Background / History

Naruto first meets Neji and Hinata at Ichiraku Ramen, where his enthusiasm for ramen immediately contrasts with Neji's reserved demeanor. Hinata views Naruto as reckless but admires his carefree nature 6.

Before the Chunin Exams, Neji trains Naruto alongside the rest of their generation. Naruto initially believes Neji is helping him surpass Sasuke, only to realize that Neji is raising everyone's strength at once; he comes to fear Neji's relentless training and healing regimen 104.
