Background / History

Yan Feng is the current name of the being once known as the Ice Flame Saint Child. He has rebuilt himself through six lifetimes, taking different names in each life; he chose “Yan Feng” for his future ventures in the Universe. 442

In his first life, he was the eldest son of the Extreme Flame Saint Emperor and a Saint Prince of the Truth God Nation. That life was his strongest: he reached Eternal King level, with the strength of a six-time transformed King. 634 796 1083 His father was erased by The Only God, after which six Kings led by Crimson Moon King attacked Yan Feng and his clan to seize the late emperor's relics. 1055

The repeated failures and losses of his six lives left him reserved and focused on rebuilding his strength. He initially concealed his true history, presenting himself to outsiders as a newly transformed special being born from a local volcano. 474 681

After returning to Earth with Qin Heng, Xuan Nie, and Yu Ling, Yan Feng divided his origin between Fire and Ice Bodies. He secluded himself in Antarctica to repair his ice-attributed origin through Ice Origin and cold-attribute treasures. 469 471 527

Appearance

Yan Feng's appearance changes according to the body or origin he manifests.

  • Original essence — A bodiless mass of pure ice-and-fire power; his realm cannot be easily discerned in this state. 442
  • Flame Body — A magma-like body that can be covered in simulated human skin; it is approximately 1.4 meters tall and resembles a young girl. 469 527
  • Ice Body — A 1.7-meter-tall, androgynous human-like form with snow-white skin, ice-blue hair, transparent wrists and ankles, and semi-translucent light-blue limbs. 527
  • Merged battle form — Combines his two bodies, appearing half icy blue and half crimson red, with ice and fire visible in his eyes. 801

Personality

Yan Feng is cold, composed, and inwardly proud. He prefers solitary cultivation to public recognition, considers the title of “Heavenly Chosen” a nuisance, and avoids joining sects or clans because he dislikes binding obligations. 638 681

His restraint comes from experience rather than indifference. He has endured six lifetimes of failure and loss, making him practical about revenge: he believes strength must come before vengeance. 467 796 He is nevertheless deeply loyal to Qin Heng and his companions, and he is sincerely pleased by their achievements rather than jealous of them. 927 1195

Despite his aloof manner, Yan Feng protects weaker beings when he can. He helped an ice flower gain sentience, guided it within Qin Heng's Immortal Mansion, and explained that he pitied it because he had once been protected while weak. 652 655

Abilities & Skills

Dual Ice-and-Fire Origin

Yan Feng possesses separate origins of ice and fire, which can operate as distinct bodies or merge for combat.

  • His Fire Body can remain on Earth while his Ice Body travels or cultivates elsewhere. 466
  • He repaired his ice origin beneath Antarctica's Eternal Ice Glacier by absorbing Ice Origin. 471
  • His two origins can be treated as separate people, allowing fire-based treasures to enhance one side without immediately destabilizing the other. 716
  • When merged, he can combine freezing attacks with concealed flame explosions. 801

Creation Scripture

Yan Feng's profound understanding of the Creation Scripture lets him alter and rebuild his forms.

  • He can shape Fire and Ice Bodies from his origin. 469 527
  • He can simulate human skin over his magma-like body. 469
  • He can store energy externally to amplify his power. 466

Flame and Ice Secret Methods

Yan Feng's Secret Method attainments stem from six lifetimes of cultivation and were regarded as superior even to those of Fire Wolf Chang Tian and the Flame God Hall's Grand Elder. 681

  • Fire Domain — Burns energy within its range; Qin Heng's space power was needed to insulate against it effectively. 466
  • Ice-and-fire diagram — Forms a purple-and-gold, Taiji-like flame pattern that can attack and bind multiple opponents. 485
  • Netherworld Fire — Burns Divine Souls directly; it destroyed Blood River's Divine Soul during the Ranking Tournament. 802
  • Time Stop Ice — Restrains physical bodies, though it requires an effective medium to harm its target. 812
  • Law Divine Power — At Star Lord First Order, he could already unleash power close to the Black Tower's eighth floor. 678

Combat Experience

Yan Feng's greatest advantage is the accumulated battle experience of six lives, including his former Eternal King-level cultivation.

  • He uses evasive movement, small-scale control methods, and precise attrition rather than wasting power on overwhelming attacks. 801
  • He can fight across realms; Qin Heng considered his potential far beyond the limits of the Black Tower evaluation system. 678
  • In the Ranking Tournament, he defeated Blood River by gradually reducing its body, then using Netherworld Fire when forced to reveal his ultimate technique. 801 802
  • He reached ninth place in the Void Ash God Kingdom Genius Competition. 873

Divine Soul Imprints

Yan Feng retains Divine Soul imprints from places visited in previous lives.

  • He can use those imprints to teleport directly to former Holy Land-level cities. 633
  • This made him capable of reaching locations such as Eastern Ancient City without Qin Heng's guidance. 633

Cultivation Guidance

Yan Feng has exceptional theoretical knowledge and can guide others through dangerous cultivation stages.

  • He helped Fang Lingxue consolidate the Grandmaster Realm and avoid potential side effects from the Spirit Transformation Scripture. 520
  • He taught Xing Er for more than a decade, including both cultivation and principles for living. 696
  • He later accepted additional disciples rather than establishing a bloodline clan. 1076

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • True Flame Staff — Yan Feng's signature weapon; in the Void Well, he used it to sweep through repeated battles and became a prominent fighter. 680
  • Palm-Sized Eternal Heart — A Second-Order rare treasure that strengthened his fire origin and enabled a temporary major increase in combat power. 716
  • Two Extremes Pearls — Red and blue rare treasures containing ice and fire power; custom-made to enhance both origins and provide an overall combat-power increase. 862
  • Fire God Spinal Sword — A powerful flaming Divine Sword gifted to him by Qin Heng. 1195
  • Law Treasures — Obtained two during Fire Wolf Chang Tian's journey to the Eastern Huaiyue Sky Pillar. 682 683

Relationships

  • Qin Heng — Close friend and sworn brother-in-arms. They cultivate, explore, fight, and plan for the future together; Qin Heng later gives Yan Feng high-grade treasures without hesitation. 471 485 1195
  • Xuan Nie — Companion and fellow reborn Saint Prince. Yan Feng encourages him not to compare himself to Yan Feng's six-lifetime accumulation. 467 678
  • Yu Ling — Companion who shares his Flame Path comprehension and joins Qin Heng's group in Earth and outer-realm adventures. 468 471
  • Martial Goddess — Ally in the Dragon Emperor's Cave Abode and Genius Competition; she allocated the Palm-Sized Eternal Heart to Yan Feng based on his fire cultivation. 712 716
  • Fang LingxueQin Heng's wife and a cultivation beneficiary of Yan Feng's guidance in the Spirit Transformation Scripture. 520
  • Xing Er — Yan Feng's disciple. Her death at the hands of Chang Tian and Golden Mosquito shattered his usual composure and intensified his pursuit of strength. 696 702
  • Fire Wolf Chang Tian — Flame God Hall elder who sought to recruit Yan Feng and later became one of the people responsible for Xing Er's death. 681 696
  • Crimson Moon King / Crimson Moon Saint Emperor — Yan Feng's principal enemy from his first life, one of the Kings who attacked the Extreme Flame Dynasty after his father's death. 1055 1182
