"Never mind, forget I asked." Alexei gave up easily; he wasn't cut out for discussing scientific research and technology. "By the way, you said you wanted to see me about something else. What is it?"
With a whistle, the spy plane Sparrow shed its Optical Camouflage. Its slender, black fuselage was not only several sizes smaller than the square shape of the Little Duck, but also appeared quite slim.
Henry said, "This is an upgraded, autonomous version based on your usage experience, codenamed ' Sparrow.' I wanted to ask for your professional opinion to see if there are any flaws that need improvement."
"Do I have access permission?" Alexei was already familiar with the Little Duck operating system, asked directly.
"Yes, you can have temporary level one access through Little Duck. The basic operation is the same as Little Duck, only the functions are different, so the operation menu will also be different."
Because of Alexei's special needs, the retinal projection function was integrated into the contact lens, eliminating the need for separate lenses. A simple rub between his thumb and ring finger immediately brought up a menu within his field of vision.
After nearly half a year of adjustment, Alexei, who had almost fully explored the functions of the Little Duck, began to search for the functions of the Sparrow. His first glance fell on a certain item, and he asked, "There's only one type of weapon, and only one unit of ammunition. Could it be what I'm thinking?"
Henry said irritably, "This is a spy plane, not a killer phone. Why carry so many weapons? If it's discovered and can't escape, it can just self-destruct. Isn't that enough?"
"You really love self-deprecation. Have you seen a psychologist to understand your mental state?"
"I just don't want my technology to fall into other people's hands and be used against me."
"Okay. I see the Sparrow 3D imaging function is not fully unlocked. Are you saying I can't use this technology?"
"No, it's just that to use the full functionality, three machines need to be online simultaneously... Never mind, I'll let you try it out."
As Henry gave the high-pitched command, the second and third Sparrow Spy Drone appeared. In Alexei's field of vision, the Little Duck, which had been connected to one submachine, was now connected to three.
Meanwhile, the environmental modeling and monitoring feature in the Little Duck function progresses incredibly fast, completing almost in the blink of an eye.
It's important to understand that when there was only one Little Duck, it would take some time to achieve the same result, and the scope was limited. It also wasn't as sensitive to changes in the environment.
With Sparrow Collaboration, it can be started almost instantly. It also has functions such as playback and personnel recognition.
Alexei was amazed by these tactics. His battlefield acumen was unquestionable, but he didn't have a particular advantage in searching for specific targets or conducting advance reconnaissance.
Although he didn't think this ability, comparable to the Eye of God, was very important, and even thought that using it too much would cause his intuition to deteriorate.
Those with less ability might value such a feature. But for Alexei, the key is the ability to conduct preliminary reconnaissance, rather than simultaneously monitoring reconnaissance footage and moving around in reality during combat.
During this phase, the faster the Support Mech can detect targets, the faster Alexei can act, and the more sudden the attack will be for the enemy.
Without the help of the Little Duck during these past six months of operations, Alexei would have been in trouble several times over. Sometimes, he could even use the Little Duck ' attack functions to create diversions and make his offensives more successful.
This is why Alexei was able to act alone while giving the enemy the illusion of a massive enemy attack.
Having grown accustomed to the help of the Little Duck, Alexei had even more ideas about how to use the Sparrow. He didn't hold back and immediately discussed them with Henry.
Henry was certainly happy to discuss these matters and to explain them.
"Because the Sparrow's working arm uses special suction cups, it can adhere to any flat surface. This helps reduce energy consumption when stationary. And its original function is to monitor specific objects, so it doesn't need much movement."
"I'm a little curious. You don't do things without a reason. So, who are you trying to target by creating Sparrow?"
"Yeah, a bunch of brats." After explaining the recent events to Alexei, Henry said, "I don't know who's behind those kids, so I need to find out who they are so I can make some preparations and take precautions."
"If you ask me, just arrest him, beat him up, and he'll confess everything. There's no need for all that trouble. He's so young; he couldn't possibly have been trained in torture."
"Dude, he's only ten years old at most. Is it really okay for you to just beat him up like that? Aren't you afraid he'll never grow up?"
"Frankly, monitoring a child this way is no more Moral than simply beating him up. What If...? those children really have someone backing them, they can't possibly use such roundabout methods to contact and control them. Asking them will get you the information much faster than waiting."
"I'm not afraid of wasting time; I'm only worried about causing unnecessary harm. Besides, children are prone to tantrums and talking nonsense. At that point, let alone verifying the information, I might not even be able to get the child to say the same thing again."
"Fine, you're wasting your time, not mine." Alexei turned around and asked shamelessly, "Could I have a set of these Sparrow, or maybe upgrade the Little Duck, or trade with Little Duck?"
"You fickle fellow." But he still used high-frequency commands to transfer control.
Since someone could help test it, Henry was more than happy to oblige. The creation of "Sparrow" was also closely related to the recent feedback from Alexei's Little Duck users.
As for the one I need, I can just build another one. Alexei's suggestion gave me new ideas for improvement.
"By the way," Alexei asked, "Could I change their call signs? It's so boring calling them Sparrow One, Sparrow Two, and so on."
"Go ahead and change it if you want."
"Including Little Duck?"
"You can't change Little Duck's ID, because it relates to the architecture of my entire system. Sparrow's ID can be changed because the horizontal connections with other systems haven't been established yet."
"Alright. By the way, when are you going to finish crafting my battle suit? I've had it for a while now."
Henry said helplessly, "You're still not giving up? Have you encountered any enemies that require that level of weapons and equipment to defeat?"
"It's not a matter of whether I've encountered it or not. It's that with different equipment, I can do things at a different level. Give me a suit of combat gear, and tomorrow I can walk into NATO headquarters and have a heart-to-heart talk with the commander."
"So tell me, how could I dare to give you a suit of armor?"
