Rolling his eyes, Ronglin closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair.
"Ah?!"
Shizune was dumbfounded again, her adorably vacant expression leaving people unsure whether to laugh or cry.
"But Fourth Hokage, this is Lord Hokage's order."
What was she supposed to do if Ronglin refused to go?
Shizune immediately grew anxious.
"She's the Hokage, not me. Tell her to discuss it with someone else. I don't have time—I'm busy sunbathing."
Ronglin turned to one side and lazily waved his hand, refusing to look at Shizune's pretty face as it twisted into a bitter melon expression.
"Yes..."
With a miserable little face, Shizune could only leave in frustration and return to the Hokage's Office Building to relay Ronglin's words to Tsunade.
"My lord, are you really not going?"
After Shizune left, Uchiha Diqin crouched down and asked softly. Ronglin opened his eyes and shook his head.
"No. I don't have that kind of free time. I've been gone for ten years, and Konoha basically doesn't need me to do anything anymore. Rather than waste time, I'd rather spend more effort figuring out my own affairs."
He raised a hand, and a mass of red Chakra appeared in his palm, flickering like flames.
This was the Chakra Ronglin had drawn from the Nine-Tails.
Though he had been gone for ten years, before leaving, Ronglin had already laid Konoha's foundations firmly.
No matter who took office, as long as they did not make mistakes, they could keep Konoha developing steadily and moving forward.
Ronglin was not wrong either. Konoha truly did not need him to meddle with anything now. He had already done everything he needed to do; what Konoha lacked was time to develop.
Uchiha Diqin fell silent and sighed softly. This was the result of having the road ahead
