Armor's First Combat Test
These dark creatures possess physical abilities far exceeding those of ordinary humans. It can be said that without specialized equipment, ordinary people would be unable to defeat Vampires with their bare hands.
This is also the main reason why these shady characters believe they are superior to humans.
It's unclear whether Jack Reacher was unarmed or had simply run out of ammunition and discarded his weapon. Now, he's left to fight the Vampires with his bare hands and feet, looking utterly pathetic.
If Kitty had arrived any later, she might have only been left to collect the body.
Just then, a Vampires, using superhuman speed, ran into Jack Reacher's blind spot, intending to pounce on the tall, muscular man.
Kitty, weighing over 500 pounds, combined with the weight of her metal armor, fell directly from the air and landed on top of the Vampires.
Even if the opponent's strength far exceeds that of ordinary people, the combined weight of the Duck Leopard armor and a Tiger is something that an ordinary Vampires cannot withstand.
The appearance of the Duck Leopard armor truly stunned everyone present.
Whether it was Jack Reacher, who had been calling for help for ages and complaining inwardly that support had been promised to arrive in three seconds but hadn't seen a single ghost even after almost ten minutes, or the Vampires attacking him, it was all the same.
A gigantic animal with a metallic appearance and obvious mechanical features—this is something you basically only see in movies. In reality, even Vampires from the fantasy world never imagined they would see such a... Monster.
What's particularly frightening is this creature's size. Although most people only recognize it as resembling a feline and can't distinguish whether it's a cat, a tiger, or a leopard based on its yellow fur with the Spot.
But its enormous size, comparable to that of a small car, and its clearly carnivorous features made this metallic Monster even more ferocious. No one would mistake it for a cute little kitten.
The camera pans across Little Duck Leopard armor, now focusing on a special-purpose version. Using infrared thermal imaging, Henry confirms that, aside from one unfortunate figure lying flat on the ground, the rest are Vampires.
Although a few of them looked somewhat disheveled, Vampires could heal wounds inflicted by ordinary people in a short time. Therefore, there were no abrasions or scrapes on their bodies, and of course, no knife or gunshot wounds.
Only torn or ripped clothes can prove what kind of harm they have suffered.
Scenes like this have become common on the streets of Los Angeles recently.
These dark creatures are just one step away from stepping out into the light of day, marching through the streets like a bunch of Old Black, and shouting slogans like "Vampires lives matter too," to unequivocally prove their existence to the world.
However, no matter how much these radical Vampires want to expose their existence to the world, they can't possibly march and demonstrate in broad daylight. Even sunscreen, which helps them protect themselves from the sun, has limitations on its use.
Having quickly assessed the situation on the battlefield, Henry then projected a mark onto Kitty's retina. This caused a change in Kitty's attitude and demeanor.
For a long time, Henry had never instilled in Kitty the concepts of "enemy" and "hunting target". Even when Katie ate fresh raw meat, Henry would break the animal's neck and let Kitty gnaw on the parts she wanted.
However, these marked targets are "dangerous targets that will actively launch attacks." The training method is also very simple: provide some automatic crossbows or catapults that will attack Kitty. Just get Kitty used to retaliating against these targets.
Even so, it won't attack the marked objects first until they attack Kitty. Once they do, it's Kitty's "game time."
Just think about what happened to the animals that usually play with this Tiger, and you'll know what fate awaits those who are marked.
Being flattened is commonplace. Being bitten and torn apart also happens frequently.
Henry had no intention of raising this Tiger into a helpless coward. Unless the opponent was himself, or a super-powerful being like Gilgamesh of the Eternals, Kitty wouldn't be able to win even if she fought back.
However, upon suddenly seeing a gigantic metal Monster, the Vampires did not launch an attack rashly. Their advantage lay only in dealing with humans, a "non-evolved" inferior race.
Even most Vampires would be at a loss if they were asked to dismantle a car with their bare hands. Not to mention a monstrous metal Monster.
So the situation on the scene was that although the Vampires had all been marked by Henry and had successfully attracted Kitty's attention, Kitty would not attack them at close range unless they initiated an attack.
This was no problem for Henry, who had partial control of the Duck Leopard armor.
Far away on the plane, he rhythmically tapped the rings together on his ten fingers, activating the armor's weapon systems. Henry certainly wasn't foolish enough to have a high-tech suit that could only be used for hand-to-hand combat.
Moreover, the opponent was Vampires, and killing him wouldn't be a waste of time. Just looking at the situation on the ground, and considering that one of them was Jack Reacher, whom he was supposed to protect, Henry didn't even think about pursuing the issue of right and wrong.
The Little Duck on the back of the Duck Leopard armor turned on its speaker and said in a flat, emotionless electronic voice, "Flashbang. If you don't want to be blinded, cover your head and crouch down to shield your eyes."
Jack Reacher lived up to his reputation as an active-duty soldier. Although he was a military policeman, he hadn't missed any combat training. As soon as he heard the content of the voice, regardless of where it came from or who was speaking, he instinctively protected himself according to his training.
The Vampires, of course, heard the same thing. But being untrained, they didn't react that quickly. And they didn't think a mere "flashbang" could pose any obstacle to them.
Before the Vampires could utter a few polite words, the weapon compartment of the Duck Leopard armor, remotely controlled by Henry, immediately opened, ejecting a sphere shimmering with blue-purple light.
Vampires are very familiar with this thing. They've been terrified of it lately, having been blown up by it.
This is a deadly weapon against Vampires — the Ultraviolet Grenade, capable of wiping out large groups with a single strike. Only Vampires who are lucky enough to hide in the shadows and escape the ultraviolet radiation from the explosion have a chance of surviving and spreading this information.
However, unlike those grenade-type attacks, the Ultraviolet Grenade ejected from the weapon magazine of the Duck Leopard armor vehicle do not have a long delay fuse.
Right after it ejected from the magazine, it rose to its highest point, which was actually only about 45 centimeters above the magazine, and it probably took less than a second before it exploded!
