Each of these multi-turreted war chariots weighed over a hundred tons and possessed extremely thick armor. They also utilized a certain amount of crystal energy and formation techniques, allowing for incredible speed and exceptionally agile maneuvering.
Each chariot featured three massive cannon barrels arranged in a triangular pattern. From their dark muzzles, a faint glint of cold light flickered. These were the most powerful land-based instruments of war created by humanity during the Era of Dharma Decline, possessing a despair-inducing destructive power.
When Yin Xuege arrived at this factory district, over two hundred colossal war chariots had already charged onto the streets. They were rapidly advancing along the main roads and alleyways, heading towards the citizen square where intense fighting was occurring, to provide reinforcements. Sander and Fennice stood atop the turrets of separate chariots, loudly issuing commands and urging the vehicles to pick up speed.
The ferocious aura emanating from these war chariots caused Yin Xuege's heart to clench. Although the Yin Clan's Blood Servant army possessed formidable combat strength, and their battle armor could easily withstand fire from human small-caliber weapons, they were as fragile as tofu when facing these metal behemoths weighing over a hundred tons!
These terrifying behemoths absolutely could not be allowed to reach the reinforcements!
Yin Xuege let out a long roar, shouting sternly, "Block them with all your might! Push over all the nearby smokestacks and obstruct their path!"
Eight bloody figures surged forth from Yin Xuege's shadow. The Yin Clan's Marquises simultaneously spat out fist-sized blood-red orbs, which then emitted dense blood mist to envelop them. These blood-red orbs were secret artifacts of the Yin Clan, functioning as miniature, mobile 'Blood Mist Barriers.' Carrying these blood-red orbs allowed members of the Yin Clan to evade damage from sunlight, enabling them to move and fight freely!
This was the factory district of Fanlu'er City, filled with giant smokestacks reaching hundreds of meters into the sky and massive factory buildings. The eight Yin Clan Marquises revealed themselves, immediately unleashing a bloody tempest. The terrifying fluctuations of blood demon energy spread outwards like a tsunami, distorting gravity within a thousand-meter radius, causing countless bricks and stones to fly into the air.
"My gods, high-level Blood Demons!" Sander and Fennice watched in despair as eight blood-red figures hovered in mid-air. Their bodies trembled violently, intimidated by the terrifying aura exuded by the Yin Clan Marquises. Their minds went blank; they even forgot who they were.
Dozens of giant smokestacks nearby collapsed simultaneously, huge blocks of stone whistling down from high above. Dozens more massive factory buildings were toppled, completely blocking the surrounding streets. These colossal war chariots were unable to surmount the debris of buildings tens of meters high.
Even more terrifying was that two Yin Clan Marquises joined forces to uproot a small steel smelting furnace. They let out piercing shrieks and, working together, tilted the small furnace, pouring it down towards the entrance of the underground fortress.
The rolling molten steel poured into the entrance of the underground fortress, splashing everywhere. Screams of agony and cries of pain echoed from all directions.
With a bang, the factory district, spanning several thousand meters, trembled. A factory building hundreds of meters away suddenly flew tens of meters into the air. The ground beneath it bulged upwards, like a rising steamed bun.
This underground fortress was Fanlu'er City's arsenal, storing heavy weaponry and a vast amount of ammunition. It was unknown how many weapons were stored within. These two Yin Clan Marquises, seeking only immediate gratification, had poured that furnace of molten steel into it, instantly detonating the stored weapons.
"Damn it, we've gone too far!" One Yin Clan Marquis rushed over, grabbing Yin Xuege by the collar. In the next instant, he had whisked Yin Xuege into the sky, and within a few blinks, they were a thousand meters high!
A dazzling light flashed across Sander and Fennice. They seemed to have crushed a small scroll, and then they vanished without a trace. The factory district below, spanning several thousand meters, suddenly cracked open. The earth was lifted nearly a hundred meters high, followed by countless pillars of fire erupting into the sky. Accompanied by deafening explosions, countless smokestacks, buildings, and blast furnaces shattered, and molten steel sprayed everywhere.
Countless blindingly hot streams of molten metal shot through the sky. The eight Yin Clan Marquises formed a protective circle around Yin Xuege and then simultaneously expressed their thoughts.
"All the metal smelting plants in Fanlu'er City are finished! The Great Berlin City-State will have significant problems with its metal supply! Within the next year, the Great Berlin City-State will not have enough metal!"
In this chaotic era, humanity fought against Blood Demons and vied for survival space with Demonic Beasts and Demonic Birds. The consumption of various weapons was astonishingly high. The Great Berlin City-State, having lost its sufficient metal supply, would see its war potential plummet drastically. This could even lead to the decline of the entire Great Berlin City-State!
"They were too careless! They should have dispatched a few Grand Arbiters here!" One Yin Clan Marquis sneered mockingly. "Even if there was just one Grand Arbiter-level expert, none of us here could have done anything! But they actually only sent these little guys!"
A faint, deep cyan light shimmered in Yin Xuege's pupils. He looked outwards and quickly spotted Sander and Fennice fleeing in disarray on the plains outside Fanlu'er City! Yin Xuege lowered his head, looked at the ground where continuous explosions were still occurring, and then pointed towards the fleeing Sander and Fennice.
"Chase them! Sander's lifeblood is mine! As for that little girl named Fennice, leave her to Wumu!"
The Yin Clan Marquises let out sharp, unpleasant laughter again, then they took off in streaks of blood-red light, carrying Yin Xuege as they rapidly pursued.
Sander and Fennice's strength was far inferior to these Yin Clan Marquises. They had only managed to flee a few hundred meters before Yin Xuege and the others caught up and hovered above them. With a swish, Yin Xuege descended from high above, landing lightly in front of the two.
Flicking the Blood Spirit Sword with his finger, Yin Xuege smiled and bowed to the ashen-faced Sander and Fennice.
"It's been over a month since we last met, hasn't it? I wonder if you still remember me? You were kind enough to host me when we were in the Great Berlin City-State."
Yin Xuege looked at Fennice with a smile and said sincerely, "I've been pondering how to repay your kindness! Look, the opportunity has come so quickly!"
Sander stepped forward, blocking Fennice. He glared at Yin Xuege, gritting his teeth and cursing, "You filthy, despicable Vampire! I truly regret not crushing you into dust, inch by inch, with lightning that day!"
As soon as Sander finished speaking, a hoarse, sinister voice suddenly came from not far away.
"Perhaps we can fulfill your wish, you despicable human! Is this little fellow called Yin Xuege?"
A viscous blood-red barrier covered an area of about a li. The eight Yin Clan Marquises quickly flashed, surrounding Yin Xuege in the center.
They all looked in the direction of the voice—three elders, dressed in ancient Western courtly attire, with pale faces and skin covered in wrinkles, appearing to be at least a hundred years old, stood on a small hill a hundred meters away, looking down upon them.
Suddenly, their clothes behind them burst open, and they simultaneously unfurled a pair of deep crimson bat wings.
