Albert prepared for the Second Task while Voldemort’s return, the Ministry’s failures, and the Triwizard Tournament drew the wizarding world into greater danger. He helped expose Little Barty Crouch as Moody, then explored the Black Lake with Fred and George and encountered Grindylows.

• Albert celebrated Christmas with Isobel, returned to Hogwarts, and danced with Katrina and several other girls at the Yule Ball.
• Albert warned friends and family that Britain would soon be unsafe, while Dumbledore confronted Voldemort and learned that Peter Pettigrew and Little Barty Crouch were still at large.
• Sirius revealed Peter’s escape and the evidence of Voldemort’s return, prompting a public scandal that left Fudge facing demands to resign.
• Albert prepared for the Second Task with the Bubblehead Charm, advised Harry about the Golden Egg, and helped Fred, George, and Lee Jordan plan their products and publicity.
• Albert used his crystal ball to locate Peter in the Netherlands and then revealed that Little Barty Crouch had been arrested, before exposing the disguised Moody as Little Barty and helping Dumbledore capture him.
• Albert succeeded in Apparition class while Fred Splinched himself, and Albert later agreed to take Shanna to Hogsmeade.
• Albert explored the Black Lake with Fred and George, met the Mermen with Moaning Myrtle, and led the group away from their village as Grindylows pursued them.

Albert rescued Isobel from the Black Lake, then focused on combat training and preparing for the danger he expected in the Third Task. He warned Dumbledore that Voldemort would return soon and offered to help destroy the Horcruxes in exchange for Dumbledore teaching him everything he knew.

• Albert and his friends escaped a Grindylow attack in the Black Lake, and he later used an Underwater Thruster to reach the Mermen Village and rescue Isobel during the Second Task.
• Albert won the Second Task with fifty points, while Harry rescued Ron and Gabrielle but ran out of strength before reaching the surface on his own.
• After sensing that the Third Task could put his life at risk, Albert sought combat training and studied with Flitwick and McGonagall, while Sirius and Lupin trained Harry.
• Hermione suspected Rita Skeeter was an illegal beetle Animagus, and Albert admitted he had deterred Rita by threatening to arrange a bounty that would send her to St. Mungo's.
• Albert and Flitwick fought a fierce duel in the wilderness near Hogwarts, where Albert disarmed Flitwick before a wandless attack sent him flying.
• Albert and Isobel bought a remote villa to renovate as a private home and planned to prepare an expanded sailing boat as an escape route.
• Albert passed the Apparition test, assessed himself as a Level Four wizard, and remained wary of Little Barty and Voldemort's return.

Albert exposed Fake Moody’s plot during the Third Task and helped reveal Voldemort’s return, then withdrew from the Order while protecting his family and preparing for a wizarding duelling competition. After Albert’s early victories made him a public contender, Voldemort ordered an attempt on his life during the competition.

• Albert warned Amelia Bones about Voldemort’s return and advised her to lie low, while Little Barty Crouch prepared to use the Third Task to deliver Harry to Voldemort.
• Albert entered the maze with a plan to expose the hidden Death Eater, defeated Viktor Krum and Fake Moody, and restrained the professors who attacked him.
• Albert returned with the Portkey trophy as Amelia Bones vanished after touching it, then left for the airport with Isobel and Nia while Dumbledore went to rescue Harry.
• Voldemort returned using Harry’s blood, but Harry escaped through a Portkey, and Albert later refused to join the Order of the Phoenix while warning Dumbledore about its security and the Ministry.
• Fudge recruited Percy Weasley and appointed Umbridge to Hogwarts, while the Weasleys joined the Order and began circulating Defence Guide and planning radio broadcasts.
• Albert brought Katrina to Rose Manor for safety, then travelled with Isobel and Katrina to France, where he drove away Peter Pettigrew and Selwyn and told Nicolas and Perenelle that he and Isobel had chosen France for their wedding.
• Albert entered Spain’s International Wizard Duelling Competition and won his first matches, drawing attention from newspapers and prompting Isobel to worry that his growing fame would make him a target.
• Voldemort ordered Lucius Malfoy, Peter Pettigrew, and Selwyn to kill Albert during the competition, while Snape offered Polyjuice Potion to conceal the operation.

Albert survived a Death Eater assassination attempt, defeated Voldemort in the Duelling Championship, and helped the Order expose the Ministry’s efforts to expel Harry. With Umbridge installed at Hogwarts, Albert and the students began resisting her lessons and interference.

• Malfoy hired Carter to impersonate a contestant and attack Albert, but Albert survived, and Sirius killed Peter Pettigrew after the Order ambushed the Death Eaters.
• Albert defeated Voldemort in the championship duel with Dumbledore’s help, forcing Voldemort to flee and leaving him determined to kill Albert.
• Umbridge sent Dementors to attack Harry, but Harry drove them off with a Patronus, and the Wizengamot later dismissed the Ministry’s charge against him.
• Albert warned Isobel and Katrina about Umbridge’s appointment and helped Sirius’s allies broadcast criticism of the Ministry and its new Hogwarts professor.
• Umbridge’s first days at Hogwarts brought pranks and student protests, while Albert advised students and refused to attend her advanced Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
• Fred, George, and Lee Jordan led students in dropping Umbridge’s class, and Hermione proposed a Defence Against the Dark Arts Study Group as Harry sought Sirius’s help.
