Background / History
Jing Wufeng entered the Great Abyss through a spatial rift as part of the Tianyi Trial. Its first stage required him to reach the Nascent Soul Realm within a designated province and complete a difficult mission; only one trial participant was permitted within each provincial boundary. He chose Yuan Province in part to see the ocean for the first time. 340 341
While crossing Ten Thousand Demon Valley, his foreign aura attracted the Demonized Stone-Heart Dragon. He initially concealed himself in the shallow void, but Lan Chang’an exposed his presence and withdrew, leaving Jing to escape the dragon through his spatial and wind-based arts. Jing later caught up with Lan, traded a Fourth-Order dragon claw and scale for information about the Great Abyss, and proposed jointly hunting the dragon. 341
More than twenty years later, Jing reunited with Lan in Yuntian City. Seeking the Stone Dragon Heart and Essence Spirit Great Pill needed for Lan’s Earth Rock Rat, they entered a Third-Order Spirit Contract and Heart Demon Oath: Jing would help hunt the dragon, while Lan would later assist in sealing a demonic-qi leak in the Central Region. 349
The pair successfully killed the Demonized Stone-Heart Dragon through Jing’s formation and spatial arts, Lan’s puppets and spirit pets, and coordinated restraint. Jing survived the dragon’s Petrification Divine Ability by using a life-saving secret art, though his magic power and vitality were severely depleted. 350 351
Jing later entered the Ancient Nether Palace, where he was among the few Golden Core survivors and gained opportunities significant enough to attract the attention of Nascent Soul cultivators. Afterward, he formed a Nascent Soul in the relatively neutral Pill Dao Alliance and became known for defeating two veteran Nascent Soul cultivators alone. 359 361
He eventually called in Lan’s promised assistance for the Seal Demon Pact. The two faced seven hostile Nascent Soul True Lords, fought through shifting alliances and betrayals, and successfully repaired the key channels leaking demonic qi in the Endless Demon Abyss. 390 392 399
Appearance
Jing Wufeng is commonly seen in a green silk robe, with pale cyan or pale green pupils and an easygoing, unrestrained bearing. 349 390
- Above-average, pleasing appearance. 390
- Uses an exceptional transformation technique capable of changing his face, clothing, and bearing without detectable flaws. 350
- His green-robed appearance and spatial techniques became widely recognized after his rise in the Central Region. 472
Personality
Jing is guarded about his origins and the rules of the Tianyi Trial, but generally deals with allies directly. His agreements with Lan Chang’an are framed around explicit compensation, reciprocal obligations, and formal oaths rather than empty assurances. 341 349 392
He is highly pragmatic in combat and competition. Though capable of confronting powerful opponents directly, he exploits mobility, formations, terrain, timing, and hidden preparations to secure victory. During the second Tianyi Trial round, he repeatedly interrupted True Lord Baolian’s cultivation rather than allowing her to win through faster advancement. 452 455
Despite his caution, Jing is willing to take risks that Lan avoids, especially when they advance his standing in the Tianyi Trial. He entered the Ancient Nether Palace to prepare for prospects beyond Nascent Soul and later pursued the dangerous Seal Demon mission. 359 385

Trivia
- Jing’s origins cannot be reliably deduced; Lan Chang’an’s attempts to divine them produced only obscured heavenly secrets. 349 475
- He is unusually unconcerned with conventional Nascent Soul resources such as the Infant Transformation Pill, suggesting access to higher-quality alternatives through the Tianyi Sect. 349
- Jing’s cultivation, knowledge, and trial status led Lan to suspect that he came from a Spirit Transformation holy land long before his Tianyi Sect affiliation was confirmed. 349 473 475
- His conspicuous ride through the sea region on the Ink Water Qilin accidentally made him the primary suspect in True Lord Ming Shui’s death. 472
