Background / History
Big Babylon was the Bloody Hoof Tribe's top enforcer and an elite warrior hardened by countless battles. More than a decade before the tribe's contact with Allen, Old Zak briefly passed the Chieftain's position to him while injured. Babylon comprehended a Barbarian Battle Ring that same night, but relinquished the role when Old Zak recovered. 28 80
Bloody Hoof Chieftain Zack sent Big Babylon to infiltrate Outpost County under cover of darkness. Accompanied by Little Zack, he entered through the north gate, became lost while reading a map, and searched for Dina, whom the tribe regarded as one of their own. 26 27 30
In Outpost County, he overwhelmed several Faith Guardian Knights, killing two Battle Qi users despite their blades piercing his semi-petrified skin. He then fought Sakre until Allen subdued him with a joint lock. Captured alongside Little Zack, Babylon eventually revealed what he knew of Dina's past after Allen threatened him and Dina fed him. 28 29 30
After returning to the tribe, he declined Allen's offer of the Netherflame Skeleton Ring because he believed it would not improve his own strength. He instead pursued Battle Qi training, becoming the first known Barbarian warrior on the continent to cultivate it. 77 84
Babylon supported Allen's elevation as Bloody Hoof Chieftain and publicly swore to follow him for the glory of the tribe and the Barbarians. 87 As the tribe expanded, he became one of Allen's principal combatants, scouts, captor-guards, and battlefield leaders. 93 109 135 216
Appearance
Big Babylon is a towering, bald Barbarian warrior, over two metres tall, with a massive build, bulging muscles, tribal tattoos, and unusually durable skin. 28 93 125
- Initially wore a patched deerskin skirt, tunic, and worn boots with exposed toes. 27 28
- Has a raspy, cracked-bell voice and a rugged, intimidating expression. 28
- Later adopted black full-body armor made by dwarves, fitted with steel spikes, chest nails, and twin back-mounted blades. 121 125
- Often wears or rides his Horned Winged Python; in its small form, it resembles a green scarf around his neck. 121 142
- In battle, he has worn heavy armor, War God totem banners, a refined steel mace, and carried the Horned Winged Python as a weapon. 175
Personality
Big Babylon is direct, proud, and battle-hungry. His first instinct is often to meet danger head-on, yet he can follow Allen's plans when stealth, patience, or intelligence gathering are necessary. 213 214
Though often dismissed as slow-witted, he is not simply foolish. He worries about retaliation against the tribe, recognizes the strategic danger posed by human and Behemoth forces, and gradually broadens his knowledge through books, armor craftsmanship, and life in the Bloody Hoof Camp. 85 92 214 216
His loyalty to the tribe deepened after Allen improved its living conditions, education, and prospects. During the Lion Tribe conflict, Babylon chose to remain behind with other warriors to cover the retreat, determined to protect the tribe's newfound hope. 109
Abilities & Skills
Exceptional Barbarian Physique
Big Babylon possesses immense natural strength, toughness, and combat endurance.
- A Faith Guardian Knight's greatsword striking his shoulder rang like metal against metal. 28
- Golden Battle Qi-infused swords penetrated only half an inch into his body. 28
- He killed two Battle Qi knights by seizing their necks and squeezing. 28
- His kick shattered Sakre's crossed swords and forced Sakre backward. 28
- He can send grown opponents flying with a single punch. 348
Battle-Hardened Combat
As a veteran elite warrior, Babylon fights effectively against groups and does not rely on refined human martial forms.
- Easily defeated Faith Guardian Knights in Outpost County. 28
- Engaged Sakre in a brutal close-quarters brawl after both fighters lost focus during their initial clash. 29
- Knocked out four Lion Tribe elite warriors while covering the Bloody Hoof retreat. 109
- Led Bloody Hoof warriors against Qi Warriors, whose Battle Qi-infused weapons could not penetrate tribal armor. 132
- Helped Allen eliminate and capture Lion-Tiger Imperial Guards during their Behemoth encampment operation. 214 216
Barbarian Battle Ring
Babylon can invoke a unique Barbarian Battle Ring after calling upon the War God Kakarou.
- A black, totem-like halo manifests beneath his feet. 29
- The Battle Ring enhances his combat power. 29
- Dina can suppress the Battle Ring, preventing him from breaking restraints. 30
- He comprehended it after briefly becoming Chieftain, an opportunity normally associated with tribal chieftains. 80
Autonomous Battle Qi
Babylon's Battle Qi is an unprecedented form of the human technique among Barbarians.
- Manifests as a faint white glow. 84
- Developed after he deliberately endured a beating from ten tribal warriors while forcing himself beyond physical limits. 84
- Possesses apparent self-awareness, gathering at points about to be struck rather than requiring conscious direction. 84
- Is documented as first-stage Battle Qi. 130
Guardian-Beast Handling
Babylon formed a bond with a Horned Winged Python and uses it as both mount and weapon.
- The python can shrink to less than two metres long or assume a combat form over twenty metres long. 121
- Babylon can wield its horned body like a whip. 121
- He later rode it into battle in its larger form. 142
- The python has protected him by coiling around and constricting attacking knights. 433
