Yuno transfers into Shuchiin Academy's Class 1-D and immediately requests a seat change because she refuses to sit where Amano Yukiteru once sat. This reveals that she remembers Yukiteru despite the game's erasure of dead holders, then she contacts Nakano Miku as the “2nd” participant and threatens her silence. 63 64

Her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gasai, are found dead in the family villa's basement. Yuno remains composed, asks Kira Yoshikage to remove the corpses and cage, and later tells an inner voice that killing her parents had been her own choice.
