Arc 105The Prison Approach

Angel questioned Day about Abyss clans and the dangers ahead, then led the group through the One-Eyed Wraiths and toward the Stairway of the Hanging Prison. After retrieving a pendant linked to Sanders, they entered the sewer and found evidence of an ancient Demon God follower, while hidden figures noticed their arrival.

  • Angel learned from Day that Night was the sole known descendant in his branch of the Dantin Clan, then questioned him about the Stairway of the Hanging Prison and the Three-Eyed Blue Demon.
  • Angel and his companions reached the plaza crowded with One-Eyed Wraiths and chose Dox’s route through the inspection court and dark alley.
  • Angel spotted a special One-Eyed Wraith wearing a pendant marked with the Igulo Family crest and suspected it had been made from Sanders’s lost dagger.
  • Angel used Ermi to learn how to draw One-Eyed Wraiths into shadow fusion, then took the pendant and replaced it with a disguised copy while the wraiths cultivated.
  • Dox reconciled with his inspiration as the group reached a foul labyrinthine passage, and Angel gave them a booklet about One-Eyed Wraith fusion.
  • Angel led the group through a sewer toward the Stairway of the Hanging Prison and showed them a corpse identified as a ten-thousand-year-old formal wizard and Demon God follower.

Arc 106Xixia’s Casket

Angel led the group through a hidden passage to Xixia’s Casket, where he won passage by offering treasured items and introduced Xixia to Bobota in the Dream Wilderness. Arc 107The Search for the Wood Spirit

Angel and his companions passed through the Wise Sovereign’s hall to search the ruined Stairway of the Hanging Prison for the Wood Spirit. • Angel followed his separate red mark to the Stairway of the Hanging Prison, while Xixia returned to Pat Manor and shared fried rice with Mana before warning Angel that her information about the Wood Spirit was six years old.
  • Angel and his companions found the hidden exit, encountered the Wise Sovereign, and learned they could search for Augustine’s legacy if they first tried to find and rescue the Wood Spirit.
  • Angel sent Black Earl into the Stairway, then entered with Kael and used an immersive illusion to let the others follow and observe without entering the real ruin.
  • Angel discovered that the first-floor prison room had powered Abyss City’s magic array by draining a nature wizard, then found a painting concealing a log made by or derived from the Wood Spirit.
  • Angel shaped the log into a cane, whose emblem and resonance drew the Wise Sovereign’s suspicion and seemed to point toward the Wood Spirit’s location.
  • Angel and Kael explored the void, where Kael detected increasingly chaotic spatial energy and a newly formed rift near the core node, so Angel withdrew from the spreading danger zone.
  • Angel returned exhausted and continued along the right-hand path, while the Wise Sovereign watched him and Angel suspected the Wood Spirit had shifted the cane’s resonance to lure him away from the dangerous left path.
