Background / History

Chen Sheng originally transmigrated from Earth into the body of the Crown Prince of Yan. Born to a mortal-world branch of the Chen Clan, he failed spiritual-root testing at age seven and was expected to live only as a wealthy noble. His transmigration brought the Myriad Lives Tome, which allowed him to reincarnate among his bloodline descendants for one hundred lives. 1

During his first recorded life, he focused on extending the Chen bloodline. By age forty-nine, he had obtained the Myriad Lives Tome achievement “Hundred Sons and Thousand Grandsons,” and his descendants had produced more than eighty immortal seedlings with Spiritual Roots. 1

In a later life, Chen Sheng pursued alchemy under Huang Yueyang, becoming a skilled alchemist through persistent study rather than natural talent. He married into Huang Yueyang's family, became Tang Xichen's father, and cultivated both alchemy and Qi Condensation. 11
