Background / History

Kakashi entered the Ninja Academy as the son of Konoha’s White Fang and was immediately regarded as a notable talent. He developed a competitive relationship with Tekka Uchiha, while initially doubting that Senju Jueming—whom his father called a “dragon”—could surpass him. 8 34 62

His confidence was repeatedly challenged by Jueming. Jueming defeated him in the Graduation Exam with Grass Clone techniques, later withstood Kakashi’s Lightning Release without injury, and neutralized his Enchanted Kunai in two moves. These losses forced Kakashi to recognize Jueming as the strongest among their peers. 70 95 96

During the expedition to the Land of Whirlpools ruins, Kakashi was badly wounded by the white humanoid and spiral-faced monsters.
