Commissioner Stacy's daughter was someone everyone in the police headquarters knew. Fortunately, no one greeted her by saying things like, "I helped change your diapers when you were little." They merely nodded and exchanged greetings.
Ever since Henry had raised tigers, been harassed by Skye while she was still living in the sewers, and helped on the front lines during 9/11, he had become a regular at the station. Even though he was bald now, everyone still recognized him.
Not to mention that Henry was now one of the police foundation's financial backers. The two of them made their way straight to the commissioner's office with little obstruction. Seeing his daughter, George Stacy, who had been buried in a mountain of documents, was greatly surprised. He had intended to stand and welcome her, but the old cop noticed several unusual signs.
First, Henry was with her. Second, his daughter had changed into a set of casual athletic clothes he had never seen before. They were noticeably looser too, not the fitted clothes she would have bought for herself.
