Four months later.

June, Konoha Year 56.

Kagami and Tobi agreed to meet once a day to confirm each other's status. After all, they were both part of Akatsuki and needed to help each other.

Of course, Tobi had been doing some things lately that he didn't want Kagami to know about, so their daily meetings were brief. They would part ways if nothing was going on.

Kagami was right. In the original story, Fugaku eventually hoped to achieve a Bloodless Revolution through Itachi, while Konoha planned to use Itachi to mediate the relationship between the Uchiha and Konoha. In short, neither side wanted a war.

Tobi let out a cold laugh.

"Why?"

Kagami asked.

Many Uchiha clan members walked out of Naka Shrine. The gathering was over, and they were preparing to return.

In Naka Shrine, before the Uchiha Clan Monument, Fugaku stood with his back to the entrance.

When Itachi walked in, he saw this scene.

"It was during the Third Shinobi World War. My friend saved my life at the cost of his own. It was born from blood and tears that I awakened my Mangekyo."

After speaking, Fugaku steered the conversation back to the stone tablet.

"This stone tablet records the Uchiha Clan's path to salvation. However, even with the Mangekyo Sharingan, I can't read the later text. It seems we can go even further. But even if we can only read part of it, you should understand the dire situation the Uchiha Clan is currently in, Itachi."

Itachi immediately retorted.

"Even so, that doesn't justify attempting to overthrow the village by force!"

Fugaku cut Itachi off directly.

"The Mangekyo Sharingan can control the Nine-Tails. If that were to become known, our Uchiha Clan would be capable of even more terrifying things."

At this point, Fugaku turned his head and used his Mangekyo to cast a genjutsu on Itachi.

In the genjutsu.

Itachi saw that the Uchiha clansmen, upon learning their father had the Mangekyo, had kidnapped Naruto and brought him before Fugaku. They spoke excitedly.

"We've brought the Jinchuriki!"

"Let's do it!"

"We'll do as the captain says!"

"Please, Captain."

"Show them the power of the Uchiha!"

Then, Fugaku activated his Mangekyo, released the Nine-Tails, and caused it to rampage, inflicting immense damage on the village.

The genjutsu ended.

Itachi knelt on the ground in disbelief.

"How could this be..."

Fugaku continued.

"Many in the clan harbor resentment towards the village. If pushed too far, they would absolutely do something like this. Both sides would suffer heavy losses. But Itachi, with you, we can control the higher-ups when they least expect it. While small-scale conflict is unavoidable, if you, as an Anbu, lend your aid, a Bloodless Revolution can succeed."

"Itachi, you are my son. Please, help the clan!"

This was the path Fugaku laid out for Itachi: would he help Konoha suppress the Uchiha, or help the Uchiha achieve a Bloodless Revolution? Itachi had to make a choice.

Itachi left, leaving Fugaku alone.

But then, from the darkness, Kagami, clad in an Akatsuki robe, emerged.

"Clan Head, what do you think Brother Itachi will choose?"

Fugaku was not surprised by Kagami's appearance.

Kagami nodded, then retreated back into the darkness.

Although Kagami had never dared to interact too much with Itachi due to his Anbu identity, he had already made contact with Fugaku. Fugaku was aware of his existence.

Today, I saw some friends say that Kagami's Mangekyo Sharingan is too complex and could even be considered an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. I've also thought about this issue. Yes, it's true, this is my fault. I chose a rather complex one initially. I apologize to everyone.
