Breaking Through the Gate
The whole process naturally attracted the attention of the children, teachers, and the fat official at the institution.
However, none of these people thought much of it; they simply mocked the white man who was suffering from acclimatization problems behind his back. The more unlucky he looked, the happier they became.
Henry stopped vomiting because his position while being supported was incorrect; if he continued to vomit, he would end up vomiting on himself instead.
It would be disgusting to do that to the two people next to him.
So he was just dry heaving. But considering the filth in the ditch, no one suspected it was all an act. Even Brian wondered if the young man had actually eaten something bad.
This behavior, of course, did not alert the burly guide or the local black men. They were even more unrestrained than the children, pointing and laughing loudly at Henry.
These rude remarks did not anger Ms. Hepburn, because she was currently worried about her young assistant.
After finally getting him to the car, Audrey helped him lean against the hood. She opened the back door, leaned halfway inside, and rummaged through her handbag. "I remember putting my stomach medicine in there. Just bear with it, kid."
Suddenly she felt someone push her lower back, and then her legs were grabbed and shoved into the car!
Brian, who had just made the move, casually got into the car. His movements were so practiced that one couldn't help but wonder if he had done similar things many times before. His three companions were already waiting by the second car. The moment their leader made his move, everyone quickly got into their cars and started the engines.
In Brian's plan, the slowest to move would be Henry would be sitting on the passenger side of the car.
To everyone's surprise, instead of going around to the front of the car and getting in from the driver's side, he grabbed onto the roof and jumped in through the open passenger window. He then nimbly stepped over a seat and sat directly in the driver's seat.
The movements were so fluid and graceful that they were even more exaggerated than the most perfect shots chosen from hundreds of takes for film.
The moment the car behind started its engine, the car in front started its engine as well. The action was so swift that the group of Old Black onlookers couldn't react in time.
However, this whole series of rough actions was not very friendly to a 60-year-old star. Especially after being forcibly shoved into the car, Ms. Hepburn inevitably bumped and bruised herself, getting dizzy.
By the time she came to her senses, the car had already started moving. Ms. Hepburn raised her voice in dissatisfaction, saying, "Can someone give me an explanation?" and then tried to sit up.
Henry or Brian didn't even need to waste their breath; a gunshot rang out and a bullet shattered the car window, and Audrey had just sat up straight, was forced back into her seat by Brian.
The head of the security team said, "Madam, do we need any further explanation?"
Henry, in the front seat, yelled, "Brian, is this car bulletproof? Do you have a bulletproof vest? Have the boss put one on!"
Then I saw an Old Black blocking the road toward the gate, firing a rifle at me.
If the attack came from the side of the car, Henry would have a headache. He didn't believe the CIA was so invincible that they could just throw any car out and install bulletproof plates.
However, the engine is the thickest block of iron in front of it, and it's not so easy for a small rifle to shoot it down.
Instead, charging straight ahead would allow you to knock the Old Black away at top speed and escape the protected facility. It's much better than circling around to dodge bullets.
Sure enough, Brian was rummaging through the rear storage compartment, pulling out a bulletproof vest and draping it over Audrey Hepburn as he yelled, "Watch out, this car isn't bulletproof!"
After protecting Hepburn from head to toe, Brian also drew his rifle and returned fire at the enemies charging from the side. Audrey Hepburn was also a veteran of filmmaking; even though she was facing real guns and bullets, she felt a strong sense of unreality in this situation.
If Henry's sharp tongue were on full display, he would definitely say, "You can only make sarcastic remarks before the bullets have hit you."
However, Henry was certainly reluctant to say such things, nor did he have the time to. He was currently using all his Super Senses to monitor a radius of about ten kilometers centered on himself.
About three kilometers away, a convoy was clearly heading in their direction. The reason Henry didn't doubt whether they were just passing by was because he sensed several "Africa artifacts" —Toyota pickup trucks with machine guns mounted on them.
Fortunately, Henry and his men acted quickly enough. Otherwise, if they had been cornered, escaping would have taken a lot of effort.
The woman, covered by the bulletproof vest, finally managed to shake off the feeling of unreality and managed to ask, "Can anyone tell me what's going on?"
However, she wasn't foolish enough to look up and see what was going on, thus making herself a sitting duck.
Suddenly the car stopped; Henry had just burst through the wooden gate. The kidnappers lying in ambush inside could only fire from behind.
The guide's car was started, but he needed to wait for some people to get their weapons and get in before he could give chase. This inadvertently wasted some time.
In the rearview mirror, Mark's second car had also caught up smoothly. There were no pursuers for the time being. Henry then said, "
Boss, I heard our guide say in Somali that he wanted to kidnap you, the big white star, and kill everyone else.
"That fat liaison officer probably wasn't an official either. In fact, they were planning to make a move when they picked them up at the airport."
But the fat, dark-skinned man stopped the guide.
He said there would be more manpower once we arrived at their territory, so the guide wouldn't have to deal with five white men by himself. But it seems we arrived early, before their forces had even taken their positions, which gave us the chance to escape.
Audrey sat up, saying worriedly, "Will the children from the protection agency be alright?"
Brian, who was busy taping bulletproof vests to the left and right car doors, said, "We should leave as soon as possible and avoid a gunfight with the protection agency. That would be better for those kids."
"Their target is us, and they will catch up. No one will bother with those worthless children. If we stay there, with our manpower and the terrain, we can't protect anyone."
After speaking, Brian put a bulletproof vest on Audrey Hepburn. Before, it was just a quick cover-up, but this time it had to be secured firmly. He also got a steel helmet and put it on the big star.
As luck would have it, Ms. Hepburn had just finished dressing when gunshots rang out from behind. Although the bullets didn't hit the car in front, Mark and the others in the car behind had already exchanged fire with the guide's jeep that had caught up.
Brian pushed Audrey Hepburn down onto the seat again and covered her exposed limbs with several layers of bulletproof vests.
Although I wasn't able to cover myself completely, it was still a small token of my affection.
He also reminded her, "Madam, please lower your body as much as possible."
