William and Umbrella confronted a barrier around Egypt, where John discovered that Anubis was judging humanity and persuaded him to give it another chance. The barrier vanished, but the crisis revealed that Earth still held several God-class anomalies, leaving Umbrella to consider evacuation and prepare new defenses.

• William and Halsey raised Yelena and Ivan while Umbrella expanded its fleets, colonies, and space infrastructure, and Halsey arranged Ivan’s Spartan training on Minos.
• Serena reported a red barrier over Egypt, and William sent John, Blue Team, and Shark Company inside to investigate the vanished Cairo and its undead forces.
• John and Michel rescued captives from the Ghost Soldiers, then John’s team saw Anubis’s servants judge people and turn the condemned into Skeleton Soldiers before retreating with survivors.
• William launched the Godslayer operation with Umbrella and UNSC forces, and the God Body Squad defeated the giant Anubises guarding the fissure without removing the barrier.
• John descended through the fissure and reached Duat, where Anubis explained his judgment of humanity and considered cleansing Earth.
• John argued for humanity’s future while Cortana showed Anubis evidence of human progress, and Anubis gave humanity another chance before returning them to Cairo.

Xia was adopted by Andre, while Ivan and Yelena returned to school; the arc leaves Umbrella investigating the deadly Weeping Angels at Hagia Sophia.

• Halsey explained the mind- and telekinesis-disrupting alloy, and William named it 148 before Umbrella outfitted its forces with it.
• Kent took Ivan to observe the operation against the Immortal Giant Lizard, which Athena and the Spartans restrained and Umbrella transferred to secure containment.
• Cortana test-flew the Assault prototype, and William later took Halsey and Yelena to Minos to bring Ivan on a family trip to Venice.
• Ivan fought off Star of Light Armed Cultists attacking St. Mark’s Basilica and rescued Xia, who told him that the church intended to sacrifice her as a witch.

Umbrella tested the recovered objects and secured the angel inside the guardian before William took the fleet to investigate alien ruins on Kepler-22b.

• William reviewed Umbrella’s containment files and learned that Ivan possessed the Demigod trait while Yelena’s full abilities would emerge at eighteen.
• William sent Maken and Hott to investigate interference on Venus, where they found a giant sword-bearing guardian standing before a gate.
• Maken tested the guardian with D-Class personnel and a drone, and Halsey concluded that an AT Shield could resist its attacks.
• William and Serena entered the Garden of Eden while John commanded the Spartans against the guardian, and William stole one fruit from each of two unusual trees.
• Mylon removed the guardian’s Red Sphere, and Umbrella technicians opened it to recover a four-winged angel whom William enrolled through a Confidentiality Agreement.

After Umbrella sealed the Kepler-22b project, civil war erupted in the Middle East, and Andre led an assault on Baghdad to capture the Rebels’ suspected ancient weapon.

• Serena and William discovered a teleportation device in the Kepler-22b ruins, and Halsey identified the ancient civilization’s links to other worlds and a dangerous realm beyond its gates.
• William’s reconnaissance team encountered Shadows that resisted ordinary weapons, and Halsey’s research showed that sincere prayer and silver weapons could destroy them.
• William led an assault on the Shadow creatures’ flesh mass with Athena and Umbrella forces, but a gravity anomaly transported his unit and Serena to Hell.
