Background / History

The current Imu is a transmigrator who entered the body of the original Imu. Before transmigrating, he was an ordinary person; afterward, he spent a prolonged period in the Moon Chamber adapting to the body's strength and processing more than eight centuries of inherited memories. 3 During his first year, he focused on mastering his powers; during the second, he held repeated late-night meetings with the Five Elders to address the Great Pirate Era and reform the World Government's operations. 278

Imu rules from seclusion in the Moon Chamber of Pangaea Castle, a location known only to successive Five Elders. The Five Elders serve as both his appointed agents and the channel through which he exercises control over the World Government. 10 He considers the previous Imu's stagnant, force-based governance a major source of the Government's dysfunction, but refuses to strip the Celestial Dragons of their privileged status because they remain the foundation of his political power. 10

His encounter with King Enma opened his path into the Underworld. Initially assessed as weaker than King Enma, Imu entered Hell in soul form, learned its rules, and began eliminating hostile demons. 284 299 He eventually seized the Sea Star Underworld's lordship, acquired Death Clergy divine power, and installed Yama as the Yomi Hell Wushen to administer it. 1004

Personality

Despite his position at the top of the world, Imu suffers from isolation. He recognizes that the Moon Chamber and his hidden identity make ordinary companionship nearly impossible, leading him to actively seek a partner while struggling with the timing and consequences of doing so. 18 He later shows more restraint, deliberately placing the World Government's interests above personal desire when deciding the roles of powerful women such as Otsutsuki Kaguya and Stussy. 1261 2444
