Passage Duel
The first bullet ricocheted and destroyed the surveillance camera above the security guard's head.
Those who noticed this were deeply impressed by the other's shooting skills. But most people remained completely oblivious.
The Green Arrow Duck doesn't make its entrance slowly, emerging from around the corner and becoming an easy target. Instead, it uses its slightly airborne maneuverability to suddenly burst through the corner.
The heavy machine gun that was originally on his back was now in his hand, and it roared with metal!
With more than a dozen pistols, most people didn't even have a chance to pull the trigger; only a few were lucky enough to fire the first shot. But as long as they weren't mowed down by the first wave of machine gun fire, they would tumble and crawl away to escape. Without exception.
There was a guy who was obviously a newbie. After he turned the corner, he leaned against the concrete wall, holding a gun, seemingly wanting to ambush the strange-looking intruder.
But another veteran, with whom he had a fairly decent relationship, dragged him along as he fled.
Just as the young man was about to protest, he glanced back and noticed that the concrete he had been hiding in was now riddled with bullets from a heavy machine gun. Terrified, the young man joined the others who were rolling and crawling.
Even after the machine gun fire stopped, no one looked back. They kept running towards the stairwell, descending several floors before stopping.
Still shaken, the group exchanged bewildered glances. They counted the survivors and found only eight had escaped. This meant six or seven people had been left behind in the passageway.
After a long while, as emotions gradually calmed down, someone asked, "There's no more gunfire, shall we go up and take a look?"
The most seasoned veteran cursed, "Fuck! Go yourself if you want to. A confined space with a heavy machine gun, do you know what that means? This is the level of setup for the entrance to Hell."
"I don't care what that Monster is that can carry a heavy machine gun and move while firing. I only have a pistol, and I'm not going to fight a heavy machine gun with firepower."
Upstairs, to avoid being forced back by the recoil of gunfire, Green Arrow Duck had to abandon his slightly levitating state and walk directly on the ground. This undoubtedly reduced his mobility significantly, but the effect was surprisingly good.
A common misconception about firearms is that any cover can block a gun attack. In reality, the primary function of cover is simply to prevent the enemy from seeing you, thus making it harder to hit you; it involves a lot of luck.
Take the most common street gunfight as an example. Unless the car doors are fitted with bulletproof steel plates, the only reliable part is the vehicle engine, which can stop bullets without fail.
If you hide near a car door or inside the carriage, you might still get shot if you're unlucky.
The Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun in Green Arrow Duck's hands, commonly known as the.50 caliber machine gun, uses 12.7mm ammunition. However, it has been modified to allow for one-handed support and firing.
In military target practice, this thing is usually used to hit earthen mounds, not regular paper targets! And it often knocks the earthen mounds away.
The concrete walls of ordinary buildings are really not enough. That's why the thickness of the outer concrete walls of a proper military fortress is measured in meters. If they're not thick enough, they can't even stop a heavy machine gun, let alone artillery fire.
In ordinary buildings like skyscrapers, the only things that prevent heavy machine guns from being effective are the obstruction of vision caused by the complex terrain and the amount of ammunition they can carry.
However, these disadvantages disappear thanks to the Green Arrow Duck's reconnaissance capabilities. Although it cannot achieve one-shot kill accuracy, if the Green Arrow Duck is determined, it can rely on the power of its heavy machine gun to directly kill targets separated by floorboards or several rooms.
Killing wasn't his main focus. Even the unlucky ones he initially swept away were only hit in the hands or feet, leaving them lying on the ground unable to get up. These people dragged their crippled hands or feet in terror, trying to get away from the ridiculous-looking puppet in front of them.
As for those hit in the head or body, they died completely, as if a piece of them had been bitten off by some ferocious beast.
With the heavy machine gun still in hand, Green Arrow Duck re-entered a slightly levitated state and walked through the bloody passage.
He didn't finish off the people who weren't dead yet. These were ordinary humans who, regardless of whether they knew their employer was Vampires, still chose to aid and abet him.
Anyway, even if these people are still alive, they're already terrified and will inevitably be crippled in the future. To spread terror, we'll have to rely on the mouths of these firsthand witnesses. If anyone who has gone through all this dares to seek revenge, Green Arrow Duck will really have to think twice about them.
Regardless of whether what was soaking their crotches was urine or blood, Green Arrow Duck simply passed them and continued on towards its goal.
Perhaps the sheer force of the machine guns clearing the way had intimidated the group, so the ordinary guards stopped appearing for the rest of the way. Instead, the Vampires thugs remained inside the building.
These dark creatures still maintain their indescribable appearance. More like biker gangs from before the 90s than street thugs, they embrace rebellion and nonconformity as their defining characteristics, truly embodying the word "perverted."
These Vampires seemed overconfident, showing up armed only with knives, some even unarmed, completely disregarding Green Arrow Duck's machine gun. They added insult to injury with various shouts, doing everything in their power to provoke.
Of course, Green Arrow Duck wouldn't knowingly charge in with a heavy machine gun when he knew the weapon wouldn't be very effective, wasting bullets in the process.
He relaxed his hands and swung them back, and the heavy machine gun was immediately retracted into the back of the Duck Leopard armor via its movable support.
Seeing Green Arrow Duck's actions, a Vampires sneered, "Haha, Big Puppet, I thought you were so brave. Are you surrendering?"
"Honestly take off your hood and state your name. Perhaps we can accept you as a member of our observation team, allowing you to be worthy of our mark."
This statement makes it sound as if the humans who died or were injured earlier never existed. But to Vampires, blood servants and subordinates of the Vampires party are categorized as expendable goods, so they feel no regret whatsoever.
What these Vampires didn't expect was that Green Arrow Duck didn't have much ammunition to use against ordinary humans, which is one of the reasons why he didn't consider using a heavy machine gun against Vampires.
But we've prepared plenty of ammunition to deal with Vampires; today we're here to take care of Vampires. We've tolerated these bastards for so long, and now that they've gathered here, there's no Reason not to give them a good thrashing!
So Green Arrow Duck ignored the Vampires ' provocations and simply raised his left arm with his fingers spread. The Negasonic Teenage Warhead, propelled by an electromagnetic track and filled with silver nitrate solution, accurately struck the Vampires's chest cavity.
The shattered Negasonic Teenage Warhead allowed the silver nitrate solution to be rapidly absorbed by the Vampires's body. The sacred silver ions quickly disintegrated the dark creature's cells, causing it to enter a state of self-immolation.
Compared to the humans who were driven away with heavy machine guns earlier, these Vampires died silently. Five bullets meant the lives of five Vampires.
The only lucky survivor wasn't due to the slow reloading speed of the Magnetic Railgun System, making it difficult to fire continuously. It was simply because Green Arrow Duck needed someone to question him.
He hadn't forgotten that he came here to rescue people, not to clear the area.
