Henry believed he was speaking the absolute truth, unaware that the truth is often the most hurtful. Seeing Catherine Hepburn's disappointed and worried expression, he felt that his own pointless insistence seemed utterly meaningless.

In this awkward silence, Maria Stark Tom, the private nurse who had remained silent until now, broke the silence. "Catherine, I was wondering if I could go home first today. I'm a little worried..."

The old woman quickly said, "You're worried about your children, aren't you? Maria Stark, you should go home today. Let your two children go home too; making sure they're safe is more important than anything else."

"Thank you, Catherine." After receiving permission, Maria Stark Tom quickly packed her things and left.

After seeing off a mother worried about her child, Catherine Hepburn looked at the man beside her. Although he didn't say anything, his eyes seemed to say everything.

Scratching his unruly hair, Henry said, "Alright, Kate, I'll go see if I can help. In exchange, you stay home and don't go out. I'll have Skye come back and keep an eye on you."

She beckoned Henry closer. The old woman cupped Henry's face in her hands and gently kissed his forehead. "Go, child. Do your best."

With that same wry smile, Henry said, "I'll try." The man preparing to leave remembered something and said, "I'll call Skye and tell her to go home."

"Even if she didn't take the school bus, she should be back in half an hour if she walks. If she's not back yet, you'll have to urge her again. You can't leave that little brat unsupervised."

"I know."

After giving his instructions, Henry tried to call Skye on his cell phone. Sure enough, the base station was busy, rendering Henry's phone useless, and he couldn't reach the girl at school.

However, Kryptonian ' phones are not commercially available products. In particular, earlier this year they even built their own satellite and sent it into geostationary orbit over the East Coast.

Although the satellite over California had signal coverage extending to the East Coast, Henry built a second satellite as a precaution. Besides enhancing the signal, the two satellites could also serve as backups for each other.

So when the telecommunications company's base station signal was busy, Henry's phone automatically switched to its own satellite signal and connected with his girl at school.

"Hey, Henry, what's going on?" Skye asked from the other end of the phone.

Henry said quickly, "There's been a terrorist attack in New York. Don't worry about what the teachers and principal say, just tell them you're leaving early and come back as soon as possible."

"Maria Stark went home to take care of her children, leaving only Kate and Kitty at home. You need to come back and look after them. I need to go see if I can help. Is that alright?"

Girl, would you take this opportunity to run away?

A moment later, a voice came through the phone. "Okay, I'll be back soon. Is the situation at the Twin Towers bad? I can see that thick black smoke from here too."

Henry didn't answer the obvious question, but instead said, "Come back soon, don't stay out too long." He then hung up the phone and said to the old lady, "Skye will be back soon? Kate, you have to keep an eye on her. I'm leaving."

Catherine Hepburn, with her frail body, nodded firmly and said, "Be careful."

"Oh, right, I'll leave the car here. It's probably not easy to drive into the Lower Manhattan now."

The old lady was getting impatient. She waved her hand dismissively and said, "Don't be like those Deadman in the movies, rambling on and on before they die, only to get stuck at the crucial moment and just die. If you act like that, I'll beat you up."

"Alright. I'm really leaving this time." Henry, having been kicked out, carefully closed the door. As he went downstairs, he pondered what he should do about this disaster.

The option of fully utilizing one's power to save all lives is nonexistent. If that were the case, why not prevent the incident from happening before the plane crashes into the building?

The reason he intervened was simply to appease the elderly woman at home and prevent her from causing trouble. Henry, of course, did not believe he bore any responsibility for the whole affair.

Since I didn't do it myself, and I'm not part of the police or fire department, I have no obligation to step forward and help with disaster relief. At most, I can be a volunteer, go to the scene and see if there's anything I can do to help, and contribute my ordinary level of effort.

As for the specifics, we'll have to improvise on the spot. With that in mind, Henry used his Super Speed to arrive at the scene of the World Trade Center Twin Towers that had been hit.

Since the New York City Police Department is only about one kilometer away from the location, even with severe traffic congestion, the police officers managed to run there. Therefore, uniformed officers were already on site maintaining order, controlling the flow of people, and allowing people to leave but not enter.

Watching firefighters from all over arrive, clad in fire suits and wielding tools like axes, rushing into the Twin Towers one after another to rescue lives, who could have imagined that they too would become victims awaiting rescue or sacrificing their lives in about an hour?

Squeezing through the gap in the blockade, Henry saw George Stacy, the New York City Police Department Commissioner, in the midst of the crowd. He was frantically receiving a jumble of information from all sides, trying to sort out the situation and then assign rescue personnel.

Perhaps it was Henry's long hair and beard that made him stand out, because George Stacy spotted the man, who didn't belong to the police force, walking toward him at a glance.

George waved to Henry from afar and said, "No, this isn't the time. Henry, if you want to help, go to the volunteer gathering point on the outskirts. Don't come here."

George Stacy was incredibly kind of him to take the time to say these things to someone who was completely unrelated to him. So Henry decided to use his help to see if he could do more.

Henry stepped forward and said, "George, What If...? I were you, I would have the rescue team evacuate those two buildings. They're at risk of completely collapsing."

This alarmist talk naturally angered those present, who condemned Henry for talking nonsense. Especially the fire department personnel; the ones who entered the two buildings most frequently were not the police, but the firefighters.

Good advice is useless against a damned devil. Since no one believed him, Henry shrugged, adopting an indifferent attitude, and prepared to leave, content to be an ordinary volunteer. Perhaps he shouldn't have said that in the first place.

However, George Stacy wasn't about to disregard any warnings. He pushed through the crowd and called out to the man who was about to leave. "Henry, why do you say the building will collapse? What's your basis for that?"
