Invasion
A little common sense about using armored combat suits: don't expect much flexibility in "movement" because mechanical joints can hardly balance power output, speed of change, and defensive capabilities at the same time.
Not to mention the noise when walking. Whether it's the sound of the armored feet hitting the ground or the sound of mechanical joints turning, this shows how amazing biological joints are.
Therefore, it is not a flight mode, but rather a mode that requires the user to rely on other devices when moving on the ground or in narrow indoor spaces.
In the original design, the Duck Leopard armor—Duck Type had several omnidirectional wheels at the bottom of its webbed feet to move the armor on the ground. Leg movements were used to assist when encountering complex terrain.
However, this mobility system was quickly abandoned. There were too many problems to overcome, including the motors driving the wheels, brakes, noise, ease of maintenance, and device durability. Clearly, it was not a mature system.
In contrast, using Gravitonium to create a slightly levitating state, combined with a jet propulsion system to adjust flight posture, allows for movements similar to those of roller skates. This not only provides speed but also flexibility in changing direction.
This device can also be shared with the flight system. When providing a small amount of power, the noise level is quite low, making it difficult for the human ear to detect, which makes it the preferred choice for the Green Arrow Duck when moving on the ground.
The only problem is when you want to shoot. The reaction force of the gunshot will push the slightly airborne Green Arrow Duck backward. At this time, you have to keep adjusting your posture, or simply land so that your feet can be more stably fixed on the ground.
The Green Arrow Duck's various detection modes, including infrared thermal imaging and acoustic disturbance imaging, allow it to detect obstacles without being detected.
It's not that Kryptonian ' inherent abilities are strong enough, so they don't need to develop this kind of technology. For ordinary people wearing or remotely controlling armor, the necessary functions still need to be complete; otherwise, developing this kind of armor would be meaningless.
Considering this wasn't some trivial matter that would be shared online, Green Arrow Duck abandoned his plan to hack into the computer and track down Blade and the others. He decided to simply grab them by the tongue and interrogate them.
Using its silent, slightly floating movement, Green Arrow Duck first sneaked up behind a lone, unlucky fellow and captured him in one fell swoop!
After catching the person in a blind spot of the surveillance camera, Green Arrow Duck asked, "Quack quack quack."
"Walter?"
Oh, I forgot to switch the voice; this is the encrypted mode for talking to the Leopard Type. Switching back to normal conversation, Green Arrow Duck asked again, "Where did Dickon Thaddeus Ross go with the other Vampires?"
"OK, Robin Hood, why don't you go back to your Disneyland? Don't think I'm afraid of you just because you're hiding in a costume. Come back with an even fiercer look!"
As he spoke, the captured man punched the doll's head! Then, his seemingly fierce face broke down as the fist struck, and he almost burst into tears.
He probably didn't expect that beneath the velvet exterior wasn't a pad or other soft support, but rather hard, heavy tank-grade composite armor. The more forceful his attack, the more painful it was now.
However, Green Arrow Duck certainly wouldn't have any sympathy for this kind of person. With his left hand pinning the other person down, he held his right hand in front of the man, and the tips of his index and middle fingers extended electrodes resembling a stun gun. The blue arcs of high-voltage electricity emitted a terrifying hissing sound.
"Have you ever been shocked by the electric shock from a cattle-driving stick? Do you know why cattle run away when they're shocked? To be honest, I haven't. So please remember to tell me your experience."
As he spoke, the henchman who had been given an electric shock immediately stiffened and began to convulse uncontrollably.
Luckily, he hadn't had a chance to open his mouth to speak, so he was clenching his teeth. If he had managed to make a sound, he probably would have bitten his tongue off.
After the electricity from one of his shocks ran out, Green Arrow Duck asked again, "Where did Dickon Thaddeus Ross and his Vampires centaurs go?"
"I... I don't know," the man said with difficulty.
"What? I don't know!" Green Arrow Duck delivered another nerve-wracking punch to the man. The man, still reeling from the electric shock, could only stare wide-eyed and groan, "Eee~!"
Green Arrow Duck patted the other's face and continued, "I'll ask one last time, where did those Vampires go?"
"Fuck! Donald Duck! I fucking have no idea! I'm just a building security guard, it's just a regular job. Why would I report to them where those freaks are going?"
"Looks like he really doesn't know." Slightly disappointed, Green Arrow Duck casually unleashed another electric shock, this time knocking the person unconscious. "You're working for Vampires with a gun on your arm? You really don't know what they're up to? Don't try to make yourself sound so innocent."
Having taken down a large man, Green Arrow Duck begins searching for its next victim.
It seems that talking to ordinary patrol officers won't be of much use. They're too low-ranking; we won't get anything out of them. We need to find someone of a higher rank, or even just find a Vampires to interrogate.
Within the Green Arrow Duck's scouting range, it couldn't find the creature with the abnormal body temperature that resembled Vampires. However, by switching back to the user's original abilities, it immediately locked onto its target.
Given the route considerations, it's difficult to avoid exposure no matter how well it's planned.
Let alone those ventilation ducts that only appear in movies, where people can crawl into them. Green Arrow Duck is much larger than an average adult. Even if such a ventilation duct existed, he couldn't fit into it.
So after planning the shortest route, the Green Arrow Duck started charging forward!
Even so, he didn't let himself be exposed. Green Arrow Duck destroyed the surveillance cameras along the way before they could capture his image.
If there's a camera directly facing a corner, the moment Green Arrow Duck turns around will inevitably be exposed. He wouldn't even let someone film him with half his arm sticking out; instead, he used a ricochet to destroy the surveillance camera.
The reason we don't use intrusion to control access to the surveillance system is because to intrude, the adversary would need to have access to a computer. Their surveillance system is still an old-fashioned system with video recorders and cables—how could we possibly intrude?
These old fogies, even their stuff is old, who can they complain to?
Although the Green Arrow Duck was certain that its presence hadn't been exposed by the surveillance system, the surveillance footage was gradually becoming corrupted. Anyone in the control room who wasn't completely out of their mind knew something was wrong. So, reinforcements were already on their way.
It seems the people in the monitoring room are quite skilled. From the radio conversation intercepted by the Green Arrow Duck, we learned that the other party could determine our direction of travel simply by the order in which the monitors were damaged, and thus deduce which way we might go.
These reinforcements, of course, blocked the invaders' path. More than a dozen of them, layered upon each other, completely blocked the already narrow passage.
Fortunately, they still had some sense and gave way to their comrades' firing line. More than a dozen pistols were aimed at the corner of the passage.
