Background
The original Qi Bei Nord was born with a weak constitution and failed both martial and magical cultivation. He became known as a frivolous, useless young master despite being a direct descendant of the Nord Family and the younger brother of Huai'an Nord. 13
Eight months before his return, the original Qi Bei attempted to save Princess Mingyue from an undead mage who had infiltrated the Imperial Palace. The mage abducted him into the Undead Mountain Range, where both eventually died from their injuries. 13
Qi Bei’s body was then possessed by the soul of an Earth university student of the same name. The transmigrator inherited the original body's memories, the Dragon Imprint on his left palm, and the Divine Dragon Art. 13
He spent roughly seven months surviving alone in the Undead Mountain Range: looting the undead mage’s belongings, learning to activate an invisibility formation with Undead Beads, hunting undead, and acquiring a longbow and archery manual from an adventurer’s corpse. The ordeal transformed him into a disciplined, calm survivor. 13
Appearance
Qi Bei was initially a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy with dirt-covered skin, ragged clothes, and a dark longbow. His presence carried a cold, deathly aura after months among the undead. 1
- Slightly curly blond hair and dark, star-like eyes 10 30
- A golden Divine Dragon Imprint on his left palm 1
- Cold, lightning-like eyes and a malevolent aura when expressionless 1
- A warm, friendly appearance when he smiles, which sharply contrasts with his usual intimidating presence 1
- A stronger, battle-hardened physique after surviving the Undead Mountain Range 19
Personality
Qi Bei is exceptionally composed in life-or-death situations. His survival in the Undead Mountain Range taught him to analyze danger quickly, conserve his strength, and exploit even small openings against stronger enemies. 1 13
He is cunning and often theatrical, using deception to unsettle enemies or gain sympathy. He feigned severe injury after treating Phantom in order to earn her trust, and he deliberately provoked noble rivals while avoiding battles that offered him little advantage. 18 31
Qi Bei can be ruthless toward those who threaten people under his protection. He ordered Young Master Fox’s ears cut off after Fox targeted Phantom, invaded Marquis Lanling’s residence to investigate him, and later implanted dragon energy in Lanling’s Heavenly Aperture to control him. 19 32 47
His behavior toward women is frequently flirtatious and boundary-pushing, especially toward Yao Rao, Phantom, and Princess Mingyue. 5 39 48 Beneath this immaturity, he is deeply protective of his allies and repeatedly risks himself for Huai'an, Vajra, Phantom, and his soldiers. 15 29 49
Abilities & Skills
Divine Dragon Art
Qi Bei’s core internal cultivation technique, brought with him from Earth alongside the Dragon Imprint.
- Produces golden inner force that dramatically strengthens his physical abilities and senses 1
- Can reinforce weapons with golden energy sharp enough to cut through low-level undead easily 1
- Restrains magic and Battle Qi to a degree, though Qi Bei is warned not to reveal this advantage carelessly 9
- Supports his Battle Qi cultivation by drawing ambient Battle Qi into his middle Dantian 15
- Can be used for meridian treatment and to protect vital apertures within another person’s body 18 29
Divine Dragon Transformation
A transformation technique tied to the Divine Dragon Imprint and Extreme Yang Fire.
- Requires Yin-Yang harmonization to prevent Extreme Yang Fire from consuming him 3 10
- Transforms his hands into scaled Dragon Claws capable of tearing through stone and powerful magical defenses 11 33
- Gives off a dragon aura that frightens or suppresses hostile energy 29 33
- Has severe energy demands; his initial Dragon Claw transformation can only be used twice before exhausting his inner force 11
- The Chapter of Fear later merges into the Dragon Imprint, adding fear energy to his transformed attacks 36
Mad Dragon Battle Qi Art
A Saint Grade Battle Qi art given to him by Yao Rao. It manifests Battle Qi in dragon-like forms. 9
- Allows attacks such as Dragon Slash and Mad Dragon Slash 21 42
- Can shape Battle Qi into deceptive forms, including a thrust that changes into a dragon-tail strike 14
- Its Dragon’s Will accelerates Qi Bei’s cultivation but contributes to triggering Extreme Yang Fire 10
- Lets him merge Divine Dragon inner force with Battle Qi for attacks powerful enough to pierce Fentian’s Lightning Shield 42
Black Longsword
A mysterious black sword released from an ancient magic array beneath the Blood River. 3
- Detects nearby dark energy and identifies dark spells, including the Nine Nether Soul Spike Technique 15
- Absorbs dark soul restrictions and reveals otherwise invisible magical formations 32
- Absorbs energy released by dark practitioners, including Venerable Wutian 33
- Can slowly break the seals within Venerable Wutian’s Spatial Ring 36
Archery, Stealth, and Improvisation
Qi Bei developed practical survival skills during his months in the Undead Mountain Range.
- Accurate enough to extinguish two skeletons’ eye flames simultaneously with arrows 3
- Uses terrain, traps, Undead Beads, and improvised tools to evade stronger undead 1 3
- Created a bark-rope zipline across the Blood River by shooting an arrow between distant tree branches 3
- Uses misdirection and close-quarters movement against stronger opponents, including the Phantom movement technique and Pulse Severing Finger 50
Dragon-Energy Control
Qi Bei can send dragon-infused inner force into another person’s body or Heavenly Aperture.
- Temporarily clears Phantom’s blocked meridians and identifies the suppressed power within her 18
- Protects Vajra’s Heavenly Apertures from the violent energy of his Berserk Bloodline, preventing him from losing his mind 29
- Places dragon energy in Marquis Lanling’s Heavenly Aperture, allowing Qi Bei to control and punish him remotely 47
