Background / History

White Deer Immortal originates from the Thirty-six Heavens. The Queen Mother of the West entrusted her with Qing Shi and Bai Yu: Chaos Stones left by Nüwa during the mending of heaven, later refined into a pair of lover immortal stones and delivered to the Pure Yang Emperor. 5

Though she is addressed as a Supreme Immortal and is a Golden Immortal, she serves as Ancestor Lu's white deer mount. Their relationship is openly contentious; Ancestor Lu belittles and physically disciplines her, while she protests that he treats her worse than Donghua. 5 6

Her central responsibility is ensuring Qing Shi and Bai Yu safely undergo their mortal tribulations and ascend. Their success would complete her mission, enable Donghua's resurrection, and allow her to face her own Nine Transformations Loose Immortal Tribulation with security. 7 28

White Deer Immortal is proud, temperamental, and highly conscious of her status, frequently referring to herself as “this Supreme Immortal.” She reacts violently to mockery or frustration, once butting Chen Tuan into flower bushes and attempting to devour three karmically significant roses when she lost the opportunity to claim them. 5 8

Despite this arrogance, she is deeply attached to Qing Shi and Bai Yu. She repeatedly seeks favorable karmic arrangements for them, becomes distressed by their suffering, and risks heavenly punishment by intervening in Bai Yu's mortal life. 7 21 23
