Finding a Partner
Having previously helped resolve Thena's Eternals, though not completely, he gained the friendship of three Eternals. That's why Kingo is being so enthusiastic today.
Although Henry lost track of Thena and Gilgamesh afterward, Henry never forgot to greet the Eternals Lord and exchange gifts during holidays.
Incidentally, although Henry Cavill has resigned as CEO of Stark Studios, Henry still receives a share of the operating profits from the subsidiaries he partnered with in India. Stark Studios has not reclaimed this share.
This is because Henry already enjoys a share of the profits, and this will not change regardless of whether he is the CEO or not. He had already transferred his share to the India subsidiary and no longer takes money from the California headquarters.
Unlike typical locals who cooperate with foreigners, this Eternals leader always tries to seize the other party's share, hoping to eventually kick the foreigner out and take over their technology and equipment. He always ensures that every penny of the profits is deposited into Henry's account.
So even today, Henry still receives a share of Stark Studios' profits from its India subsidiary, even though he no longer works.
With this connection, Henry and Kingo's relationship became even closer. Faced with the Eternals ' enthusiasm, the Kryptonian could easily smile and say, "My friend, I do have something I need your help with. Could you spare some time to talk about it? In person."
"Okay. Today? Are you coming over? My shooting schedule isn't very important today, so the director can shoot other people's scenes first. Come straight to my house, and try some Darjeeling tea, made using the green tea method."
"Oh, I'd better try this," Henry laughed. "Wait a moment, I'm coming over now."
After hanging up the phone, Henry soared into the sky! He ascended straight into the mesosphere, reached Mumbai, India, and then plummeted vertically. His landing spot was the front yard of Kingo's luxurious manor-style private residence.
Henry's descent certainly wouldn't have created a crater or stirred up a violent storm to make a mess of the landing site. His descent was silent, without even raising a speck of dust. Clearly, his control over flight and Biological Force Field was becoming increasingly adept.
Just as Henry was about to knock, the main door of the mansion opened first. The portly Karun Patel stood smiling by the door, greeting him warmly in English, "Mr. Brown, it's been a long time."
"Good day, Mr. Patel." It was late at night in New York, but it was morning in Mumbai. Henry smiled and said, "I didn't expect you to open the door before me."
The portly India butler from Kingo chuckled and said, "He always arrives around the same time after you finish your call. Please come in quickly; the master has already ordered water to be boiled, and he's waiting for you to have breakfast together. He's waiting for you in the Autumn Hall."
"Oh, I'm really lucky," Henry replied with a smile.
The Autumn Hall is a comfortably furnished social room within Kingo's private residence. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the autumn scenery in the courtyard. For Mumbai, located in the tropics, autumn is already the peak season; seeing winter scenery is rare.
Since she was at home, Kingo dressed casually but comfortably. Her light and loose linen long shirt was not only breathable but also ventilated, making her feel very cool.
Henry entered the Autumn Hall, and the Eternals leader immediately rose. After exchanging greetings and taking their seats, Kingo cut to the chase, asking, "Henry, you've come all this way today; it can't be for something trivial, can it?"
After Karun Patel directed the waitresses to set out a table full of breakfast, she dismissed them and stayed behind to brew a pot of green tea herself.
The two of them ate, drank, and talked all the while.
Henry asked, "Kingo, do you know any pharmaceutical companies?"
"Pharmaceutical companies? I do know some pharmaceutical company owners. I even know people who are in charge of the India operations for those world-renowned pharmaceutical companies. What, are you looking to buy some kind of miracle drug?"
"I have a drug for treating dementia and I'd like to find partners to conduct experiments on its efficacy and safety."
"Treatment for dementia?" Kingo greatly surprised. "Where did this come from?"
"Do you know the Supreme Intelligence of the Kree Empire?" Henry countered.
The Eternals was shocked and asked, "You wouldn't have stormed Hala and tried to steal the Supreme Intelligence, would you? Such a thing wouldn't appear on Earth, would it?"
Henry laughed and said, "How could that be? I found relevant research data and formulated the recipe myself. It's all still within the capabilities of Earth's technology."
"However, whether there will be any adverse side effects remains to be seen. After all, that formula was used on the Supreme Intelligence, and I cannot be 100% certain whether it can be used on humans."
Kingo looked slightly puzzled and asked, "Why do you want to study this thing?"
"You know Catherine Hepburn, right?"
"You mean that young Hollywood girl? The one who's won several Oscars for Best Actress?"
"Little girl... well, given Kingo's age, he certainly has the right to say that."
Speechless, Henry could only forget what Kingo had said and return to his own situation. "I'm currently taking care of Ms. Catherine Hepburn. She has some dementia issues, so I went to get some medication for her. I just don't know if it will be of any use."
Kingo nodded. "I understand what you mean. What are the terms of cooperation? You should know that What If...? this drug works, it will cause a huge sensation. That means the profits behind it will be considerable."
Henry said, "I don't have any specific requirements. I just need to make sure the medicine is safe for humans to take. However, in the Kree Empire, this stuff is reserved for the Supreme Intelligence."
"Each isolated brain is used approximately once every hundred years. Therefore, I cannot determine whether human consumption can cure dementia in one go, or whether it requires regular consumption."
"What If...? there are any issues with the drug's use on humans, I can cooperate in research and adjustments. As for profits, we'll see. I don't know the market rates. Authorized production in India is no problem, but I have other ideas for other regions."
After a moment's thought, Kingo said, "I do have someone suitable to introduce you to for such a request. Do you want to discuss it directly with them? I should be able to get their boss over in the next couple of days."
Henry's eyes drifted to the portly butler standing to the side, and he grinned, asking, "Mr. Patel, are you interested in earning some extra money? Or do you have someone you trust who can help me with this little favor? I can give you a 10% commission."
As he spoke, Henry took out a 3.5-inch floppy disk and placed it on the table.
Karun Patel gave a signature India- style goofy grin, neither agreeing nor refusing. It was Kingo who spoke up for him. "Karun, I remember you have a nephew who's in foreign trade. He's not doing very well, is he? Let him come and take charge of this area."
"Yes, Master." The round head bobbed from side to side before stepping forward to accept the floppy disk.
With a weight lifted from his mind, Henry began to chat. "By the way, I went to Australia in the spring. Did Gilgamesh and Thena leave their original hermitage?"
Kingo laughed and said, "Thena has been holding back for too long. Now that she's no longer plagued by madness, she wants to see the Earth of this era, so she travels around. Gilgamesh is watching her closely, just in case something unexpected happens."
"Oh, by the way, here's a phone number. You can call this satellite phone if you want to contact them. Also, where are you living now? Is your contact information still the same? If they come to the United States, please look after them for me."
Henry gave a wry smile and said, "Do those two even need taking care of? If they don't cause trouble, the others will be secretly laughing." Nevertheless, he took a note and wrote down his current address and contact information.
Kingo, having taken the slip of paper, laughed and said, "Just be a local guide, introducing us to the strange and wonderful things about New York. Our principle is to avoid trouble and stay out of the spotlight."
