin wants to rush into danger. 20 71 199
- Phinks — Rival since Meteor City. Their relationship is defined by arguments, brawls, and competition over strength and pride. 10 15 60
- Chrollo — Initially clashed with Uvogin over theft from his territory; Uvogin later came to admire Chrollo after the cartoon performances and joined him in the Troupe. 3 30 126
- Feitan — Fellow Troupe combatant and early rival; Uvogin fought Feitan and Phinks alongside Machi before their group consolidated. 10 68

Revenge and the Phantom Troupe
