A Night Feeding a Tiger
Just before entering the lab, Henry didn't forget the hungry little Tiger in his arms. He put Kitty down first, and the little tiger, now in its new location, was curiously exploring this dark and desolate world, momentarily forgetting that it was still hungry.
... Perhaps this little guy is following his instincts, searching for something to eat.
Henry still doesn't quite understand what the little Tiger is thinking. He only knows that it's hungry or needs to poop.
Using his Super Senses, Henry spotted a desert hare not far away, grabbed it, killed it, and placed it in front of Kitty.
The reason the rabbit wasn't gutted and was cooked before being fed to Kitty, the little Tiger, is that raw meat and organs contain nutrients needed by apex predators like Tiger. This is something that cannot be obtained by skinning, bleeding, and cooking Rabbit Armor.
Even freezing and thawing raw meat will destroy many of these components. Not to mention that this meat has been bled and processed for human consumption.
This was the result of Henry checking the book after raising the Tiger cub with cooked meat for a while and noticing that its behavior was a bit off. Otherwise, why would it be a carnivore instead of an omnivore like a dog that can eat anything?
The whole rabbit was fed to Kitty without any processing. Being a Tiger, it would instinctively know where to bite and which parts to eat to get the nutrients it needed.
The reason for not capturing them alive and letting the Tiger practice hunting is quite obvious. Adult Tiger acting like dogs, behaving like cuddles, is terrifying enough for most people; to also retain their hunting instincts would be unthinkable.
Henry had no intention of releasing Kitty into the wild; he was waiting for her tiger bones and penis after she died of natural causes. Letting her die young wouldn't be a big problem, but she still needed to reach adulthood.
The little Tiger, who was gnawing on Rabbit Armor, felt a chill run down its spine!
If you're serious about keeping a Tiger cub at home, you need to find ways to reduce its wildness and suppress its instincts.
Because not all carbon-based creatures living in cities have the methods or awareness to avoid Tiger. If Kitty were to become accustomed to actively hunting and finding food when hungry, the consequences would be almost unimaginable.
So just feed them properly. Feeding them is fine too.
Henry had already checked. Although California at that time did not have laws restricting the keeping of specific types of animals, the owner was still jointly liable What If...? their animal injured someone or harmed another person's pet.
Unless the animal is an endangered species, United States. law does not have provisions prohibiting its sale or possession.
There is a clear list of endangered and protected animals. It's not something that conservationists can just decide on a whim. Tiger are not on that list.
In short, Kitty quickly devoured the Rabbit Armor. Despite Rabbit Armor small size, the little Tiger was covered in blood.
Although the fur was gnawed to shreds, not much was actually eaten; Kitty mainly ate the meat. The Rabbit Armor's internal organs were mostly intact, except for the heart, which was eaten, and a small piece of the liver was bitten off; the rest remained largely intact.
However, judging from Kitty's still somewhat unsatisfied expression, the little Rabbit Armor probably wasn't big enough.
Helpless, Henry happened to hear the commotion of a fox nearby. He caught it, did the same to it, strangled it, and threw it in front of Kitty.
Henry managed to keep the fox's fur intact. However, to skin it and use it, it would need to undergo tanning and semi-tanning processes; otherwise, it would be difficult to preserve and prone to infestation by insects. Henry was too lazy to do that, so he simply threw the whole fox to Kitty to gnaw on.
As for how to tell if she's full, it's quite simple. When Kitty starts playing with the food, it probably means she's not hungry anymore or doesn't want to eat anymore.
Playing with food is a bad habit, whether it's for humans or animals. It shows a lack of respect for life.
Eating is for prolonging one's life; but playing with it is another matter entirely. That's why people emphasize not wasting food.
What If...? carnivorous animals behave this way, it could potentially foster a vicious habit of killing for food. Rather than betting that Kitty won't transfer this behavior to humans, it's better to prevent such behavior from arising in the first place.
So whenever Henry sees Kitty start playing with the food, regardless of whether she wants to continue eating, Henry will take the food away.
This little Tiger has become quite possessive of its food; it eats the edible parts as quickly as possible when it sees food, and leaves the inedible parts for its owner to deal with...
Just as Kitty was gnawing on the dead fox, Henry, who was waiting nearby, looked up at the sky.
In this desolate wilderness free of light pollution, moonless nights offer unimaginable starry night views. Combined with the Kryptonian ' vision, the stars appear multicolored, rather than a uniform white light.
In a rare moment of peace, Henry cleared his mind, allowing his ever-thinking Super Brain to temporarily set aside all thoughts and enjoy a brief respite.
The wind in the wilderness carried the surrounding sounds to Henry: the scraping of flying sand and stones, the clamor of small animals foraging in the night, and the mating calls of animals in heat.
These seemingly incomprehensible and meaningless noises, however, gave Henry a sense of unity at this moment. It was as if everything was one, harmonious and balanced.
Henry's previously blank Super Brain suddenly seemed to break through the body's limits, starting to operate at lightning speed. It made Henry feel like he had a fever, with his head temperature exceeding normal body temperature and continuing to rise.
This is different from the painful situation where the Super Senses processing of too much external information causes Super Brain, leading to the need to identify everything. This is a very novel kind of stimulation.
Just like Henry, who has already mastered more than thirty official languages, is now trying to decipher the language of Tiger, this Super Brain is attempting to understand the world.
Henry didn't know why he had entered this state. He only knew that he seemed to see a thread in the darkness, and if he followed that thread, he might be able to find something.
Is this something Kryptonian or Superman could do? Henry, who had never been Kryptonian before, couldn't answer. To him, Superman was just a character in the comics, and of course, he wouldn't know anything that wasn't mentioned in the comics, animations, or movies.
But does the absence of mention or discussion mean it doesn't exist?
Realizing that he was in a situation with no precedent to follow, Henry simply let his instincts run wild and allowed his body to act on instinct.
So at that moment, he unconsciously used his ability to fly and floated into the air. He sat cross-legged, with his palms facing upwards.
Purple blossoms on the top of its head, blue between its brows, green in its throat, green on its chest, yellow above its navel, orange in its groin, and a red glow at its perineum; with this body it responds to the world.
Until they were silently enveloped in Mirror Dimension, their connection with reality severed.
