Superman managed to get a reporter's identity as Clark Kent through his acting skills without being noticed by most people. For the Phoenix Force, which can influence reality, to live a low-key life is simply easier than harder.

However, just as Henry couldn't control Tony Stark's actions, Jean Grey couldn't possibly do whatever Henry said.

She coldly replied, "My affairs are none of your business. I can handle them myself. You just need to lead the way."

A disgruntled Henry retorted, "I wasn't worried about you! I was worried you'd cause trouble for others. Are all superheroes like this? They only care about satisfying their own vanity and don't care about anyone else's life or death."

"You!" Jean Grey glared at her fiercely, her eyes flashing with a strange light.

Unfazed by the threatening gaze, Henry pretended not to notice or look at anyone, muttering a complaint, "If you want to do whatever you want, go back to heaven. If you want to live like a human being, then do it like one."

"Ah!" Jean Grey gasped, clenching her teeth as if she wanted to crush the bones of the man before her.

Finally, she patted her cheeks to calm herself down. Jean Grey said, "I'm ready, let's go."

"What's changed about you? I can't see it." Henry looked at the man and asked in surprise.

"It affects cognition; even what's captured on surveillance cameras will be different people. Your brain is abnormal, and I don't want to interfere too much, lest you follow in Professor X's footsteps."

Such widespread mind control would be a huge burden for ordinary Mind Stone. But for Jean...

For Grey, the Phoenix's host, it was even easier than suppressing all the energy within her body.

Although Jean Grey doesn't yet have a deep understanding of the energy within her, it seems to possess a kind of consciousness.

This ineffective performance stems from his unwillingness to approach Henry.

At this moment, Henry approached with a sly look and asked, "So, in other people's eyes, are you a man or a woman?"

>"

Receiving another death stare, Henry shrugged and said, "I need to know if it's a man or a woman. Otherwise, what if I introduce the wrong person when we go in? Are you going to cooperate with a sex change?"

Why can't you be the one to admit your mistake?

"Oh, that works too. Anyway, we'll see how things go, and the first to speak wins," Henry said shamelessly.

"My gender hasn't changed." Jean Grey gritted her teeth, regretting coming all this way.

"Okay, let's go." Henry then led his men into the hospital.

The VIP ward was on a higher floor, but there was no access control; the nurses at the nurses' station simply asked a few questions, and the two were able to return to the ward without any problems.

The atmosphere in the ward was slightly better than the tense standoff before Henry left; it felt like a period of mourning now. Was this a better situation? The Kryptonian wondered.

Jean Grey, who also entered the room, saw the person on the hospital bed, and just as Raven had guessed, it was Audrey Hepburn.

What If...? it weren't for this big star, Qin wouldn't have thought of coming.

But from the moment she entered, she became the center of attention. The way she was looked at wasn't very friendly, which made Qin feel uncomfortable.

Henry then introduced, "This is Phoenix, a candidate for the X- X-Men in United States, and she has Mind Stone abilities. My suggestion is that she communicate with the unconscious Ms. Hepburn."

In this world, Jean Grey doesn't have the same distinctive features as other Mutants, nor does she often stand on the front lines of the X- X-Men's battles.

Therefore, unlike Raven, Ororo, Scott, and others, she doesn't have a special name for Mutants, such as Mystique, Storm, or Cyclops.

The name "Phoenix" was used for the first time. To Jean Grey, it sounded like Henry had just made it up, since she didn't know that the power she possessed was called the Phoenix Force.

Although no one had heard of Phoenix, they had heard of the X- X-Men. They were a superhero team from United States.

We have a good working relationship with the government.

This eased the tension in the crowd slightly. But Sean still questioned, "How can we believe you're saying it's my mother's idea?"

Henry introduced them together, "This is Sean Farrell, Hepburn's eldest son. And this is Luca Dottie, her second son."

Knowing who was asking the question, Qin didn't feel offended. After all, they were family and certainly had the right to question her.

Jean Grey then said, "Then I can connect your consciousness with Ms. Hepburn in another way, allowing you to communicate with her yourselves. But whether you believe the conclusions reached this way is not my problem."

The two brothers exchanged a glance and nodded in agreement.

But Qin added, "I've never entered a patient's consciousness, let alone connected with a normal person's consciousness. So I'm not sure what might happen. But I can assure you there won't be any danger."

Seeing that everyone had no objections, Qin then said, "Now that we're ready, let's begin. May I extend my hand to shake Ms. Hepburn's hand?"

Robert made room for Audrey Hepburn on one side of the bed and helped lift her hand from under the covers so she could shake hands with the Phoenix.

Holding that bony, skeletal hand, even Qin was momentarily disoriented. Unlike a child's small hand, it was the size of an adult's, full of bones and a dry, rough feel, as if foreshadowing the final moments of life.

Jean Grey only dared to hold it lightly, not daring to squeeze it tightly, for fear that if she used too much force, she would break the hand.

She extended her other hand to the woman's two children and said, "Put your hands here, you two brothers."

Without much thought, Sean and Luca placed their hands on Phoenix's. The instant their hands intertwined, their consciousness seemed to be pulled into a unique space.

There are no ups, downs, lefts, or rights here, no ground to stand on, and even one's own image is blurry.

Qin didn't deliberately guide the two ordinary people who had never experienced anything like this; it was simply that their consciousness was drawn to the other person.

She was a six or seven-year-old girl, curled up, hugging her legs, just like a baby in the womb. Perhaps she had always been the girl who needed her family and her parents the most.

"Mother." The girl was awakened from her sleep by the voice of one of her brothers, though she couldn't tell which.

As she slowly opened her eyes, time continued to pass over her.

Let her grow from a girl into a young woman, then into a mature woman, and then into an old woman. Like the ephemeral flower, from the moment the bud first blooms to its withering, it only takes a short moment.

When she fully opened her eyes, she was Audrey Hepburn lying in her hospital bed.

She hugged the two sobbing little boys, then looked towards another empty spot and gave a kind smile.

That's Jean Grey, and also the Phoenix.
