Chapter 56: What's Wrong with a Father Clinging to His Son? / Chapter 57: The Nameless Mist
"Forget it. If he's dead, then he's dead. Speaking of which, I've always found it strange that false myths like the 'Cthulhu Mythos' could give birth to a Demon God."
"...The other Demon Gods had always been suspicious of him as well. Now that he's dead, that's for the best. We no longer need to waste any thought on him."
"Since he was the Forgotten God, then from now on, let him be forgotten forever!"
Bishop Saint said indifferently.
The death of a Demon God was not enough to cause even the slightest ripple in his emotions. After all, splitting oneself infinitely was an extremely dangerous act.
It would give an immortal Demon God the true concept of death.
And since all the Demon Gods had agreed to this decision, each individual would have to bear the consequences.
Compared to the Forgotten God, Bishop Saint was more concerned about the other Demon Gods.
"Only you, Zombie, and I finally descended into Academy City?"
Bishop Saint asked again.
Zombie nodded her tiny head. Her stitched-shut mouth did not open, yet a very serious, shrill child's voice came from within it. "...And the Forgotten God."
"He's already dead!"
Bishop Saint reminded her again.
Zombie nodded hard as well and repeated Bishop Saint's words in an adorable voice. "...Mm, he's already dead."
Then the two Demon Gods stood there in speechless silence.
Hadn't everyone agreed to come together to seize the right hand of the God of Christianity? Why had only the three of them finally descended into Academy City?
And one of them had been inexplicably killed.
"Cackle, cackle, cackle! I really couldn't trust them from the start!"
Bishop Saint opened his corpse-dry mouth and let out hideous laughter.
The Demon Gods were a group of deities who did as they pleased.
